Septic systems are a serious source of groundwater contamination. Septic systems are designed to drain away human waste underground at a slow, harmless rate. An improperly designed, located, constructed, or maintained septic system can leak bacteria, viruses, household chemicals, and other contaminants into the groundwater causing serious problems. It is recommended that you have your septic tank pumped and inspected every 3 to 5 years. RooterPLUS! - helping keep Gerogia's groundwater safe.
Good luck actually getting a $175 service! I spoke with them prior to coming out, told them my septic tank was full and I would need an extra hose because of distance, price was agreed to and when... they came out it was like the world had ended because my tank was full. Of course I had to have the "crust buster" service which was an additional fee...the crust buster is a weed whacker with a rubber paddle and they ran it for 3 minutes (I timed them). They cleaned the crust buster on my lawn and left the debris, left cigarette butts and did not fill the hole back in. Called to complain and was told a supervisor would call back. I never heard from them. Do not use these guys.VIEW MORE »VIEW LESS »
Randy K. returned my late evening call within minutes. I had come home to a nice little flood in my foyer and though I'd sopped up what I could, I was worried whatever caused the water overflow... would happen again in the middle of the night. I was also worried about the cost. Randy was professional and patient as he helped me over the phone to look over my water bill and assess whether I was on a septic tank or sewer. He took time to ask me questions about my plumbing, where the leak came from and explained what might have happened and what I could expect as “worst case” *before* he ever arrived. Once he was here he went right to work and eliminated any causes right away that could have been the (very costly) source of my water leak to reassure me that my particular issue wasn’t as bad as I was worried it may be. Other businesses I’ve dealt with in the past would have taken advantage of my panicked state, not Randy. He was empathetic and truly just wanted to make a bad, late night situation better for me. It’s refreshing to find that kind of honesty and integrity still exist today. He fixed the issue in less than 1/2 the time it took him to drive all the way over to my location. He was caring, very polite and professional and explained everything and every charge thoroughly. The cost was minimal and more than fair. I will definitely reach out to RooterPLUS again if I have any more plumbing issues and will ask for Randy by name.VIEW MORE »VIEW LESS »
Ernie and Aaron were great personable guys, gave us up front pricing and the low down on our issue before service was performed; I would use this company again!~ And I have!
I wish I had read the reviews before calling them. They came out and pumped my holding tank and my pumping tank...yes, the pumping tank, which had about 4 inches of water in it. Shame on me for not knowing that a pumping tank is where the water goes to be pumped uphill, and if it were full, then it'd be faulty. But a few inches is normal. They charged me an extra $195 for that, on top of the $295 for the holding tank. The "coupon" I got from the internet didn't get me any discount -- it's $295 and $195 whether you have a coupon or not -- that's deceptive in my book. They also told me I needed $3000 worth of "repairs." Fortunately, I declined and got a second opinion. The second opinion said I needed no repairs and, he was incredulous that they charged me anything at all to pump the pumping tank. I'll know better next time. Hold your nose at these guys.
We would really like to review your specific situation and concerns. Please call our office and ask to speak to the Customer Relations Manager so we can look into your job site. Thank you for your feedback.
They are a very unprofessional company with rude technicians. I paid $5800 to have my field line relocated and was told that they would regrade my yard to even it out. Six weeks later, their rude technician told me no. I have dips and crevices all over my yard. Not safe for kids. Will never use again.
Since your posting we went through extensive conversations to ensure you were completely satisfied. As said when we spoke, we deeply apologize if anybody with our company was ever rude to you in any way. That is definitely not our company policy or procedure. All of the dips and crevices have been smoothed out, the yard reseeded, and straw was laid throughout the yard as well. We appreciate your feedback and you giving us the opportunity to make things right with you. Please do not hesitate to call the Customer Relations Manager here at the office if you ever have any other questions or concerns. Thank you!
Our water heater ruptured in the crawlspace of our home. Rooter Plus came highly recommended by another trusted vendor and I now know why. Plumber Sam arrived within a couple of hours of my call. He assessed the situation, sat down with me at my kitchen table and explained in great detail what needed to be done and what options were available. He started work right away and even fielded some follow-up questions from me today. A representative from Rooter Plus called today just to make sure that I'd had a great experience. I highly recommend them.
We appreciate you kind comments and we are glad we were able to help you in your time of need. Please never hesitate to call our Customer Relations Manager if you should ever have any additional questions about your plumbing or anything else. Thank you!
Unfortunately I called rooted plus for a problem with an odor coming from my septic tank. Like many other customers, I'm afraid that I was scammed. Shame on me for not doing more research up front and shame on them for taking advantage of a widow. I was also told that I had sludge in my lines and that my options were to either get new lines dug or treat them with chemicals, I ended up being charged 2500 for the chemicals, which I suspect we're not even needed and probably will not correct the problem.
I apologize if you felt that you were taken advantage of in any way. It is not our practice to make you feel so. I'm sure that your repairs remain successful to this day. If not please contact our office and ask for the Customer Relations Manager so we may address any of your questions or concerns. Thank you for your feedback.
Call company to pump 1000 gallon tank and was charged for 1500 gallon tank long and short they are not there to pump the tank they are there to get you to replace everythimg or spend as much as you can so the $195 special cost me $700 and another $5000 in repairs to come also they think I should sign a maintance contract after everything is fixed?
We arrive at a home to do as a customer request. Unfortunately, a septic system is underground and cannot be diagnosed over the phone. If you would like to discuss any additional repairs that were diagnosed and recommended for your system, please contact our office and ask for the Customer Relations Manager. We will be glad to help you with any of your concerns. We appreciate your feedback. Thank you.
my name is l. terry and i'm sharing an experience i had with rooter plus this month.I was charged for a baffle& filter for my septic tank that i didn't need and when i reported this to mrs wiggins at rooter plus she immediately researched my account and found that they had installed a new baffle & filter in 2007.. Filters can be cleaned, they don't have to be replaced and she refunded my charge card no questions asked..the mgmt team at rooter plus is honest, but a few bad apples in the field is common,[ techs]thank you mrs wiggins...
