DO NOT BELEIVE A WORD THEY TELL YOU!!!RIP OFF!!!!, 9/15/2009

I called Buckhead TV and they said over the phone that it would be a $60 DEPOSIT to check out the LG 36", I get to the store to drop it off and she said that she meant that it was a $100 DEPOSIT to... look at the set. To say the least they looked at it and said the main board was bad so the IR sensor would not work, exactly what I told them to begin with. They quoted me over $600 for a $200 board and when I asked how much do I owe for looking at it they said my $100 DEPOSIT was not a DEPOSIT it was a check out fee, and she was very rude about it. I will get up to turn the sound up and down before I will ever let them touch my TV. I should have checked the reviews first because I would have never went there to begin with. I guess that I just learned a $100 lesson !!!STAY CLEAR OF THEM!!!

RIP OFF - AVOID, 6/13/2009

took tv in for relatively simple repair which took one week (probably 1-2 hours labor MAX). charged $285 and no parts were even needed! how do they justify that??? they couldn't. i asked the... owner to call me but have not heard anything. they also tried to talk me into an even more expensive repair. last issue is they said it would be $280, then charged $285 - -said the $5 was for cleaning the tv. give me a break. . .

They don't care

I was referred to them by another appliance repair company. On a recent Monday I called to report and request service on a Sony TV that was under warranty. Left a message and no one called back. I called a second time and the Customer Service Representative said yes they did warranty work for SONY. I informed the person exactly what the TV was doing. She sent a technician out a couple days later who looked at the TV for a few moments and said, more or less, yes the TV is doing what you said. It needs a certain board to be replaced. They would order it. He wanted a copy of our purchase invoice which we promptly faxed to the Buckhead TV Service. He said he would be back out in a couple of days to replace the part. No one called. Friday, I called in and received no response. The next Monday, I called in only to hear the Customer Service Representative tell me they are not authorized to do warranty work for Sony. Terrible service. They should have told me they were not authorized to work on Sony first off or called me immediately after realizing their error. Be warned. These people do not care.

Very Pleased

I saw the negative reviews on this site and decided to give some feedback on the service that I received from them today. I own a Mitsubishi DLP television that recently started showing an error message and automatically shutting down. Buckhead TV Repair was one of the authorized repair companies provided by Mitsubishi. I called them yesterday morning and explained the situation. The woman on the phone was very nice. She was aware of the issue with my television, and was up to date on the fact that Mitsubishi had extended the warranty for this issue. She informed me that the necessary part was in stock, and advised that the TV could be repaired today. The repairperson was supposed to arrive between 11am and 1pm, but he arrived an hour and a half early. He went downstairs, diagnosed the issue, and had the TV repaired in 45 minutes. Now the TV works great. Hope this helps someone looking for a TV repair service. I was very pleased with the service that I was provided.

Totally Frustrated !!!

Normally, I don't write reviews or take surveys...as in I have never in my life ! However, in this case, I am so absolutely ticked off at the customer service of this company that I cannot see straight. I won't bore you with the details, but it suffices to say that they stink !!! Apparently, I am not alone. I have read more than a dozen reviews of this company and " all " of them are negative. Not one, not some, ALL OF THEM ! If you have an expensive TV and it needs repair... If you hear the name Buckhead TV Service..RUN !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
