We love our environment and are taking steps to help keep it healthy. We now use electronic medical records and e-prescribing prescription medication. We use rechargeable batteries and recycled materials whenever possible. Finally, we have a lobby dedicated to nature complete with lots of sunshine and a koi pond.
This is my second child and am so glad I found Haven OB/GYN. I just love this practice. Dr Jewell really makes you feel like you're his only patient with his level of care and professionalism. I... never have to wait long to see him and the nurses, phlebotomists and reception staff are all top notch. Compared to my first pregnancy (interstate), the care here is unrivalled. We are sure when the time comes to deliver, we'll be in great hands. Thank you Haven OB/GYN!!VIEW MORE »VIEW LESS »
This entire situation is ridiculous. I understand that nothing is free. I didnt and dont ask for any hand me downs. I work in an ob/gyn facility and I was informed that treatment should not be denied... if im in a payment plan with haven ob/gyn. I was planning on paying "my full balance" earlier than expected around income tax time. Im a very dependable, sweet, and reliable patient but was treated like I was a criminal . And no...ur office was clear as to the ESTIMATED OUT OF POCKET EXPENSE. it was not fair on me so I COULD MAKE THE DECISION to if I could afford the surgery or not. I called my insuarance co prior to surgery and verfied and im paying northside hospital and anesthesiolgy bill to but they told me prior to. I had 6 fibroid tumors removed this summer. If I knew then what I knw now..I would have left those fibroid tumors in place until I got the money together rather than owe a bill and be refused to see the doctor for a small minor visit. But its ok...I knw better ob/gyn offices who will see me and not discrimimate. Im still going to pay you my money according to my financially agreement monthly. I dont think nothing is free. I work very hard to pay all my bills. I just can't believe I was refused treatment. Thanks Monica: for denying a paying patient who has never been late in paying the bill, always paying my co-pays when visiting the doctot, and ALWAYS made it to my doctors visits on time there at haven ob/gyn. U just lost one of the best patients..VIEW MORE »VIEW LESS »
Dr.Moore and Leah Pombo are beyond incredible. I fully trust my medical care to Haven Ob/Gyn. After a not so smooth delivery with another Doctor, I was luckily enough to find Dr. Moore who delivered my second baby. He made both my husband and I feel 100% comfortable despite being high risk. Leah Pombo is an amazing Nurse Practitioner. She is caring, genuine, and so intelligent. Haven is truly a remarkable office.
It's so difficult to find a great physician who also has a great office staff. They are so responsive and pleasant. Dr. Moore is a great doctor who takes the time to listen to you and addresses all your concerns.
I came to write a review and was surprised to find someone else with a similar experience about this practice being liars. This docs websight says 24hr emergency availability but when I call him, I get some ladies who send me to the emergency room and I am seen by some other doctors.his sight also says that he performs at least 3 ultrasounds for no additional charge but I have got billed for the ultrasounds hes done.I just have been very unhappy with the experience and I am thinking about going to another doctor.
