We are very happy with the new air conditioner and so far it cools much better than the last one. The owner of the company came personally and spent a lot of time explaining the differences between... all the brands and features. All the other companies recommended "their" brand, but Rich (owner) gave us a lot of choices from many brands and only offered suggestions about what were the best options for our home (there are a lot more choices to make than what you might think there are). I just had this outfit replace my central cooling and heating systems. The cost was $350 higher than the other outfit I liked but they were willing to match the cost and I ultimately felt more... comfortable having this one in my home. I know a thing or two about this field because of my line of work and this outfit was the most straight forward and honest about what I needed. I did my research and they are also one of the better rated outfits in this area. I figure it's only fair that I rate them as well for others looking for cooling and heating systems to see. We needed a new AC/Heating unit and called this highly-rated company because we were impressed with our consultant, the price was reasonable and the company had a good reputation. Our experience couldn’t have been better. From the office staff (Candace and Laura) to our installation consultant (Challen) to the testing technicians (Tom and Jim) and the installation technicians (Enrique and Ryan), the professionalism, efficiency and kindness we experienced from the entire staff was impressive. Challen was always responsive to our needs and ensured the installation was completed properly. This entire staff gave us a thorough, professional and excellent delivery of product and services and they all cared about customer satisfaction more than anything. Anytime I had a question, the office staff made me feel important as a customer. The price, rebates and service contracts offered were explained fully. With a great attitude, they tested our system thoroughly before and after installation to determine leakage. They installed the unit with the utmost care and confidence. Just an incredible group of people making sure we were happy with everything regarding the purchase, installation and satisfaction of the product. With knowledgeable, helpful and courteous people like these, it is no wonder that Magic Touch is regarded as the reputable and excellent company it is. This review is a tad late as the work was performed pre-summer. We were impressed with the workmanship and professionalism of the 2 techs that performed the replacement of 2 AC/Heating units. Enrique & Twain were on time, polite and they went above and beyond to insure our satisfaction from beginning to end. If you're looking for Top Notch go with Magic Touch Air.

Absolutely SUPER!!!! I'm not usually the person you can expect to go write a review on the internet for a company whether my experience was good or bad, but I absolutely had to tell people about this company. They went out of their way to impress me and my husband with out of this world customer service, from the same day service, the half hour call before that came exactly a half hour before the technician arrived, the super sharp and clean technician that arrived (and his truck too), everything!!! I expected the prices to be very high with the level of service we received, but was more then pleasantly surprised when it was much less then we assumed it would cost. Magic Touch you deserve your super reviews and I'm happy to give you another one, you really deserve it!!! I don't know if the better business bureough accepts praises about a company but I will be calling them to try!!!

My original review of Magic Touch was less than flattering. It was titled "Lost Trust" and this was exactly what I felt. I'd purchased a new air condition from them and after the installation my roof was leaking. Magic touch worked with me to determine the cause of the leak, recommended a roofer, and ultimately coordinated with the roofer to get the installation done right. Unfortunately a year later I needed to have some repair work done on the unit. Surprisingly the work was not what I would have expected. One of the panels was not properly, the employee was defensive, and the price was much higher than I expected. After so much trouble and what I felt was a less than quality job my decision was to simply use a competitor in the future, write a review and move on. To my surprise Mr. Morgan read my review and began working with me to address my concerns. For the President and CEO of a company to take a personal interest in one customer is far beyond my expectations of any large business. But he did and has spent a considerable amount of his personal time earning back my trust. While I'm not in a position to determine how competitive their pricing is, I can tell you that they WILL stand behind their work no matter how trivial. If you have an issue, whether it be with an employee, repair, or installation place a call and your concerns will not fall on deaf ears. I commend Magic Touch and Mr. Morgan's professionalism. They have regained my trust and earned my respect.

Just had one of our 12 year old a/c units replaced. The service we have received both during the installation and on follow up calls to adjust the new system has been beyond any we could have expected. Everyone from the office personnel to the salesman to the technicians has shown such a level of professionalism and genuine concern for our satisfaction that they have earned a customer for life. Just got a brand new HVAC system from magic touch and everything about the process was great. The sale guys (Challen) was fantastic at suggesting some vent additions to better cool some of my hotter rooms and the install guys were all great. My install wasn't hiccup free but magic touch made sure to get the issues I had resolved (and then some), Rick really went above and beyond to make sure this system was done the way he would want it in his own house and even had issues from the original builder corrected along the way. I've used another local company (John's Refrigeration) in the past and was ripped off by them twice and now that I have used magic touch I wouldn't go anywhere else.

I called Magic Touch based on the Kudzu comments I found here. Our upstairs system wasn't working well because of a leak that we already knew of. They found the leak, took pictures of it while in the attic (so we wouldn't have to climb up there)and gave us options to ignore, repair or replace the unit. The salesman was polite and patient (not the used car type by any means.) We had several questions that were well answered. Ultimately we chose to replace. The installation went well, the installers were courteous and efficient. I have since recommended MT to my employer. As I sit typing this, MT is replacing a unit for our office. I have absolutely no reservation in recommending Magic Touch to anyone... and I'm normally a skeptic.

I researched Kudzu for a good A/C service with reasonable pricing to get my A/C systems checked. Magic Touch charges $69 per unit for the check, which I was fine with. With the reviews they have, I thought I couldn't go wrong. But, I may have been mistaken. The technician was very good and I have no complaints about his service. What I do have a complaint about it the prices.. They charged me 375.73 for a motor I can find online for 99.48. The average is 115.00. Part number verified. They charged me 182.89 for a relay I can get for 41.70. Part number verified. They charged me 78.61 for a capacitor I can get for less than 25 dollars, however the exact part number was not verified and I looked at the high end to give benefit to Magic Touch. So total cost was 824.92 for 166.18 worth of parts and 3 hours of work. You be the judge. Seems like I payed heavy for the service rendered no matter how you slice it. I talked with Brandon (the service manager), and he said you signed on the bottom line for the work. True, but I told the technician I didn't want to be charged double for a part I can get cheaper somewhere else. And the technician said, no not double.. And he was right. More like triple. Anyway, you will get good service but don't sign unless you are ready to pay high fees. The price of the parts does include labor, overhead and technician. Which means I paid 219.58 an hour for those costs. Too high in my book.

