Incredible Customer Service. Prompt response. User-friendly equipment. All-around good experience. I've never had a security system before, but it was made super easy. I definitely feel secure living by myself. I actually (accidentally) set off my alarm because I wasn't used to it, and IN LESS THAN A FEW SECONDS, I got a call from Ackerman making sure everything was okay.
We are glad that we switched to Ackerman. They are definitely more reasonably priced than ADT. The sales person (Mark) was very informative and gave us great deals and services that included pretty cool technology.
We are so happy we switched to Ackerman. And Consultant Ilene Schoolsky was the best to work with. She didn't try to sell us something we didn't need. She was extremely professional and courteous. Plus, the lower monthly monitoring fee is a savings and I like working with a local company. Call Ackerman and Ilene!
After putting up with Brinks/ADT and their nonsense for 10 years... I finally had to make a switch and what a great experience dealing with Ackerman was... From signing up with Justin Runyan to installation with Jason Doss, every step was a pleasure. I am so glad I chose Ackerman!
JW Bampton has been a very nice professional during the switch to Ackerman. I appreciate the attention to detail and the focus on the neighborhood.
Ackerman were not the cheapest company out of the dozens I spoke to, but people buy people, and I was very impressed with JW Bampton who was the Ackerman rep who came to my house. He was polite, knowledgeable about the product, and demonstrated it very well. I called around multiple other companies but decided to go with Ackerman in the end due to their products not being proprietary, and I wanted the Honeywell Lynx touch screen system installed (not all companies offered this.) Some companies came out and didn't even show me their product...why would I buy something I've never seen?! I am very satisfied with my decision to go with Ackerman so far, and hopefully I will never have to test their break-in aftercare service. Nothing but good things to say after a couple of weeks of ownership.
We recently switched our security system from ADT. JW came out to assess our current system to ensure the switch was possible, which was a success. We had great customer services and most importantly it was affordable. A Great security system for my family. We could not have made a better decision.
We are happy with the Ackerman security systems so far. JW Bampton, the consultant with the company who we dealt was very knowledgeable and efficient. Expensive service, but it is worth having best home security for your piece of mind. Thank you.
Very happy with the quick assessment by Ilene Schoolsky for Ackerman as well as the detailed install required. The price was better than ADT and is local. thanks
Ackerman quietly does what they should at a good price. I feel totally secure knowing they are monitoring my system. The red, white, and blue signs are all that is needed to alert people that security is in the neighborhood and working.
We recently switched our security system. Phyllis came out to assess our needs and our current alarm system. After we explained our concerns, she set about determining how to best add to our system to address those concerns to our satisfaction. I must say that in all honesty, this was the most enjoyable experience. Phyllis was by far the most professional, knowledgeable, and pleasant representative we have ever worked with. She goes the extra mile to insure the customer is completely satisfied and comfortable with their product. She actually showed up when to technician was installing the equipment we added to insure it is what we wanted. Even the technician was very professional and simplified a lot of the codes that had to punched in to arm and disarm the system, thus making it very user friendly. This is one of a very few companies we have no problem referring Akerman to our friends. Ackerman has the best personnel working for them. Thank you Ackerman.

Statistics show that almost two-thirds of all home burglaries involve forced entry. You might not have ever thought about it before, but burglars use some of the same common tools to force their way into people’s homes through front doors and windows. Three of the most common tools that burglars will use include screwdrivers, crowbars, and hammers.
More important than knowing what tools burglars use to break into people’s homes, however, is knowing how to make your home more resistant to them. Here are some things that you can do to protect your home from the crafty workmanship of would-be burglars.
Homes that have security systems installed are less likely to get... READ MORE »
