Please do not use Universal Heating and Air! They are overpriced and will recommend service that does not need to be done. In January we had Universal out for general maintenace as we hadn't had the unit checked in a while although it was working fine. They decided they need to replace a part which I had them do. (Sorry I can't remember what they replaced). However the heating unit stopped working 3 times after that and we had to have them come out and replace this part twice as what they had put in "went bad". The third time they came out they now said we needed a new gas valve and control board so we should just replace the unit. Had Reliable come out for a second opinion and all we needed was the gas valve for a few hundred - did not need to replace the unit. Then had Universal out this spring as we'd already paid for a service contract. On our basement heat pump the repairman stated we had a freon leak and the contacter needed to be replaced. The repairman pointed out a crack - said that's probably your leak - may want to replace this unit with all these repairs. Again, had Reliable out for a second opinion on these repairs and for $125 had the freon leak fixed in the valve stem. The supposed crack the Reliable Tech just shook his head and said that would have nothing to do with a freon leack. He just cleaned the contacter, nothing wrong with it. So buyer beware and make sure you get a second opinion if Universal recommends repairs or replacing a unit!!

I have been a Universal customer for years and use them for my rental properties. I have always had a good experience but this time I feel I got the All Star tech! Brahim is his name and I will always ask for him by name for now on given the superior experience I had today. The guy is extremely knowledgeable, very courteous, and knows how to give people a good customer services experience. Being that the techs are the face of the company, he is a very good one to have there and he should be rewarded in some way! Companies should always value their employees especially when they help the company like he does.
Have always had great service fro ARS Universal Marietta and last week had a wonderful technician (Jonathan) who solved a problem for us in our duct system. What great personal service and even was very gracious putting up with a puppy that was sure that he arrived to play with her. Will happily recommend Jonathan and ARS Universal to anyone in need of air conditioning or heating work.
I had an ac unit installed on a Monday, by David And Justin and on Tuesday I decided I wanted a larger unit. They came over again on Wednesday and worked to remove the unit they had just installed. They worked straight through to remove and re-install a larger unit and furnace. During this time they were very cheerful and kept me informed. Upon finishing the install they cleaned up and made sure everything was back where it needed to be and we were satisfied.

We had a great experience with ARS. They were very quick to respond to the initial call for an estimate, and were able to quickly schedule an installation appointment. The prices were very competitive, and they offered great financing. Ryan and Kevin were our technicians. They did a great job. They were very thorough, knowledgeable, neat, and were careful to answer all my questions. They were also very patient with my two little boys who were excited to watch the "working guys!" As a bonus, the unit that I paid for was not available on the day I scheduled my install, and rather than postponing they gave me a free upgrade to an even more efficient system. I'm a happy customer!
Profecional service provided by ARS Senior Service Technician Mr.Terance Neal. Both units where checked for proper operating Amperage,Freon and coiles clean with a water hose. Very satisfied with their introductory offer of $69.00 per unit which include up to 2LBs. of Freon, and a $50 visa gift card. In addition I received a 5% senior discount. Great introdutory service for those customer looking for a reputable company.
Dwight, the technician, arrived exactly at 8 a.m. (first call). Found him to be personable, knowlegeable and observant of our white carpet by using shoe protectors. I asked quite a few questions regarding his service to my two units which he answered without reservation. I was particularly impressed by his asking me to witness the amount of coolant ($60 a pound) he had to supply to one of the units. I regard Dwight as an asset to ARS and appreciate the promotion letter I was mailed. Jack Allison
Tim was very helpful and made sure I understood options available with the maintenance plan. He also went beyond my expectations cleaning the condensing unit and removing all the debris collected over time. He also cleaned the box around the air filter thoroughly. His personality was outstanding and I felt comfortable having him in and out of the house. I would recommend him to anyone!
Very poor customer service, they completely messed up the appointment time (we confirmed a scheduled service for sometime between 9-1, but they had us down for 1-6 somehow). I called at 12:30 to inquire, after a little back-and-forth, they sent out a technician who arrived 45 mins later. The Carton P was a great technician and very thorough. He deserves the stars.
