Atlas Piers operates under the leadership of President Wayne Farris, who launched the business in 1987. Throughout the last two decades, Atlas Piers has grown in reputation and size because of focusing and specializing on one thing -foundation support and, in particular, piering.
While other companies have entered the market and attempted to incorporate piering as a sideline. We have stuck to what makes us the best choice. We do one thing and we do it well.
Our mission is simple:.. To serve our clients with their best interests at heart, even if it means diagnosing the problem and eliminating our services. We do this because it is our ultimate desire to glorify God in all that we do, be it personal or professional.

The company and employees were very professional and helpful. The work was done in a timely fashion and I was made aware of any necessary changes to the estimated job. Highly recommend them for any... foundation work you may need done.VIEW MORE »VIEW LESS »
Our home is in the mountains of Big Canoe, GA - that's the good news. The bad news...our porch was slowly sinking. Atlas Piers came out, surveyed the job, told us what was needed, gave us a written... estimate, and came to work - on the agreed upon date & time. Their crew was absolutely exceptional: courteous, diligent, and above all efficient. We are not easily impressed with most contractors - these fellows, and the company are absolutely phenomenal!VIEW MORE »VIEW LESS »
I am not sure how many of the reviews on this company are real. My experience with Atlas Piers was anything but 5 star. I was given a $3200 quote to place two piers to stabilize the foundation at the base of my garage. This included 20 feet per post. The quote did clearly stated additional charge per foot after 20 feet. I figured there was likely around a 30% uncertainty at most and had budgeted accordingly I was informed that the first post required 50 feet of additional pier (70 feet total) and on the second pier, the worker wanted to keep going after 39 before I stopped him. Then he felt that 39 feet was probably okay for stability. The additional digging is high profit for the company and they have every incentive in the world to run up the bill. My bill was now almost double the estimate and over by $2000. This blew my budget. The timing of the job was not critical and I would have waited to get it done if the estimate was going to be over $5000. I talked to a VP and he agreed to allow me to make payments on balance over $3200. I needed one year to make these payments but by 6 months they got aggressive and wanted full payment of the $1300 balance. My credit score is near 800 at age 48 and I would have eventually paid the remaining balance. Beware that your final bill could be 2-4 times the estimate and plan accordingly!

Chad and crew worked efficiently and professionally on our steeply sloping yard to get all the way down to our slab to jack up part of our house. They cleaned up and re-seeded the grass. They really knew what they were doing.

I just met with Chad and showed him every concern I had - and there were a lot! Guess what? He said that there was nothing I needed for them to do, just gave me some hints about what I could do (myself!) to take care of the items I was concerned about. Did not try to "sell" me anything! Great guy, great company!!

Chad Costello, Atlas Piers VP, personally came to my house latter part of oct 2014 to assess issues relative to house foundation. HE is a man of great integrity. The team that performed the work was knowledgeable and professional. Highly recommend this company. Gwen Bonner

I chose Atlas Piers over 5 other companies gave me estimates. It was the very best choice I could have made. I was impressed with Wayne Farris initially, and then as I checked references, read reviews, dealt with the office staff, I knew this was for me. They were explicit, patient, and I liked that they were experts and did nothing but piers. The crew and supervisor was on time, efficient, easy to communicate with, cleaned up after the job, explained everything. They worked with me every step of the way and I have no inside cracks as a result of the 8 piers and lift of the house, to date. The original foundation cracks that were there before were closed and sealed inside and out. This company is truly professional as well as humane! A rare quality, they treat the customer with respect and understanding. Thank you for a job well done. It's not a job you ever want to need, but it is mandatory if you want to ever sell. That is the return on your money. The price was fair and totally warranted. Thank you Wayne and Karen. Anita L.

We recently had Atlas Piers work on our foundation. We couldn't be happier with this company. Wayne Farris, President of the company, personally came to our home and prepared a proposal that included using resistance piers as a solution to the cracking occurring both inside and outside of our home. The crew was professional and obviously very experienced with installing the piers. They were also very punctual, friendly and easy to communicate with. The office staff was helpful throughout the process. We hated to have to have this work done, but feel very confident that we made the right choice in having Atlas Piers complete it for us.

Atlas lifted and supported my house with a series of seven piers. This happened before we bought our house, which we've now lived in for more than a decade. There are no cracks in any of our walls. Quite simply, the Atlas piers fixed any support problems the building had after it was originally constructed. However, I am now selling my house. I understand people get naturally frightened when they hear that there are support structures under a home. I am also not an engineer. So my realtor called Atlas Piers to make sure that he understood exactly what had been done so that we can properly disclose and represent the work to prospective buyers who want reassurance. Remember, I was not the original customer. Yet the president of the company pulled up the file for my house, drove out to meet us, and then explained exactly why the supports we have in place were first put there, how they work, and why we know they've been doing their job for all these years. And he didn't charge us anything for the visit or to write a letter for possible buyers so that they, too, will understand exactly what Atlas did and why. (The work is still under warranty for many more years to come!) That is GREAT customer service that shows a long term commitment to one's work. Not only have the piers done their job, the people who put them in place have stood firmly behind them. I would happily recommend this company for this type of work.

Atlas Piers came to our house for garage wall cracks and cracks on the other side of the house. They determined that piers would solve the settling issue we had in our garage. The other side did not appear to have a settling issue. Wayne recommended another company to do soil testing to confirm that we were on firm ground. The other company did inexpensive testing and confirmed that there was not problem with the foundation or soil. We also have a header issue in the garage which Wayne was able to provide another referral to have that fixed. They were always on-time, very professional, and thoroughly explained everything. Very pleased and would highly recommend.

Wayne Farris was kind enough to let me schedule an appointment later than the cut off time on Oct 23. He was at my house early and was very receptive to my concerns. He gave me several alternatives & advised me as if I was his own family. He did not try to sway me & was patient & professional. I will not hesitate to call them when I'm ready to proceed. Kennesaw

Zero results after spending over $11K. Instead of resolving issues with my concerns, just threatened me with liens, voided warranty, lawayers, etc. Never recieved any docuemnts showing their work or warranty info. No visible results on my property either. Look for a more reputable company!

This was the first that we had heard of any dissatisfaction with our work on this project. The facts of this matter are that once the project was completed, the home owner ignored our first invoice, past due notice and a kindly worded email from our office manager reminding him that he was severely past due. When I found out that we had not been paid on this project that we started the first week of May, I sent the home owner an email explaining that we would not issue a warranty if the invoice was not paid in full by the end of the week. At that point, the home owner became irrate and stated that I had threatened him. The very next day, we received this review on Kudzu. In my opinion, his review is an obvious attempt at retribution. Thankfully, we finally received payment. As per our company protocol we will not release the construction documents and warranty until we are paid.
I'd ask that you please discredit this negative review as it is certainly not a reflection of how we conduct business. I believe that it is more likely a representation of this particular home owners aggravation with me personally in trying to secure payment for the work we performed. Please consider our stellar reputation in this industry since 1987 as well as the remainder of our reviews when researching and forming an opinion of our reputation.
