We love our environment and are taking steps to help keep it healthy. We now use electronic medical records and e-prescribing prescription medication. We use rechargeable batteries and recycled materials whenever possible. Finally, we have a lobby dedicated to nature complete with lots of sunshine and a koi pond.
I am actually grew up in Wichita, KS and the care there was ok when I had my 3 babies. When I moved to Georgia I found this place because it was convieniently close to my job. I was so happy that I... did the first time I stepped foot into their office. The staff there is always welcoming and genuinly care about how you feel. Every time my hubby and I go we feel like we are talking to old friends! Its a very warm welcoming environment. The quality of service from what I was use to back home is TOP NOTCH! Each time we leave our prenatal visits we always are so thankful for the quality and care they provide. Leah has ALWAYS been so awesome! She is very prompt when getting back with you with questions and she just cares! There is no rushing when you are spending your one on one time there and they answer all your questions. Even going as far as checking up on you when you least expect it! That sounds to me like small town gestures and I love it! Dr. Moore is awesome as well! Very strait forward, upfront and caring! I have only spoken with Dr. Jewell over the phone. He actually called me back with answer a question I had and he took time and really explained everything and was very warm. I can honestly say that Haven Ob/Gyn is a place where you feel like a person that is being cared for with YOUR best interest at hand. I have never felt rushed or any negative vibes from anyone there! I am so thankful that I found this place and will continue to shout praises!!VIEW MORE »VIEW LESS »
I have three children- the later two were delivered by doctors at this practice. I have experience with Dr. Jewell, who delivered my second, Dr. Moore, who delivered my third, and Leah, who is my... regular go-to for most checkups. I found that they all are extremely professional and very skilled. I enjoy that the practice is very small and that you really get a chance to know everyone. In addition, Leah is a standout professional - friendly demeanor, up to date on various medical issues including the latest screenings, and truly concerned with your well-being (as opposed to simply going through a checklist of issues in a rote fashion). Finally, the office is very modern technologically - ultrasounds, bloodwork all done in-house, and they use a great online portal to keep track of appointments and test results.VIEW MORE »VIEW LESS »
Dr. Moore fully supported my decision to deliver without intervention. After being "warned" by a doula that births at Northside have a high C-section rate I was apprehensive. However, the delivery room nurses knew my desires and coached me through it. A wonderful experience all around, from ultrasounds to the delivery.
I am a physician with a gynecologic problem that is embarassing and not very common. I called around to gynecology offices to try to find a doctor who might be willing to help me. After many failed attempts, I finally found Dr. Moore's name on Kudzu. Dr. Moore listened to my problem, and right away he said he was willing to try to help me; he just needed to do some initial research. I want to thank Dr. Moore for his time, interest, and professionalism. The office is also convenient from 285, there is free parking, and his staff is nice and helpful. I have since been referring my own patients to him who ask for a gyne/ OB referral.
Dr. Moore goes above and beyond expectation with each pregnancy. He is the most thorough OB/GYN that I've ever seen. I had a pre-existing condition which led to potential complications during my pregnancies and Dr. Moore has always treated me as his important patient, not yet another pregnant woman. He has addressed every concern in a timely manner, including return calls for simple questions pertaining to my symptoms. When I moved 35 miles away I switched doctors to the most sought after practice in my new area, and I practically came running back. I recommend him to anyone looking for a personal experience.
If you are comfortable with your work, there was no need for that response. In the future, you should encourage your patients to bring a tape recorder so that you would never have to deal with a situation like this again. 2.10.10 Wow!!! You have never suggested, recommended, nor found a specialist or any doctor who could have possibly treated endo. People please get a 2nd opinion about your endo. There are specialists right here in Atlanta to provide you with better solutions.
This patient had surgery for a difficult condition that was only discovered during surgery. She is still having pain and I think will require drastic treatment that she is not ready for. Unfortunately she has chosen me to blame instead of the underlying condition. As I have explained to her during multiple conversations and emails, we don't always have easy solutions in medicine. Usually I spend time trying to find a specialist to help with the solution or provide some comfort if there is no solution. In this case I found myself under attack from the person I was trying to help. She posted a nasty review about me and I responded in kind with an angry response. I have since rescinded this response in the name of professionalism. I wish "Frustrated" well in the future and hope she gets satisfactory treatment with her new doctor.