I want to be sure every one of clients is treated fairly and feel they’re receiving great value when they call us for service. You were quoted the full price before we began any work, and you authorized the price by signature. Requiring authorization before work begins is how we ensure our clients are fully aware of their costs involved with a repair. While I feel we’ve been honest and fair, I want to make sure you feel the same way. I won’t apologize for our price; it’s based on a formula that covers our overhead and field service costs, plus allows for a modest profit. You state the service was good, we showed up on time, we had the needed parts on the truck, the technician was knowledgeable and well trained, WE cover those parts and labor for one year, we give a lifetime workmanship guarantee, etc....you got what you paid for...GREAT SERVICE from a company that will be around to stand behind it's work and unlike so many others that cut corners on their service or parts that aren't around when you need them because a part failed or their undertrained technician misdiagnosed the problem and they couldn't keep their doors open because they were not earning enough profit to. For the record, I shopped three competitors on your repairs...two where more expensive, one was $38 less...none of them have the reputation we do for standing behind our work! It's hard to consider the costs involved in running a business and delivering the level of service we do. I know the $12 cheeseburger I had for lunch may have used $2 in ingredients, but the presentation was very nice, the service was fantastic and so was the burger so I happily paid $15 with the tip! After much research I arranged to have three reputable contractors submit a proposal for the work. had an issue with high utility bills at a rental property, my mgmt company called Magic touch at my request ( I don't trust their cut rate vendor) on a friday and Ryan showed up on time the next day (saturday) and did a complete check of the system and found the unit to be in good working order and provided some suggestions that possibly the barometric damper was stuck open for a time when the evap cooler was being used causing the A/C to run alot more than needed. To be honest I was fully expecting the tech to call me and say the unit was toast. A neighbor called me today and wanted to know who I sent over to the house for the service and he said he would be calling Magic touch tomorrow about his unit.
nybill38, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with Magic Touch and for your business. I will be sure to pass your review on to Ryan and the rest of the team. Hopefully Ryan's assessment that the barometric damper was not fully closing was the root of your high utility bills since the rest of the HVAC system checked out ok. This can be a fairly common problem with homes that also have an evaporative cooler. If your renters still find that the utility bills are remaining higher than they should be, keep in mind we can also perform a whole home energy audit which could unveil other sources of the problem such as missing or failing insulation, air infiltration, duct leakage, etc. Both utility companies offer rebates for both testing and repairs for many of these tests which we would be happy to share more about.
I chose Magic Touch based in large part on the many positive reviews. I bought a new PREMIUM Trane heat pump but I did NOT get a premium installation. Magic Touch had to return to try and dampen the unit noise. I would not recommend this company. UPDATE - While the owner is defensive in his responses on Kudzu, he makes no effort to contact the customer when the customer responds to his message.
Update to original reply: Dawg1995, Although I did in fact respond to you and we did send out not only the Comfort Consultant who you originally purchased the unit from but also our Installation Manager, and they located the source of the noise issue and fixed it in a timely manner, you have failed to update your review. I wish you would as we did in fact back up our work and promises! Kudzu readers; we did in fact discover that due to Dawg1995's unique flat roof and existing roof curb application, there was a vibration noise that we were able to correct. It was a simple fix and a matter of installing some additional vibration isolation pads, which we did as quickly as possible upon figuring out where the noise was coming from. I did not feel my response was defensive, nor did I fail to respond. Dawg1995's negative review was posted before he even gave us ample time to respond. As can be seen in my replies to ALL of our reviews, good or bad, I make sure to respond to EVERYONE. Admittedly we can make mistakes, we're only human, but we make sure we make it right as can be seen by our hundreds of great reviews and our reputation everywhere you look. MT came out Monday morning @ 11am and found a bad relay on my carrier heat pump. Put in new relay and heat pump worked fine until the next day when it stopped cooling. The good: they arrived within 40 mins. of my call that my unit was not working again. The bad: MT said the part was bad already and had to put in a new one. I'm hoping it was just a one time deal and this won't happen again. I was impressed with how fast they were back out to fix and everyone there is really friendly and polite. Per MT: "parts fail and we'll be here when they do" I found that to be true on both counts so I give 5 stars overall and for service and 4 stars for the quality and value of the part that lasted one day. Overall I see why so many like this company and now I do to.

As we guarantee all the parts we install for a minimum of one year (even if the manufacturer of the part doesn't), we are as displeased as you when a part does fail. We had an appointment with another company who didn't show. When my wife called to find out what time they would arrive they told her "we don't see you on our schedule" when she insisted she had an appointment and even the name of the person who made the appointment they told her "your appointment is for next week". Why on earth would we wait a week in this heat? Next we called Magic Touch Air Conditioning who was here ON TIME, ON THE RIGHT DAY, the same day! I have been doing a/c homework for about 2 years now and have had many estimates. I finally gave Magic Touch a call and they sent out greg. From just the first "handshake" I felt comfortable with this guy. He did his thing and came up with 3 different units that would fit my house. That amazed me because all the other companies would just favor one unit. After looking at all my estimates, I went with Magic Touch. I just got my unit installed on 7/31/10 and Rick (install manager) and his crew, Paul and Roberto, were very nice and professional. I will recommend them to anyone.
