Birds are cute, until they bring bird mites. Our baby girl was literally 48 hours old when we came home and found our house crawling with mites that are about the size of the period at the end of... this sentence. Fun fact--when denied of their usual hosts, bird mites spread out looking for a new host. They're very difficult to remove. The horror stories online range from calling an exorcist to setting oneself on fire, and if I remember right one guy became a monk and moved to the desert. Or something. Anyway, after a horrible night, I called Team Pest USA, desperate for help. We'd been bitten all night, despite hours of work the prior day. So early the next day Richard Dyer showed up. I heard a crack of thunder when he and his sidekick arrived, and a tumbleweed rolled out in front of them. "I'm here about your bugs," he said, gnawing on what I thought was a cigar, but which later turned out to be a rattlesnake fang. "I don't take kind to bugs messin' with babies." Oh my Godzilla, it was on. Over the next few hours, Richard and his sidekick (he answered to "Odin") annihilated the mites. I know I heard "King Nothing" by Metallica playing in the background, as Dyer personally made it his mission to nuke the site from orbit. He came out multiple times that day to make sure our newborn especially wouldn't deal with the bugs anymore. Bird nest: Extracted. Vent barriers: installed. We: Very impressed. No bugs since. Last Fall I called and asked to have someone visit to take care of a bug problem I had on my deck. The person who visited came out and looked around but then told me he didn't have time to do the job and I should call back when I had a coupon. The job was just for a deck, and not a big one. I expressed a concern about the chemicals they use near my bird feeder and potted plants, and he wouldn't answer my questions about that at all, he literally ignored me when I spoke to him. I called the company and someone else came out and did a fine job, and I signed up for quarterly visits to keep the problem under control. I called back today because I hadn't heard from them in about six months and I just saw that my ant problem had come back. The lady on the phone said the person who visited last year (I don't know if that was the first or second person) wasn't with them any longer and I wasn't signed me up for regular service. She wasn't all that nice about it. This company just doesn't seem to be well organized. Its too bad, because my bug problem disappeared overnight after they visited the second time, but this is just too much trouble. I need someone who's reliable, organized, well informed, and friendly would be nice too.

I am always skeptical that "free appraisals" will not turn in to expensive "estimates," but the Team Pest USA guy spent a lot of time looking at my house only to tell me that everything looked really good and I didn't need his services. When I originally drafted this review, I was very frustrated with the administrative staff at the branch I contacted. However, just after I posted the review I was contacted by the VP of customer relations who was very apologetic and resolved the issue right away. Based on this level of responsiveness I would recommend this conpmay. Nowadays, customer service is not what is used to be, but at least you know that when you have a legitimate issue, It will be addressed with the appropriate level of attention.

After I wrote a non-five star review for Team Pest USA regarding starting a termite contract for my home and noted my dissatisfaction, Terrence (VP of Customer Relations) called me and devised a "satisfaction plan". He addressed the issues that I had and sent Scott (the manager of the Roswell office) over to do a walk through of my property for quality control. Unfortunately, since weeks had passed from the installation (I had not gotten around to reviewing them until later), there was nothing much he could do. However, I do appreciate the efforts that they made and hope that this kind of quality will continue for my quarterly inspections and that it will not take another unsatisfactory review for them to have to make it up after the fact. My faith in the choice of hiring this company for my lifetime termite contract has been renewed.

I have waited to write my review so that I wouldn't be unfair to the company or the tech. The last time Pest USA was at my house was on May 9th. This was after a series of frustrating calls to the office in order to work out and schedule appointments. Every time I called the office it was as if they heard NOTHING I had to say. I called three times trying to let them know a certain time wouldn't work, I told them I needed to be at the house because I need the tech inside and I wanted to end the outside service. They set up a time, I waited for two hours after and wasted an entire day only for no one to show. I called the next day, it was a Saturday and I was told that complaints won't be taken on a Saturday! REALLY? To be fair when the techs showed up they did a great job with a difficult house, I would totally recommend MO, but I'm not sure how you stay in business with such poor communication between customer, office and tech. Having a computerized message calling and saying we will be there in two days is not good enough, especially when I say on three occasions I work and we need a time that you will be at the house. I have been sent a bill for a service I didn't want and I'm suppose to pay that? At the moment I wouldn't recommend Pest USA until they get their stuff together.

Danny Rogel serviced my townhouse for roaches and earwigs in the most professional, knowledgeable, and courteous manner I have had yet to experience. He was well within his time window, took the time to explain to me the difference between the types of bugs I was seeing, and demonstrated sealing techniques that would essentially eliminate my problem forever. He was realistic and didn't try to up-sell me any extra services. He was also personable and I felt very comfortable with him working in my home. I decided to go with Team pest USA after checking with 3 companies. Miguel explained well for the reason how animals got in the attic and he promised that the problem for the attic noise would go away with his solution.
