KTM put on a new roof for our house last week. Being a data person I vetted 16 top-rated roofers on Kudzu - I felt my due diligence truly paid off. KTM costs the least (30% less than the most... costly), offers 12-yr labor warranty (compared to the mainstream 10-yr), uses crews that have been with the company for long time and doesn't ask for any upfront payment. Aside from the cut-n-dry numbers, Kevin took the time to inspect my roof and explained that repair (rather than replacement) is also an option; Tim (the owner) was easily accessible (and laid back) patiently explained to me why one should never pay any home repair job upfront. The project went smoothly (and cleanly) as planed with the hand-working crew and project manager on-site. Highly recommended!VIEW MORE »VIEW LESS »
We met with several different companies when trying to decide on a roofing contractor to use for our roof replacement. Kevin was very thorough and detail-oriented. After speaking with him, we felt... comfortable about going forward. We were very pleased with the work that was done as well as the work ethic and professionalism of the crew. Since we have young children, we were a little nervous about the clean up, but they did a great job with this as well.VIEW MORE »VIEW LESS »
Very professional from start to finish, response to questions was timely and all concerns were addressed. I would highly recommend KTM for all your roofing needs from shingles, repairs, gutters, and downspouts. This was like dealing with family.
KTM gave us a competitive estimate and very informative presentation, as well as advice on how best to ventilate our roof. The salesperson also took pictures while on our roof to point out issues with our new gutters so that we could get them fixed. They took care not to damage the gutters during installation and did a great job with cleanup - minimal nails found, etc. They were a reputable company found on the BBB site, so I was very comfortable using them and due to the service, would recommend them to anyone in the market for a new roof.

When they install a roof, you can expect to last at least as long as the guarantee. This is because they take no short cuts and pay careful attention to the flashing, attic ventilation , etc. They stand behind their product. They installed on schedule & cleaned up thoroughly.
After interviewing 5 different roofers we settled on KTM. Richard (our contact) was professional in all dealings, selection and installation. The crew was great, installed roof to MY specs, did not rush through the job and CLEANED UP everything. Being that roofers are not LICENSED in GA. it was important to find someone that could be TRUSTED. KTM is and organization that can be Trusted and did not require payment until the job was completed to my satisfaction. I recommend them whole heartedly without reservation. They can also use me as a personal reference for future jobs and have my number if someone wants to contact me directly.
Thank you KTM Roofing for providing another fantastic job on the install of my second roof. Without fail, your crew showed up on time, worked very hard all day and cleaned up all the debris. I am a dedicated customer for life! You guys ROCK.....

Absolutely would NOT use or recommend KTM. KTM gave me an estimate of $975 for a roof leak. After getting another other estimates from Dr. Roof, it turned out NOT to be a leak at all. KTM told me I had a very big problem. Dr. Roof took pictures and said that my roof was fine. It turned out to be a dirty spider web that looked like a water mark on my ceiling. I know I must be a poor housekeeper, but at least I am not a scam artist! If you want an honest roofer, choose Dr. Roof!
We at KTM Roofing are unsure of the motive of this review. It is extremely derogatory towards us. KTM Roofing quoted to resolve problems found by thorough inspection of the roof and attic. These issues were explained to the homeowner in detail. The homeowner contacted KTM Roofing Inc. requesting a repair quote for a leak. A KTM Consultant, with 30 years experience, was scheduled for the appointment. Our Consultant arrived on time. The consultant and a gentleman, who the homeowner identified as her brother entered the attic and identified a piece of plywood with a stain and mold on it. The homeowner also requested our consultant to look at a chimney. Our consultant noted the shingles were caulked directly to the chimney, which is incorrect and will cause problems. Our consultant quoted a repair to a valley above the stain in the attic to resolve this issue and to correct the problem at the chimney. Repairs were not based on a spider web on the homeowners ceiling as she has suggested.
I had a roof leak. Richard came over and identified that the leak was either caused by the gutter to stucco attachement or by shingle flashing. He quoted two prices, one with and without warranty. In either case he would seal the gutter to stucco interface. I took the one with warranty ($200 higher). After the job was finished the roof still leaked. They told me that the leak was caused by the gutter to stucco attachment and that they don't do stucco, and their warranty only applies to the new shingles they installed.