First let me say I take these negative reviews very seriously. I work hard to make each of my patients happy. I do like some negative reviews so that other people can see what makes others unhappy about my practice. In the previous negative review (11/19), the person was unhappy since I no longer take Medicaid. She never came in my office or met me, so her experience was very different from this reviewer. Let me address her criticisms as best I can. I or someone in my call group is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. I have a wife and 6 month old twins, so I have teamed with four other doctors to form a call group. We rotate call on weekends and holidays so that I have time off and time with my family. Would you really want to go to a doctor that worked 24 hours a day, 365 days a year? And the 'lady' who sent her to the ER was a board-certified ob/gyn physician. If you call with an emergency after hours or weekends, the usual choices are to wait until the next business day or go to the ER. Finally, I only bill for the ultrasounds what your insurance plan allows. If they consider the ultrasound unnecessary or do not pay, you are not billed. If they say you owe coinsurance or a copay (which are rare for ultrasounds), you are billed that amount. You also are responsible for a deductible if your plan has one. This is your insurance plan and I only bill what they tell me you owe. I write off thousands of dollars of ultrasounds a month and never bill for the 3-D/4-D portion (you actually can't bill for this). I am sorry for your experiences but do not plan to change either of these policies. My time with my family is valuable to me- if you can find a doctor in solo practice who takes their own call 24 hours a day and performs multiple 4-D ultrasounds for free, I suggest you change to that practice. -dr moore
I am thrilled there is a site to review Dr. Moore. We were fortunate enough to be referred to him as he was beginning his practice here in Atlanta. From our very first visit, my husband and I really liked him. He is a kind, considerate doctor who still marvels at the miracle of pregnancy and birth. He seemed just as excited to watch our daughter during the ultrasounds as we were :) We encountered a complication in our first pregnancy and he was so proactive in caring for us. Our daughter was born early but healthy and delivered by Dr. Moore(even though it was his day off). He has since delivered our second daughter too. I refer every friend I have to him. For me, there is no other option. He is the best. No matter where we move, we have found a doctor that we will never leave. You truly won't find a better doctor! Thanks for all you do, Dr. Moore :)
After doing hours of research to decide on a doctor for my first pregnancy, I called Dr. Moore's office to see if they were taking new patients. The person who answered said yes. I was extremely happy and went to schedule an appointment but when they found out I was on Medicaid the persons attitude completely changed. She quickly said actually we aren't taking new patients and hung up on me. Every website from his official website to this Kudzu website clearly states they take Medicaid for pregnant women! Not only are they liars but they false advertise!! Obviously not a reputable doctor!
Due to decreased reimbursements and poor customer service from Medicaid, I have stopped taking new Medicaid patients. I am continuing to provide excellent care for my current patients with Medicaid. I have updated my website to reflect this but forgot one smaller advertising website that rarely gets traffic (www.calladoctor.net). I apologize for this misunderstanding and have asked to have it corrected. Never, ever have my receptionists hung up on a customer. If you read my reviews, you will see that my staff is second-to-none and provide excellent customer service. -dr moore
i went to dr moore after having a horrible experience with another doctor..this is my first pregnancy so i am very picky and wont settle for anything but the best..after looking at all the stellar reviews on kudzu i decided to give dr moore a try and he is exactly what im looking for...i didnt have to wait at all, the nurses are incredible. dr moore told us all about himself..was sensitive.. caring..just a great great doc..I HIGHLY RECOMMEND HIM U WILL NOT BE DISAPOINTED..oh and it doesnt hurt that he specializes in 3d/4d ultrasounds and loves doing them...
I was referred to Dr. Moore by my OBGYN when I was diagnosed with extra large uterine fibroids. As an OR Nurse, I was terrified (I think because I know too much), but from first meeting to first post-op visit, Dr. Moore was wonderful every step of the way! My incision is amazingly minimal and my friends and family cannot believe the meticulousness that he provided. If you are in search of a first rate surgeon, look no further!
As my wife and I are expecting our first child we were relieved to find a practitioner that we are comfortable with. Dr. Moore is the doctor. He sat us down, covered what to expect and answered all of our questions. We look forward to the birth of our child and feel confident that Dr. Moore will do all that can be done for us.
I've seen several OBs in atlanta but, Dr.Moore is the BEST!!! He knew exactly what my problems where and he did everything to make it right. I recommend him to any and everyone. He's very passionate with his work and knows his stuff!! Thanks for such a job well done!! Oops, let me not forget his staff!! Very professional and nice!!
Dr. Moore is so wonderful. On your first visit you will actually sit in his office and just talk over a few things about yourself. So you aren't just put in an exam room and the first time you meet him you are in a gown and paty and braless. He actually meets you and talks over a lot of stuff w/ you. He is wonderful and very easy going. This is the first male ob-gyn that I have ever been to and I really enjoy his practice. Thank you Dr. Moore!