My first visit with Dr.Moore was good and his staff is ok. The first visit he went on a hunch and did an ultrasound. He found that I had a fibroid that needed to be removed before trying to conceive. I had the surgery and it went well. I got pregnant a month later but ended up having a miscarriage. He performed my D&C and that went well ok. I also recommended my mom to him for her hysterectomy and fibroid removal. Dr. Moore does not sugar coat your condition. He gives you all of the important information and explains everything that you need to know. After my mothers surgery, she felt as though he should have called her to check on her so I don't think he is the Doctor for her. I explained to her if there isn't a problem then he will see you in two weeks. It's not that I don't understand what she is feeling but you have to pick a doctor that you feel comfortable with. Some people like for the Doctor to chat, laugh or give them extra attention. Dr. Moore if you get a chance please give her a call to talk to her briefly about her surgery. I can tell she is feeling very uneasy. Doctor Moore has been great!! I commend him for balancing his personal and professional life.
I used to make a point of talking with all my patients after surgery in the recovery room. I soon realized that the medicines used for anesthesia make you forget and these lengthy conversations were rarely remembered. Now I have a lengthy conversation with the family and tell them to have the patient call me if they have any questions. I am sad to see that someone is uneasy I didn't call them. I wish she had called me to voice her concerns. I do have a long conversation and rehash the surgery at the postoperative visit (2 weeks after surgery) with everyone.
I have seen all practitioners here through my last 2 complicated pregnancies. Doctors Moore and Jewell are both compassionate, invested, and walk you through the decision making process so that you feel part of the team. I cannot say enough good things about Leah, too. For my last pregnancy, I saw mostly Dr. Jewell and Leah every week, and can say that if it wasn't for the fact that I am older and at my limit with 3 little boys, I would just have babies to come in and see them! This practice is amazing. The Doctors and Leah exemplify what it means to be committed to the care of the "whole" person. I felt important, safe, and thankful that I had two healthy boys in otherwise scary and complicated situations.
I cannot begin to express how wonderful my experience has been with this one of a kind doctor. I have recently moved to Atlanta from California (November 2006) and have had a difficult time finding doctors in Georgia. From my short but terrifying experience I have realized that most doctors in Georgia want to overcharge and give less service. Dr Moore is quite the opposite and has been fantastic and made me feel very comfortable on each and every visit and every call I have made, has been returned promptly and directly from Dr Moore. After losing my health insurance at the beginning of my pregnancy I was introduced to his private plan for patients which is more than affordable and less than I would pay for any personal health plan. I cannot brag enough about this doctor and would gladly recommend him to any and everybody!!
This is my first pregnancy and I am very pleased with Dr. Moore and his office. Everyone is friendly and I feel confident that Dr. Moore does what is best for my baby and me. He is patient with any questions and concerns I have. I highly recommend him.
We are going to Dr. Moore for our first pregnancy (currently ~30 weeks). As a pharmacist I have a good enough understanding of medicine to be an annoying patient with lots of questions. He has always taken time to answer both mine and my wife's questions. His staff has also been very nice and accommodating as well. He provides 4D ultrasounds (moving 3D image) and he can record it on a DVD for you. This is great to send to family that is out of town. Overall, he is a smart, patient, and respectable doctor. Tip: Morning appointments get you in and out fast.