The repair that we made to your roof is not leaking. When our consultant first met with you, it was explained that there are two, separate, underlying issues that are causing the leak; the roof and the hole in your stucco wall. We explained to you that we could fix your roof problem and that your warranty would cover any work made to the roof. We also let you know at that time, that you would still need to have another company fix the hole in your stucco wall as well, to ensure the leak would stop.
We repaired your roof, and we are honoring our warranty. Your warranty applies to any repairs we made to your roof; it does not cover existing problems in your stucco wall. When you called, we explained that the leak is still occurring because you haven’t had someone repair the hole in your stucco wall yet. If your leak is still occurring after you repair the hole in your stucco, we would be more than happy to come reinvestigate your leak.
My husband is always traveling and our home recently had a rook leak. I contacted this vendor and the had roof patched the next day. Everyone was very courteous and professional. We will keep them in mind for any future roofing jobs!
Called KTM roofer after reviewing Kudzu and calling other roofing companies off of Kudzu. Richard came out to inspect the roof and gave us a great quote along with answering all of our questions. Scheduled the fix within 5 days and it looks great. Will use them again for future roofs!
We are very pleased with our new gutters with gutter glove pro installed by KTM Roofing. The KTM representative, Richard, listened to us carefully and answered all our questions. The crew was courteous, punctual, and professional. They completed the work in a timely fashion and cleaned up well afterwards. We recommend KTM Roofing and would use them again.
We had our roof replaced 3 years ago after it received significant hail damage. After careful review of local roofers, we chose KTM. Kevin the salesman was friendly, knowledgeable and very helpful. After the roof was on, I climbed up a ladder to inspect it. I was very satisfied with their work. After nearly 3 years, 1 shingle by the edge of the roof had begun to pull away, and a wind storm blew off one of the furnace caps KTM had installed. I called KTM. The owner, Tim McLoughlin, returned my call promptly and sent out a crew to fix both items. The fact that they were so responsive and backed their work nearly 3 years later is a testament to a company focused on great customer service. I highly recommend them! Check out more review for them under KTM Roofing Company Inc. in Atlanta. That is their North side office.

We had our roof replaced under an insurance claim about a year ago. We interviewed a number of companies and chose KTM to do the work. They were professional and got the job done quickly. What impressed us most was the after installation service. We recently put our house up for sale and the inspector noted something on the roof. I contacted KTM and the next day they came out to remedy the problem at no cost. That is great customer service and what every company should strive for.
Had a leak over my laundry room. Came out same day to repair leak. Very knowledgeable and professional. Gave me a good price for my repair. Have not had any more leaking.
They came out promptly the same day I called. The wind had blown off six small shingles off of a ridge over my garage. They were very nice and went on the roof to check it. They found three of the old shingles and had to use three from their truck. Then he quoted me $325 for the repair. Since it was likely going to rain the next day, I felt like they had me over a barrel, so I agreed. I just think for one guy to get on the roof for 20 minutes and charge that much is a real ripoff. So I wrote this review. A few days later, the owner of KTM, Tim McLoughlin, called me concerned about my problem. He said he thought the price was a little high even though roofing has a lot of insurance expense. I told him it was okay and it was enough to know he was concerned enough to call me, but he insisted on sending me a $100 refund. He didn't have to do that, so I rate them as a good company. I will call them again when I need them.

It was time for a new roof so I decided to investigate the product manufactured by the Tapco Group. Their Inspire Synthetic Slate line was interesting so I contacted the Tapco rep here in Atlanta as to the availability and to obtain a list of companies that installed it. The Inspire line is a composite roof material made to look like slate but is a lot lighter than real slate. The rep gave me the names of two companies in the Atlanta area that had experience with the product and had a good reputation for quality installations. KTM was one of the companies he recommended. When the KTM rep showed up he was extremely familiar with the Inspire shingle and said his crews were qualified to put the roof down. We ended up agreeing on the composite shingle, ridge vents, an ice & rain underlay, three new (replacement) Velux skylights and a standing seam metal roof on one portion of our garage that has a low sloped roof. I was pleased with the price, workmanship and the crew. The crew chief, Edwin, was an indispensable part of the team. He kept me advised of the work being done during each phase. I was impressed with the work done last summer (2011) and have not had the first hint of a problem. I’m just sorry I didn’t find out that KTM also installed gutters and gutter covers until the KTM rep arrived and I had already had had that work done. I now have a 50-year roof with 50-year flashing. I will not hesitate to recommend KTM to neighbors.
Hands down the best contractor I've ever dealt with. Very comprehensive demonstration and estimate given on the spot. They took their time with me through every step and even was present when the insurance estimator came to the house. Work was completed on a 3500 sq ft house in 1 1/2 days and in between rain showers. One word: AMAZING! And honestly, I do not ever go to the trouble of writing these but the general public must know. Great company, great sales reps, and the best workmen, I've seen/dealt with. KUDOS!

There are quite a few home improvement projects we tend to overlook until we are presented with a challenge. A roof repair or replacement may be at the top of that overlooked list as we are reminded of the old adage, “out of sight, out of mind.” We may also neglect certain large-scale projects because of their longevity, thinking our roof will last forever. In either instance, “an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.” Stopping minor problems in their tracks may add some years to your roof. Here are some things to look for before determining if shingles replacement or a new roof is in your future. Start looking inside for roofing clues. Walk around the interior of your home, room by room. Do you see leaks or water stains... READ MORE »
