Casteel installed a new heating system in my home a year ago and also has inspected/tuned up both of my HVAC systems twice. Casteel technicians are excellent. They are friendly, professional, and very knowledgeable, as is the customer service staff at the office. Casteel offers a great of variety of top-notch HVAC systems at very competitive prices. I will not be using anyone else for my HVAC needs and can highly recommend them!
If you're like me, when I have to call in a professional into my home, I all too often feel as if I might be taken advantage of. Not so with Casteel. I've had a number of interactions with a variety of their team and I can testify "They are who they say they are...customer focused and trusted advisors." They took time and used video and images to show me what was going on in my crawl space, alleviating the need for me to crawl under my home to confirm their findings. I highly recommend them for your heating & AC needs.
I called today to schedule to get a quote on having some plumbing and duct work done and to relocate a water heater. The young lady I spoke to was polite but it seems Casteel has changed things up a bit. It seems they are more focused on sales rather than customer service. She says we charge $89 to come out and give a quote and they will send a licensed plumber but if you schedule now we will come out for $39. With the couple thousand I am about to spend to relocate pipes, ducts and a water heater $39 for a quote is an insult especially when their website has a link to wells fargo finance and states "free quote". They are ruining the brand Bob has worked so hard for many years to create. I have used them in the past for residential and commercial HVAC and they do exceptional work, the best I have ever seen. Just disappointed in the aggressiveness of trying to schedule a quote and ...paying for a quote? Maybe if I go for a job interview in the future I will charge $89 for my time to attend and their consideration to hire me see how that works out for me.
We have used casteelair as our maintenance service for 6 or 7 years, shortly after moving to the area. I have been happy until now. Over the summer the ac maintenance was done and we were told there were so many things wrong with the unit it would have to be replaced. Our home warranty service came out, added freon after clearing clog and the unit is working. I called a few times and was told a manager would call but never did. I got the feeling they are always trying to replace a unit rather than fix it but most of all they demonstrated poor customer service. They never called. Time to find a new company.
I had a totally new system installed a few months ago and a part went bad. They came back and replaced it immediately at no charge. They were on time, clean, and made sure to let me know what was happening each step of the way!
Their pricing was competitive and their technicians could not have been nicer. Recently we had an issue and they came by 10 the next morning. I could tell they did not have anyone available but they bent over backwards to make it happen.
Called back in June requesting Casteel to come out and made it clear that I needed late appointment. Pretty much 6pm or later. Was told no problem and they scheduled me for 7/22. Got a call yesterday and was told window would be 12-6pm. Told them no one would be home before 5pm at the earliest and that I had been specific with that request when I got my appoiment call. Today I got a call today at 2:45pm saying the tech was on the way. Very disappointed in there service. If I had known they could not meet my request at that time would have never scheduled with them.
I have used Casteel for many years. They have always provided GREAT service. No problems have gone unsolved. I would recommend them to anyone!!!!!
We are a nonprofit with multiple HVAC, electrical & plumbing issues. Casteel promptly visited our location, corrected problems and were very reasonable.
Their scheduling system has been down since yesterday, and I'm without air conditioning in July for an entire weekend. Lousy, incompetent business practices.
My upstairs A/C went out on a Saturday and I had someone come out on Monday to take a look. I had Casteel come out on Thursday to give me a quote on replacing the unit. The quote was reasonable and included a year of free maintenance on BOTH of my systems and a 10 year warranty. When they called to schedule the install for Tuesday, I was so disappointed that they couldn't come sooner. I had already been sleeping in the couch for days and now was going to have to continue through the weekend. When I expressed my issue, they offered to bring out a loaner window unit!! When they dropped it off, I realized that the unit was missing a piece to seal off the outside. I called Casteel back and they told me that they'd bring a new unit out after they bought it at Home Depot!! The install team arrived promptly Tuesday morning and the air was working a few hours later. They also helped move the drainage lines outside to help stop the erosion issue is been having. The team picked up after themselves and walked me through all of the documentation. I was so pleased with the level of service that Casteel has a new loyal customer!!
I needed six vents moved as part of a remodel. Got a quote and accepted. The installers showed up and did what I thought was a good job. I paid in full. 30 minutes later I bumped one of the returns and it came off of the main HVAC unit. The installers were unable to come back that day so another date was scheduled. They came and reattached the return. A few days later I discovered that one of the vents had not been moved, but instead a new one added. I called and a return date was scheduled for Wednesday 12-6. At 4:45PM I was called to let me know someone was on their way. Five minutes later I was contacted by the technician who had figured out he was not the right guy to do the work. Home office called me and was unable to send someone out that day, so I wasted a whole day waiting for them to come. This saga is not over yet, so I will probably update later Update 7/7. Casteel sent out their System Design Manager and QA manager this morning. The old vent was removed and the job is now complete. It took 4 visits but in the end they completed the job.
After having several bad experiences with another HVAC company, I did some research and decided to switch to Casteel. I scheduled a routine maintenance for my existing systems and was impressed with the technician. A few months later, I made the decision to finally replace my 35+ year old furnace in the basement and the associated air conditioning unit. Everything seemed fine at first; however, several weeks later my wife heard a slow drip of water coming from the room where the furnace was. The furnace had been installed with a cracked pipe and no pan underneath it, and there was water all over our basement floor that had also seeped into the wall and carpet on the other side of it. I will credit them for fixing the problem and getting a renovation company to dry everything out and do their best to repair the damage. Unfortunately, I can not give them even an average rating for botching the installation in the first place. Installing the system with a crack in the pipe is bad enough, but not even putting a pan underneath it to catch the water for just this type of situation is absolutely inexcusable.