Iím so glad I trusted my care and delivery to Dr. Moore and his staff. I found his practice online and went to him because he was close to my job. I was pleasantly surprised at how comfortable I was in his office. His staff has always been kind and accommodating. They are friendly and seem to love their jobs. The office wait times were always reasonable and I never sat in the exam room undressed and waiting for very long. Even if the wait was longer itís worth it. His practice was the complete opposite of my previous OB/GYN on the east side of town where I live. They had 5 doctors in the practice and the wait time was always over an hour just to get into an exam roomÖ. I rather drive 40 minutes to receive the kind of care Iíve received with Dr. Moore. Dr. Moore is always open to any questions. When I asked for it, he gave me good advice about everything from my gestational diabetes to information on handling my maternity leave at work. In the hospital he was a welcome face in a sea of strangers, was friendly with my family, filled out my last minute paperwork on the spot and had a great sense of humor when my baby boy peed on him as he was born! I referred a friend to Dr. Moore recently and she has become a patient and has enjoyed her experience as well. Doctor Moore, you and your crew are AWESOME, donít let anyone tell you different! ~ Kimberly R.
We discovered Dr. Moore on Kudzu when we first became pregnant. Dr. Moore has delivered all of our children. He is a fabulous OBGYN, very personable, and one we will certainly continue to use. The wait time in office leaves something to be desired, but we wouldn't entrust another childbirth to anyone else. Oh - and did I mention the 4D ultrasound photos? Dr. Moore has great technology that is fun, free, and fascinating.
Let me say I totally agree with the long wait times. I hate waiting at the doctor's office myself. I have found that in the baby business there are frequent minor emergencies (bleeding, threatened miscarriage, preterm labor) and even big emergencies (like a baby on the way or fetal distress) that have to take priority over scheduled appointments. To remedy this situation I have hired a new doctor who is coming in October 2009. She is great and will be a welcome addition to my practice. More about Dr. Stacy Boulton in the weeks to come.
I am so pleased with the way my experience turned out with Dr. Moore's practice. My son was delivered on 9/12 and although Dr. Moore was not available to deliver him, the on call doctor, Dr. Anderson was wonderful. The care that Dr. Moore provided up until delivery was phenominal. My husband and I are both grateful to Dr. Moore for assisting us with making this a great experience. Our son Picard is a joy and the care we received during pregnancy enabled us have very few worries. Thanks Dr. Moore!
I could not endorse Dr. Moore more than I do. He is a wonderful, fun, informed, conscientious, exceptional doctor. He is very capable as an M.D., but he is also a parent and a human being. I have always felt at ease with him at the helm. The women I have recommended, high risk or not, could not agree more. His practice is still small and his staff is friendly. You can't go wrong, when you meet him, you will know. Godspeed.
Thanks Rebekah. It really means a lot for people to take the time to leave these reviews. I hope you and your family are doing well. -dr moore
Dr. Moore is very professional, nice friendly staff, clean office. After a wonderful experience with the delivery of my first child by Dr. Moore I was thrilled to be able to return to him for the delivery of my son 3 years later. I would definately refer friends to him.
I am a new patient of Dr. Moore's, and after just one appointment, I am thrilled with his office! I switched after having some issues with a larger practice, and I cannot begin to emphasize the difference in going with Dr. Moore. He is personable, knowledgeable, friendly, and professional. Being a smaller office, I am very pleased with the personal attention and EASE OF APPOINTMENT-MAKING! (Big difference from my last OBGYN's office.) Also, Dr. Moore does his own ultrasounds in the office, so you don't have to jump through hoops to find a time on a particular day of the week when a tech will be available--and a time that about 50 other pregnant women are competing for! Another plus: PARKING IS FREE! Dr. Moore's office isn't exactly the closest or most convenient for me to get to, but I don't mind because it is worth the drive!
I was looking for a new doctor that was near my house and that delivered at Northside Hospital and that I would be comfortable enough with to deliver my future children. (My husband and I are planning on starting a family soon) I found Dr. Moore on Kudzu and I was thrilled with his rating and all the good things that his patients had to say about him so I decided to make an appt. and meet him for myself. Dr. Moore met and exceeded all of my expectations for a doctor! He was very kind, answered all of my questions, and addressed any concerns that I had. I also liked the fact that he is young and up to date on the latest medicine/practices. I am very glad that I found him and I am definitely going to keep him as my OB when I become pregnant. I DEFINITELY recommend him to anyone in search of a new doctor! You will not be disappointed!
