We had our deck replaced by Archadeck of Greater Atlanta and couldn't be more pleased with the final result. Both Sol and Kimberly were great to deal with.
Great work done by Archadeck of Greater Atlanta (Sol Elisha, owner). We hired Archadeck to build a screened porch and outside deck. They provided us with great ideas (where other contractors had... failed) and their crew was dependable and did top quality work. Their design anticipated our electrical needs with no hidden costs or add-on fees. Our deck is beautiful and we couldn’t be happier with the results! Their bid was neither the lowest nor the highest, but I believe the value for the dollar was the best. The only negative is that the slow county inspectors (Cobb) delayed construction periodically, which meant the completion date was delayed. Overall, I highly recommend Archadeck of Greater Atlanta if you desire a beautiful porch addition to your home!VIEW MORE »VIEW LESS »
We had been burned by contractors in the past so we were very skeptical at first. Sol told me he wanted to change my mind about contractors and he did. Sol and Kimberly were very creative when it came to design. They were flexible when it came to scheduling and meeting with us. It was not a perfect experience but what project ever is? Sol acknowledged the bumps in the road and remained professional at all times and focused on solving problems. He made a lot of accommodations for us throughout the entire experience. The quality of the decks that Archadeck built for us was outstanding. But what I most appreciated was how Sol ran the business. As cliché as it sounds, he really is customer focused. I would highly recommend Archadeck to my family, friends and neighbors. Thanks Sol and Kimberly!
We are so happy with our new backyard living project from Archadeck! They are incredibly detail oriented and know from top to bottom how to communicate and deliver on what they promise. We've had several construction and remodel projects performed over the years at our home and we have never been happier than we are with Archadeck. Now that the weather has started to cool a bit, we can't wait to spend as much time as we can on our new deck and enjoy our family together around our new fireplace.
With so many contractors to choose from in Alpharetta, Archadeck thanks you for choosing us! It was a real pleasure working with you and your ideas to make a great place for family to gather!
My wife and I made the mistake of contracting with Archadeck of Greater Atlanta to build a sunroom and deck off of our kitchen. Nothing Months longer. Workmanship was so bad that what they did one week they would have to redo the next time they came out. 4 days work in a month was about all they would do. And they would be gone by 2:30pm. They would work a couple of days, then disappear for weeks. Just poor work and very little communication. Never could we recommend this company. And even though we paid in full, their salesman has now placed a labor lien on our property because he has some kind of dispute with them. Now I am going to have to get a lawyer to deal with this lien on my property. Trust me, you do not want these headaches. Added 1/31/2012. Everything written above was factual as I knew it to be at the time. Does not appear to be a lien placed, and without a lien being placed a lawyer was not contacted. The rest I have no interest in arguing about. I do not want Archadeck to come out and 'fix' anything at this time. I want them to leave me alone.
To be clear, there never was a lien filed on your home. As a matter of policy, Archadeck pays all labor and material bills in a timely manner. As well, if a lien is placed on your home as a result of one of our projects, it is our policy to use all legal means to assist you in removal of improper liens. Accordingly, even though no legal lien of any type was placed on your project, if an improper lien was filed please let us know. You received a certified letter which included your waiver of lien from Archadeck. We have had 4 phone conversations with you advising we want to make an appointment to review your quality issues. To this date you have not given us the appointment or specific issues for us to address. We are concerned with quality and want to ensure that your project looks beautiful. Unfortunately, with regards to the length of the project, we offer no excuses. The project took longer than it should have. Twice, the windows we orded came in and either were the wrong size or not to the level of quality your requested. This explains the gaps in production as the custom sizes for your project took 4 to 6 weeks each time from the factory. Again we take responsibility for the delays. Finally, we apologize that the former salesman sent you a personal letter attempting to scare you into paying him money. Our legal team have persued and won and employment case against him. He had no grounds to file a lien against you and in fact never attempted to. There is no lien, or lien record against you. In fact there never was. You did not need to retain legal services for this issue. We even sent you a letter specifically outlining our case and lien waivor from Archadeck releasing you from any such liability. With these facts, I think it only accurate to correct your previous post with regards to liens and attorney's as this is only hyperbole meant to damage our reputation.
I am very pleased with the challenging project that Archadeck just completed for me. They took down my existing deck, and built a much larger deck (15' x 28') with a complete under deck system and beautiful flagstone patio underneath. The project was complicated by the steep grade of the hillside in my backyard, which they overcame by incorporating heavy stepping stones and garden lights seamlessly tying in both functionality and aesthetics. While the project did take a few weeks longer than anticipated, I feel the results were more than worth it. Sol and his team went out of their way to block off time with me for material selection and creative dialogue regarding my project vision. If you are looking for professionals that don't take short cuts and strive for perfection, I highly recommend Archadeck to you.
Your project had a little bit of everything! A beautiful deck with our custom and proprietary water tight construction. The finish looks custom built and it looks like it is an original part of the home instead of an after market add on. You used a beautifl stone to cover your concrete patio and the stone staircase leading down to your entertainment area is very impressive looking. We really enjoyed working with you and appreciate your business.
