We recently switched our security system from ADT. JW came out to assess our current system to ensure the switch was possible, which was a success. We had great customer services and most importantly it was affordable. A Great security system for my family. We could not have made a better decision.

I recently bought a new security system through JW Bampton(security consultant). I was very impressed by both his knowledge and demeanor. He not only took the time and patience to answer all my questions, he also educated me on the benefits of being monitored and the different options. I especially love the total connect service as I can actually control my alarm through my cell phone wherever I am. There have been a lot of recent burglaries in my neighborhood which made us nervous knowing we did not have a home security system. Thanks to JW and Ackerman Security, my family and I can sleep again at night...
I had a great education week with these folks... It takes the police 50 minutes to show up,,, but they aren't responsible for this....they sell a police response time but that's not true.
I understand your frustration in this isolated case. Ackerman dispatches within 45 seconds of receiving a signal and notifies the emergency contact names provided to render assistance in the event of a burglary, fire or emergency. We can not control the response time of these agencies. Insurance companies give discounts for installing monitored security systems as their statics indicate losses are greatly reduces with security systems in place. Sheriff and police chief also recommend the installation of monitored security systems. While we have no information on any mitigating circumstances that would have caused the delay you referred to it is highly unusual. In fact on many occasions because of our speedy dispatching burglars are caught. It would be advisable to continue to use the security system and we believe this unusual circumstances will not repeat itself.
Our experience with Ackerman has been great - we are highly satisfied with both the system itself as well as the service. We got the new Lynx 7000 that combines standard perimeter sensors and motion detectors, even the video feed. Once we installed a wireless extender in the house, our connection has been great. Per customer service, we've been with them several months and I have not only talked to the responder team, but I've also been able to come back to my point-of-contact Sales Lead, Mr. Camacho, for multiple conversations and follow-up. Couldn't ask for a better customer relationship. AND we use the system constantly! So...I'm giving them a perfect score for our experience with them!
I had a rep out today to go over what system I had currently installed in home (equipment wise) and what I would need upgraded or installed if I went with Ackerman security. First of all the Rep James George was EXTREMELY help and informative and made sure to answer every and any question I had. He did a walk through of my home and gave me the jist of everything already installed and what specific functions they had. Thankfully, the previous tenant in my home had the security system installed (all updated) and left it when they moved, so it was a matter of me activating. I wasn't hesitant about the contract because I figured that I would always need security where ever I moved to. We did all my paperwork, set up expectations and I am working on a set date for them to come out (Saturdays are there busiest days). Over all it was a great experience and If you guys are looking for someone to walk you through this James is the guy to do it!!
First - You will enter a contract with them, and it will be three years (unless you have equipment or intend to pay full price for the equipment). What was amazing was that they handed me a flyer explaining how signing contracts with security companies was a bad idea, then they showed me a price for equipment and install, THEN they told me that price required a three-year contract. It felt very "bait/switch." Second - It took three visits by their tech to get the ALARM system set up correctly. Each time I would call them back out to fix what they screwed up in the first place, they threatened to charge me a $80 visit charge. Each time they corrected a mess they made in the first place and they even accused me of "tampering" with the system to my wife. I've never touched any element of the alarm system. Third - I have "tampered" with the video system, in fact, I have had to set that up completely myself because the installer literally did nothing. They sold me equipment I didn't need (WAPs, which you probably don't need if you have a relatively current wifi router with WPS) which degraded the performance of the system. They didn't know how to set up video alerts, they didn't know how to set up recorded events (basically, the system was useless). I spent a day learning on the manufacturers website and now have it working properly. Buyer beware, they do not live up to the hype of their ads.
My original post was deleted, but for the record DO NOT USE ACKERMAN SECURITY UNLESS YOU WANT POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. We used them for over 4 long years and was constantly let down by customer service team. They said in response that they were "investigating my call/claim", and that all calls are answered in less than a minute---yes my call was answered in less than a minute, AND ONCE THE CUSTOMER SERVICE TEAM REALIZED I WAS NOT TRANSFERRING (BC I WAS MOVING OUT OF STATE AND COULD NOT TRANSFER SERVICES) I WAS PUT ON HOLD FOR OVER AN HOUR AND A HALF. I waited and waited and put them on hold and asked to speak to "conceirge services" who got a manager on the phone all to tell me that surprise! I needed to get my husband to call back bc he is the official authorized person. We finshed our call and the orignial call was still holding. See attached screenshot. ACKERMAN IF YOU ARE INVESTIGATING, please make sure you do it not just online for your negative reviews but also on the recorded calls and the quality of service your customers received. All this, in addition to negative customer service experience for 4 straight years. If we return to Atlanta we will not rehire or recommend.

Ackerman provides local alarm system protection for my home at a fair and reasonable price for basic home alarm system. They react quickly to an alarm and provide good customer service.
I was sure busy in August with work and I was very impressed when Charles arrived at my house around 7am to provide this service, program my alarm system's panic buttons. It blew me away that I could take care of this before I left for work that morning.
