Our home was broken in to today. Even with 2 yard signs and stickers on all exterior doors they still used a crow bar to break in. They came in from the garage door going to our back yard. They did... not get access into our house thank goodness. Our alam system saved us and our puppy from a horrible day. EMC security was quick to respond. Police were dispatched and a police report done. Thank you EMC Secuirty for your awesome service. We have had our system for 10 years now. I have upgraded to the wireless and video system that is being installed next week. So glad we invested in a security system many years ago!VIEW MORE »VIEW LESS »
The operations manager escalated my service call from Thursday to yesterday and technician Wes arrived as scheduled. He changed out the motion detector and also made some adjustments to help deter false alarms while not lessening the efficiency of the detector.
I'm not sure. I upgraded to wireless system in January. It cost $200. In March, the system showed a trouble status contacted EMC and was told they've had trouble communicated with my system since January. (Thanks for letting me know two months later). EMC replaced the unit and it was fine until July. The tech told me the board was fried in June due to a storm (So another month the system did not work). The board was never compatible with the wireless unit. He would need to replace the board and 3 keypads for $400. He put the system offline, but didn't offer to suspend my monthly service until it was fixed. Bottom line, I've spent $200 and they want another $400. I've $23.95 for three months the system didn't work and I will continue to pay it although the system is offline.

Have a wireless system. EMC calls us about every 90 days to test. Always works perfectly, thank God! In March, a grass fire got under the siding at the base of our chimney and ran into our attic while we were at work. EMC dispatched FD and called my wife. Both were there in 5 minutes. All animals out and house damaged but standing. Thanks EMC and GCFD! Glad we ditched Protection One. They would have probably just left us a voice mail and not dispatched FD. Like they did when our burglar alarm went off a few years back.
The technician was professional and did a very thorough job. Response time from alert center has been quick and friendly. Not my usual experience with service companies to my home. I highly recommend EMC Security for residential service.
EMC Security is very slow at responding when the alarm goes off. I have accidentally set off my alarm a few times and each time it has taken them almost two minutes to call me. If it were a real accident, anything could have happened by the time they finally decided to call. I have been a customer for over a year now, but I will be switching to a different monitoring service next month. It makes no sense having a security monitoring service that isn't prompt on emergency alarms.
JJackson, We are very concerned to hear that you are receiving anything less than immediate, professional response to any alarms from the EMC Security monitoring center. I, along with my central station management team, closely monitor customer alarm response times. EMC Security consistently outperforms published local and national alarm industry averages in every response category. Our average response times for the month of April-May was 11 (eleven) seconds. Clearly, this was not your experience, so I am concerned that there may be equipment issues or other factors that may be delaying your system reporting times to our central station. If you will contact me or my operations manager, James Collins, we will have someone thoroughly inspect your system, at no cost to you, and determine the problem and a solution. As you know, EMC Security customers are not required to sign a contract, so we must consistently perform to your satisfaction, or risk losing your business. I would certainly appreciate an opportunity to review your alarm response records and inspect your system. I find the overall service of my security system very good...I don't really like the customer service you get when calling...I feel as though they did not try to accommodate me on two occasions...They can do better I would hope

My husband and I moved to GA from SC. We had a different security service in SC. We were so happy to find EMC. The rep. was professional, thorough and efficient in installing the system and explaining how to maximize efficiency and protection. The rates are lower than SC. A wonderful service.
Sam came out today and isolated the AT&T phone issue that was interferring with the security system and corrected it. He and every Jackson employee I've delt with have been excellent!

We've had EMC as our security provider since we moved to Atlanta. We've never had a price increase in all that time. When we moved this summer, I expected that the price might go up, but not only did they keep the same price, they gave me a free month for my loyalty. They make service calls at no charge and are very responsive. I wish every service provider was like EMC!
