We've been a customer for two years. If we weren't moving, we would cancel today, but don't want to go thru the hassle of getting another alarm company for 2 months. My impression is that this company is under-funded and has inadequate resources to deal with its customers. Calling the 888 number with a problem, I'm left on hold on hold on hold to be told no techs are available for days to fix the problem. I expect sooner or later someone will have a real crisis, they won't respond and then they'll be sued for millions and put out of business. I think they'll richly deserve it.

Thank you for letting us know of your concern. A technician is coming to your home today as you know. The low battery signal from one of your transmitters resulted in an alert at the keypad and a call from our office. We had a technician call you and review with you how to change the battery at your request (so you would not have to pay us to come out - very understandable). You now understood that the 3.2 volts, you see on your battery tester, remaining on the existing battery is below the optimum level to meet performance standards, which is why the system is showing low battery. Hopefully this information will serv us both well going forward.

Do not expect Akerman to be in a hurry if your equipment goes down. I purchased their Lynx keypad and two cameras. The keypad allows you to view the cameras and this is not cheap. Well a few weeks after the installation I lost internet connectivity on the Honeywell wap device that controls the wifi access for the cameras. I called and spoke to customer service and they had to give my number to someone that might be able to help. Long story short after a few hours of over the phone troubleshooting at my request (they just wanted to schedule a tech) the wap device is bad. I called back to get another one and was told they don't ship parts and would have to schedule a tech to come out. Needless to say it was going to be a week before anyone could come out. I was told that is the only thing they could do. I have been a customer for several years and spent lots of money on equipment and monthly fees. They don't care about service after the sale. Trust me you are at their mercy when it comes to scheduling a tech. I am extremely frustrated that they would not try to get me up and running faster. You are not treated well after the sale of equipment. I will be looking for another monitoring service. If you can't be taken care of then why stay?????

I made an appt with Ackerman Security as I was looking to make some changes for better protection in my home due to recent break ins in my neighborhood. I was surprised and pleased a female came out! Ilene Schoolsky immediately put me at ease. She wasn't pushy at all, like a typical sales person. I could tell she was genuinely concerned and together we walked around my house inside and out and she and she helped point our the vulnerable areas in areas I never paid attention to. When we walked outside I could see how easy it was in certain areas for an intruder. I was also surprised by the low monitoring fee as my previous security company was over $50 a month. I am loving the app on my phone to control my alarm from wherever I am. Thank you for sending Ilene. I will continue to recommend Ilene and Ackerman Security.

My neighborhood was having a few break-ins and I wanted to have a few interior and exterior cameras installed around the property. I met with Brian Lewis and he took the time to explain the different options for detection and camera surveillance. I was pleased with the knowledge that he had for the different items. My next step is to get my husband to decide what he would like installed. I have recommended Brian to my neighbors and homeowners association.

Brian Lewis is one of the best within your security systems organization because he addressed all of our home protection concerns while illustrating a high level of customer service. He wasn't a typical pushy sales guy... Again a great asset to your company. My family is truly thankful for the peace of mind, kindness, helpfulness, and friendliness Brian Lewis provided. Thank you, and have an outstanding day! All the best, MJC

Just finished my free consultation with Ackerman Security and I decided to have them as our new security company! She was very knowledgable of the business and advised me of all Ackerman had to offer. Explained to her my frustration and disappointment with my last security company & she put my mind at ease. Thank again Karen!

Ackerman installed a state of the art Honeywell esecurity and fire detection system for me on short notice. Exceptional customer experience, start to finish. Every aspect from my initial phone call through installation was done incredibly well. The employees with whom I worked were competent, knowledgeable, and knew how to explain system capabilities and operations to me. I give them my strongest support to be your provider of choice if you need a security system and/or fire detection system.

Ackerman refuses to rebate back 3 to 4 yrs of monthly auto draft payments even though there has been no security services of any kind for the entire period.Im a customer since 2004. Aprox 4 yrs ago I switched to voip home telphone system. They never tested or checked on the system entire period. Just found out absolutely no service entire 4 yr period. They say "I should have told them of changing my type of phone its in the contract signed in 2004" I called them to advise of my changed telephone system. Regardless it seems if they are billing each month the company should have a way to tell no service is being provided. A genuine ripoff here.

Please contact me to review and resolve, firstname.lastname@example.org. I will research and if correct resolve. No alarm company is alerted if a customer abandons their landline. A document was reviewed and signed at point of sale covering this. I can understand that perhaps you did not recall in 2015 having this conversation in 2004.
James McCauley was our sales rep and he was very knowledgeable and patient. He explained all the details and even went out of his way to install yard signs when the technician ran out. This will add an extra level of security after break-ins at our house. Thank you James.