I moved from another state and I needed a new Gyn. So I looked up Dr. Moore and I have had many Drs before, and all females. I was very anxious about seeing a male Dr, but Dr. Moore was very understanding and we sat down before I was even examined in his office and just chatted about my past and if I was having any issues. He made me feel very comfortable and relaxed. I have recommended him to all of my friends.
This was my first visit. I was looking for a new doctor because I was not satisfied with my previous Doctor who I've been going to for the last two years. I read through the reviews on Kudzu so I decided to give Dr. Moore a try. I was looking for a Doctor who could get to know me a little. I'm at the age where I will be having a baby in a couple a years and I want to have a doctor who I can trust. The experience was great. I saw Dr. Moore in his office before the dreaded exam room so it was more comfortable to talk about issues and concerns. He speaks with you and makes you comfortable. The entire staff was friendly and helpful. The waiting room is very cozy. I will recommend this practice to everyone I know.
The obgyn I had gone to for years suddenly moved, so when I found out I was pregnant I called my sister-in-law to get her Dr's info. From the moment I stepped into Dr Moore's office, I have felt secure and confident in the attention I have received. When I went in for my 6th month check up, Dr Moore determined that I had signs of preeclampsia and sent me to Northside immediately. His knowledge and understanding of this condition, I believe, saved my baby's life. He is a fantastic physician and never makes you feel or treats you like just a patient. His staff is friendly and helpful and the overall atmosphere is warm and welcoming.
I was referred to Dr. Moore by my sister, he delivered my nephew in 2005. I could not have been more pleased with my recent pregnancy/childbirth experience at this office. Dr. Moore took on my interesting situation, I live in Mexico but wanted to have the baby in Atlanta, without hesitation and was very reassuring through my pregnancy. He communicated with me long distance in Mexico with all my questions and concerns. I only saw Dr. Moore a few times before the birth of my daughter, but each time he was personable and knowledgeable. I recommend Dr. Moore and will see him again with my next pregnancy. Thanks again Dr. Moore for all you did for us! Chantel, Neil & Abby
I have been a patient of Doctor Moore’s for about five years now and I must say that he is the best of the best! I strongly reccomend this practice to all women who are looing for a great OBGYN. I can honestly say from experience that Dr. Moore is exceptional in all aspects of OBGYN care. Dr. Moore has assisted me through many traditional problems and the prenatal care and delivery of 8lb 7oz son in 2004. I couldn’t imagine having a different doctor. His bedside manner is exceptional and I feel that he genuinely cares about his patients. When I have questions or concerns, of which I have many, I can be rest assured that Dr. Moore will really listen to what I have to say and then take the time to address each issue thoroughly. His practice makes it easy to get information by providing the ability to contact Dr. Moore and his staff by email, office visits, and by phone. The nurses and staff are all extremely polite and helpful making each visit a pleasant experience. Dr. Moore has the latest and greatest technology providing lots of pictures using 3D and 4D ultrasounds of your little ones when you’re expecting. These tools also put your mind at ease when dealing with other problems, letting you see what’s going on. In a nutshell, this practice goes above and beyond in personal care and technology making them the best of the best.
I moved to Atlanta when I was 32 weeks pregnant with my first child and chose Dr. Moore as my doctor after reading about him online. I was extremely pleased by my choice after meeting him. His bedside manner is exceptional and he genuinely cares about his patients. After failing to go into labor within 12 hours of my water breaking, he delivered my first child via c-section. Two years later, he discovered that I had miscarried during an ultrasound and he immediately scheduled me for a D&C. His gentle manner during that difficult time was comforting. After getting pregnant with twins - naturally - he performed ultrasounds every visit to ease all of our minds. They were delivered via c-section at 37 weeks. I truly like Dr. Moore as a person and feel so blessed that he is my doctor. His professional manner is wonderful, but his genuine interest in his patients is what makes him a remarkable doctor.
