You know, you really do get what you pay for. I first worked with Homeworks in 2012 to address some major repairs related to water issues. I was so pleased with the results, that shortly... thereafter I retained Homeworks to renovate my kitchen. The experience of working with them to design a kitchen that was infinitely more functional, and specially designed to meet my individual preferences was very exciting. To this day, visitors comment on the kitchen and its unique design elements. Our most recent project has just been completed, and as is the standard for all of the work Homeworks has done for me, it concluded with a walk through with a site superintendent or a project manager, and a promptly cleared punch list. It is so good to be able to get results that are designed well and contain both quality and thoroughness from start to finish.VIEW MORE »VIEW LESS »
This business recognized that a process error had occurred with my service issue and Thomas responded and worked with me to resolve this. Although I did not use Homeworks for my shower re-do, I... appreciate that he refunded the penalty charge. Thank you.VIEW MORE »VIEW LESS »

Thank you Susan. You're the best. I hope you are enjoying everything, and the family is all good. We hope to see you again soon.

Thank you for the phone conversation today. We are also happy we were able to get this worked out, and that you are fully satisfied with the resolve. While we regret putting you in this position firstly, we appreciate that you helped us fix our process and that our future customers will benefit from the correction we made.
I used Homeworks a couple of years ago to install a sidelight and called upon them again to handle several jobs around my home including painting and re-hanging shutters. The service was prompt as usual and finished with quality work.
We love small jobs too! They're a great opportunity to meet new folks and spread the word. Thank you for having us.
Hayes completed a room remodel, our house exterior lights and interior paint job among other things. We continue to use their services because they keep you informed on everything. Their work is of high quality and they are always dependable. I recommend you use their services!!! We will continue to be repeat customers. Thanks!
It is our pleasure Porters! Thanks for continuing to call on us - we'll be sure to keep bringing our A game.
I'm a tough client. I know, because I have clients myself. I'm not easy to please and I expect everything to be up to a certain standard. I also value a good deal. Homeworks aren't the cheapest guys in town, but it's a calculated call you make in hiring them. What we got in return for our investment was above and beyond expectation, quickly done, and executed with a skilled and highly professional team. Our basement landing project was complete, soup to nuts, in 3 weeks: dirt floor dug out and concreted, framing, drywall, insulation, painting, finishing touches - the works. Thomas kept a close eye on the project as we moved forward, informing us along the way of any necessary changes (the expenses of which were minimal at best--a small plumbing issue was amended, and that was the extent of it). Homeworks also bonused us a host of elements, including fixing an empty window space and adjusting a dryer vent area, just to ensure we were 100% happy with the project. What was once a simple dirt floor area, filled with a variety of electrical and support beam challenges, is now a beautiful area that exceeded our expectations in size (another thing they included as added value) and quality. And the team are truly goods guy who bust their booties to do right by clients: even challenging ones like me. I recommend Homeworks for projects you need done right. My husband and I are thrilled with our results.
I appreciate all your patience with us while we worked to get you squared away. (BTW, your neighbor was very nice, Nellie, and moved her vehicle a few weeks back, so we could get the concrete completed. I thanked her but thought you should know- we’d have been in trouble otherwise ;). Hope all is well - Thomas
We had a great experience with the entire team. When we sent in our project request, the owner was on vacation, but was very responsive to our needs in getting someone out right away. We found his associates to be friendly, knowledgeable and very hard-working. Both jobs were completed to our satisfaction and we will definitely use them again!
The guys said were very nice to work with as well, and I agree. Thanks for letting us take care of you. Call us on the other of course- and we’ll look forward to doing something really nice for you in the future!
Thomas and team did an amazing job getting my house ready to put on the market. I needed many different jobs done, including interior painting, exterior carpentry, fixing damaged hardwoods, etc. Multiple team members came by to get the work done quickly over the next couple days, and everything came out looking good as new. Very high quality work by a professional, yet friendly, staff who clearly takes pride in their product. Will use them again.
Hope all is going with your plans for the home. Thank you for the opportunity.
We recently used Homeworks for some minor repairs around the house. The contractors they used were professional, but the price we paid was high. We had some communication issues when it came down to the bill. It would have been better if I could have dealt with the workers directly. Next time, I will cut out the middle man and call the companies on my own.
This review is inconsistent with conversation and emails with the customer prior to this review, at which time the customer expressed great satisfaction. The customer stated "97% perfect and 3% imperfect" and expressed quality work was completed on time and professionally. The job was rushed at the customer's request, with extra work completed without prompting and at no additional charge, and all for the price previously agreed upon. We also followed up promptly via email and telephone to establish our desire to understand what else we could do.