For some bizarre reason, even after a saleswoman AND her boss came to my house to see what I needed, they didn't have the courtesy to send me the estimate or even call me back! What a waste of their time and mine. They don't need my business in this economy? The boss even inferred perhaps what I really wanted was a "handyman." Well you never know who you are talking to, or how much business they can bring you. You are a terrible businessman if this is how you treat potential customers. However, Archadeck's competitor, Atlanta Decking and Fence Company (atlantadecking.com), was 5-star in every regard: courtesy, responsiveness, price, quality, timely delivery, and we get LOTS of compliments on the results. I will be giving all my future business to Atlanta Deck and Fence and recommending them to EVERYONE.
Lotsofriends, with a perfect BBB rating since 1992, we are sorry that you took offense to our honesty at advising you we were not the right company for the type of work you were looking to address. We advised you upfront that our process involved design/build of very high quality projects where consumers rely on us to deliver outstanding designs and then build with only the highest quality materials. We are not a repair company though I'm glad you were able to find someone to handle your situation. Thank you again though for your interest and we would be happy to help you in the future if you are in the market for a great outdoor living project.
Archadeck is probably one of the best companies we have ever used for our home improvement projects. Honest, reliable, hard-working, excellent quality, are just some of the words to use to describe them. Jeff worked with us to make sure we stayed within budget. No "sales" job at all. Our new deck, patio, firepit, and walkways are gorgeous. Thanks so much for an awesome job.
Archadeck was high quality from start to finish with our replacement deck. Proposal stage was handled professionally and work was done efficiently and on budget. The carpentry crew saved our landscaping and cleaned up very well. Old deck was taken down and dumpster hauled away in one day. Would definitely recommend.
We had a deck built by Archadeck about a year ago. We have let it go through last summer, fall and winter and now we are ready to stain it. There were a couple of minor issues that I wanted addressed before we stained. I e-mailed the company and within a couple of hours one of the owners called me to ask me what they could do for me. He said someone would be out with the next couple of days to get it taken care of. He also said he would recommend a good person to do the stain job if I would like. This is a top notch company.
We hired Archdeck based on the kudzu recommendations, and the nice presentation when they came to our home. This was not a big project; it is a simple 12'x12' deck with 4 steps and rails. They piled ground dirt from under the deck on top of my flower bed, which killed half the flowers; when they could have easily put the dirt on the other side of the deck without bothering any landscaping. They left the old deck in the yard for days before hauling it off. They would come and work for 1-2 hours and leave. They never kept any promises, and our 5-6 day project ended up being 5 weeks of headaches. The deck is OK, but I thought the finished edges looked unprofessional, and told them so, but they showed no interest in correcting that. The flowers beds had to be completely started over, with no compensation. I will never do business with them again and would never recommend them to anyone.
This company has awesome customer service and I am extremely happy with their professionalism! They are detailed, explain all the process, show up in a timely manner and stay on budget! I would refer them to anyone!! Thanks!!
I had to replace my original deck due to material failure and code violations. After requesting bids from several companies I decided to go with Archadeck, because of their competitive bid, positive reviews and their genuine interest. This caring attitude carried from the sales phase into the installation; the crew was very professional, they showed up on time, they asked for my input when options presented themselves and they cleaned up the site at the end of the day. The deck looks great and I have received compliments from neighbors and friends on the quality of the workmanship. I am very happy with my new deck and I know that I'm going to get many years of enjoyment out of it; it definitely enhanced the value of my home. I've already asked Sol for ideas to finish the area below the deck.
We are very impressed with the speed and quality of the work. The final results exceeded our expectations. The addition of our new deck will increase our enjoyment of the outdoors for years to come.
The planning and building of our deck went very well. Workman showed up on time and worked well. They cleaned up at the end of each day. The company was very responsive to any questions or extra requests.
Archadeck re-did our deck, built a new porch and fireplace. What a transformation!!! This company knows what its doing. They used the highest quality materials and the project looks like it BELONGS with the house. Archadeck was recommended by my Dad, who used them twice in 2 houses...now it was my turn. The look and quality of our project, compared to a somewhat similar project my neighbor had done last summer, is way superior!!!!! The project took about 2 weeks longer than we had hoped for but it was well worth the wait. For me these guys are head and shoulders above their competition. For what they do, how they do it and all backed by a multi-year warranty...its a great deal.
We had our deck installed by the previous franchiser and there were problems, ie our water tight deck was leaking. We turned it in to the warranty company but they turned us down for repair work under the warranty. Enter Jeff Mullins(new owner). We contracted with the new Archadeck to fix our deck($2200), they repaired the leak, fixed a couple of other things that had been done incorrectly and then went to bat for us with the warranty company and got them to pay for it. I can't recommend them enough. The difference between the workers(old Archadeck and NEW ARCHADECK) was also very evident. An owner who cares makes a huge difference. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Archadeck recently replaced a massive wrap-a-round deck or us. We replaced a wood deck with an all non wood product manufactured by Timber Tech called rustic bark and replaced our wood railings with aluminum railings. The project was very extensive and although the timeline was longer than we had hoped, the quality of the work was excellent. The deck is truly stunning and except for washing, is totally maintenance free. Archadeck did a great job and we expect the deck to outlive us by many years! Archadeck invested the necessary time up front to get this expansive deck designed correctly. Archadeck was always available to discuss the many questions that invariably come up in a remodeling project and always addressed our questions in a professional manner. Archadeck cares about customer satisfaction and they take pride in doing a high quality job. We would certainly use Archadeck again for other remodeling jobs.
