In April, I made a pre-order for 2011 a5 that was scheduled to arrive at the end of June with a loaner car to be picked up at the end of May until the new car arrived. I called in a week before picking up my loaner, only to have found out my previous sales guy left the dealership, my order was pushed back to 2012, and I will not be getting the car until at least the end of July. I was very disappointed that I was not informed of all this until I called in myself. When I arrived to talk to the new sales guy to renegotiate, not only was I not getting the loaner in time (signed on the previous agreement), I was not compensated for the extra wait time, on top of the titanium package that I ordered, which was no longer available on 2012 A5 premium plus models. The manager used the fact that the price of 2012 models would be marked up $500-800 during the negotiation. It blows my mind that they decided to push my order back to 2012, voiding the agreement signed back in April without telling me, and then using their own mistake against me. After receiving the car, I decided to purchase LoJack, which was scheduled to be installed a week later. I was told I would receive a loaner upon dropping off the car. When I arrived the next week, the service department did not know anything about a loaner. I was lucky enough that they had an extra one (useless if I did not know how to drive manual), but my impression of this dealer's bad customer service worsened.
I went to Jim Ellis Audi on Peachtree Industrial and instead of getting 4-cylinder, 2.0 Turbo Q5 I got a 0-cylinder, 0.0 Turbo Q0. I ordered a custom car for 2012 at a negotiated price, which reflected a manufacturer’s discount and destination fee discount on the buyer’s order. After paying a deposit based on the negotiated buyer’s order and after the car was shipped from Germany, the new car sales manager (Masud Wiggins) and salesperson (Marlene Topping) removed the dealer fee discount (~ $875). This is called Bait and Switch. Their argument was that since they did not sign the document, they were not obligated to honor anything that was negotiated. They did say that they would return our deposit, so, we hope that we will not lose any money in this process. In any case, be careful how you approach this dealer. Their unscrupulous tactics are unethical and for this reason we cannot recommend this dealer or this method of getting a Q5. We learned our lesson and will never do a pre-order, just negotiate and drive the car off the lot because they cannot go back on the price once you take the car.

This was my first experience of getting any service for our 2007 A4 - recently purchased from through Jeremy at Jim Ellis. We hadn't made our first payment on the car yet and the ignition started having problems. While I could have taken the car to Montgomery, Ala to be serviced (we live in Auburn, Ala.), I wanted to take it back to the original dealership since we hadn't had it very long. It was a good decision. Jeremy lined everything up for me. Chris took care of the rest. I asked for a loaner car because I wasn't sure if I would be leaving the car there to be fixed. I was given a 2011 A4 to drive. The loaner was wonderful. Turns out, I didn't need the loaner at all, but it was great to have the option. When I came back to get my car, everything was taken care of, there was no out of pocket cost to me (warranties) and I wasn't even asked to pay for the loaner. I am very impressed and grateful to have a dealer take such good care of its customers. Unless an emergency arises and I have to take my car to Montgomery because it is closer, I will be back to Jim Ellis for my service. Thank you!!!