Based on favorable published reviews I retained Hayes Homeworks (HHW) to renovate a dated (1986) master bath and secondarily refresh the master bedroom with new crown molding, paint and carpeting. Being a former research scientist with a long standing respect for detail I was very pleased with the keen attention to the smallest project details provided by Tom Hayes and his team in both the design and build phases. Without increasing the room size HHW was not only able to build a stylish and functional re-designed master bath with virtually all new quality components i.e. vanity/mirror, large window, tub, shower, vent fans, lighting and tile but also, due to the more efficient use of the available space, was able to add a nice size towel/linen closet as well. The attached photos provide good before and after views of the renovation. Coupled with the new touches added to the bedroom I now have a master bath/bedroom suite to be proud of. Given my experiences with HHW during the execution of this project and the attractive results I would strongly recommend HHW to anyone considering similar home renovation projects.
This was a great bathroom renovation, done in a 'carefully modern' style and in a home of age and type so common in the area. It's a good showcase for what can be achieved in seemingly limited spaces. We enjoyed working with you very much and with helping you make your master space something to proud of.
Hayes Homeworks took down the wall between our living and den. We requested a flush beam. Our room also involved cabinetry, stain matching, opening the foyer wall which required redoing or staircases, new floors, and electrical work. Hayes worked with us to make our project affordable. (We took on the painting ourselves). The workers were punctual and protected the rest of the house from the mess as much as possible. What stands out most to me was their efforts to make sure that we were pleased with everything. Every Reno has its own peculiarities and we were able to work together to bring our room into reality.
I loved doing this project. It is the classic example of what we mean when we say the best renovation is one that looks like it was always there. A renovated space that maximizes effect while still living well with the rest of the home is always at the heart of our planning and though it's easy to say, it's rarely easy to execute. So we are happy you are so pleased. Thank you for letting us help you achieve your goals for your new Music/Family room.
I first used Hayes Homeworks in 2012 to find the cause of a bad leak in a wall in my great room and was very impressed with the detailed problem solving used by Thomas Hayes. I was given the details that were involved and then options explained so I could understand better what to have done. I used the company again in 2013 and have to say that the quality level of all of the craftsmen that do the work is extremely high and the results just the best I have seen. Costs were fair and explained in advance so I could decide how much I could afford to do or how to do it. I highly recommend the company for any redesign, new design, or repair work for your home. I will use them in the future for anything I need done.
Thanks for the opportunity and for your patience with us.
We contacted Hayes Homeworks along w/ a local handyman to provide an estimate for some minor repairs on our house that we purchased about a year ago. We needed a couple of exterior small holes patched up, soffit damaged by wood rot replaced & the area around our chimney sealed up. We chose HH based on Thomas' professionalism & commitment to truly repair our home vs patch/cover up the issues. On the 1st day, Lead Tech Adam made the 1st of many discoveries. The area (framing/roof) surrounding our chimney held significant damages behind the walls - termite damage, wood rot & black mold. HH was quick to diagnose the root problem - roof leak that led to wood rot/termite damages/mold & draft a plan to fix the root causes of all issues. HH was sure to seal off the areas affected by black mold and ensure that my family (including my 3 mo old) was safe. Throughout the coming weeks, the HH team kept an extremely clean work site allowing us to maintain our normal lives during the midst of major repairs. Entire team was timely & professional throughout the project. Thomas kept open lines of communication throughout the duration of the project & was extremely focused to our needs - as the project scope & budget increased, he made every effort to reduce costs where possible. Both Thomas & Adam documented the entire project & took time out of their packed schedule to discuss the project with our insurance adjuster on multiple occasions. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend HH to anyone.
In hindsight, I'm sure we are both grateful that we caught your problems in the beginning of what turned out to be a very wet summer!
Hayes Homeworks is the best. They give a detailed estimate, including when they are going to start and how long it may take, AND they really mean it! The guys were super nice, very knowledgeable, and careful. Cleaned up perfectly. Would recommend this company any time, in fact we have another job for them coming up!
Thank you sir. We enjoy working for you and Mary...and thank you for letting me "play" your piano!
I am happy with the work done. It was amazing. The price and time completed was worth every dollar.
We hired Thomas to replace our gutters. Unfortunately for us we not only needed to replace the gutters but Thomas's crew realized we needed to replace all our soffit and fascia. Not fun but necessary. The work looks fantastic. We never have to worry about water damage and basement flooding again! The crew are all very nice and easy to talk to. I would definitely work with Hayes Homeworks again.
We give small repairs the same diligent attention we give to larger projects...like the 3-story complete soffit/fascia and gutter replacement for your home we just completed (Aug 2013). Best practices for all jobs.