Thank you so much for your kind feedback. We are glad we could assist you. We keep a history of every job site we go out to so we can service your homes needs accordingly. I'm glad to hear we solved your problem for you. Thank you again!
I had clear water backing up into bathtub and gave them a call. At time of call I asked if there was a service call and was informed that there was not and the cost would be $195.00 for a 1000 gal tank and that thery would be no difficulty in locating the tank. long story short - he couldn't locate tank - it would be a 125.00 fee if i didn't let him start digging to locate tank - would cost $ 240.00 if he couldn't locate tank i refused to pay stating that by law if there was a service fee for the service i had to be informed before they came and that i was told no service fee was involved i would not pay one. I raefused to let them dig and he started telling me it could cost me up to 50,000 thous. to get the tank cleaned. He did leave with no payment after complaining about missing his child's birthday and all the gas it cost him to come. DO NOT CALL THESE GUYS IT IS A BIG SCAM COMPANY .
It seems that they may have been some miscommunication on our part regarding your home. We apologize for being unable to locate your tank. Most tanks can be found quickly and do not require any extensive search. However, from time to time we do run into some that cannot be located with our regular procedure. I am unsure of why you would be told that it would cost $50,000 to have your tank cleaned. Please contact our office and ask for the Customer Relations Manager so we may look up the details of your home and address your concerns. Thank you for your feedback.
So rooter plus HVAC came out to service our furnace, they called me at work with the alarming news that we had a cracked heat exchanger and several other problems. Need to replace for about 3500. I called Reliable Heating and Air (who I normally use) for a second opinion. They found no problems at all other than the furnace is getting old. Rooter also installed a new thermostat and overcharged my wife for it. Well they didn't actually hook it up correctly (this is on a different furnace) so the furnace would not turn on. The reliable guy fixed that in a couple of minutes and replaced the furnace door the tech had left off. my advise just go elsewhere.
Courteous, informative and very knowledgeable. I noticed our septic tank was leaking at 4:00pm this Saturday afternoon. Called three places and Rooter Plus was the only the company that could come out. Time was of the essence. To our relief, George arrived at 4:50pm. Upon inspection and talking with my husband it was discovered that our pump wasn't working properly. Once the electric issue was resolved our tank water pumped down and we did not need the tank pumped. This is our first home with a septic tank and George took his time to explain where everything was and how everything worked. And yes, we do have two tanks. But neither of them needed pumping. George and Richie checked out everything and we were fine. They were here for 45 mins. and there was no charge! I will say I did read these reviews and was completely worried, but thankfully unnecessarily. As with any repair, there are unforeseen problems that may arise. I can only say that each homeowner should to be somewhat educated before any such repair work is completed. You might think it's a simple pump that is needed, but my neighbors ran into the same problem others reported (with a different co.). It's not a simple $200 job when you need to dig up the lawn. Luckily for us we have easy access and our septic is in perfect working condition. When we do need a pump I will be calling Rooter Plus, and also requesting George! Thank you so much for making this still a beautiful weekend!
I called twice to ask about their low pump out price. I was told that they can offer such a low price because they take their tanks to an area that charges one low fee. They came to my house and immediately began up charging...charging for things I was never told about on the phone, even though I mentioned my situation. My husband sent them packing......Shame on you....Consumers Beware....
I called Rooter Plus for a simple septic pump job, thinking it would be around $200, at most $300 since that is what I was quoted. Before he even put his backhoe in the ground, he was talking like it would need additional work, as though we had called with a problem. He dug it up, and described some things that needed fixing, estimating around $2500. Of course he made it sound pretty dire. Then he quoted $500 just to pump the thing. He sited that it would require a lot of work to get the truck back there, but then told me he just intended to run over my yard, landscape rocks, etc. Where is the difficulty in running things over to get to the back yard?? Seemed to me he came looking to offer a diagnosis where there wasnt a problem, and inflated his charges before he even got out of his truck. NOT a company I would do business with. Red flags everywhere, its just a matter of paying attention to them. Do yourself a favor and call a local small business; they may quote more upfront, but the price will be the same when they get there. Plus they may be able to offer solutions to solve the problem since they are thinking for themselves, and not trained sales-monkeys with heavy equipment.
Avoid this company. They will up-sell you with products and services that you do not need. I received a low-ball quote to pump my septic tank. When they were finished they gave me a bill for over $3,000. I have spoken with the Forsyth Health Department and they have had many complaints with RooterPLUS. There are other companies in this line of work that are trustworthy and honest. This company has no ethics or morals. Their owner refused to speak with me. Save yourself $1,000’s and do not use this organization. Put this company out of business.
We had no choice but to call around for the cheapest price ... Rooter Plus quoted us $195 to pump out our tank (imagine how releived we were)...... only when they got there, they said they had to charge us an extra $100 to dig to get to it? It took him all of 10 minutes to dig it up with his equipment. Ironically, since we told him that we only had about $300 till pay day, he up-charged us to that amont. FISHY FISHY .... Then when he was finished the toilet still wouldn't flush .... he said there were roots in the line and if we wanted him to clear it out it would be an extra $460!!!! My husband told him not to fill in the hole but put the cover stone back on, that way, when we called another company, they wouldn't try to charge us another $100 to dig it up. We didn't notice until he was gone that the coverstone wasn't on there properly and we could see into the tank. I called them and told him that they needed to come back and seat that stone. He told me "no, your husband told the tech to leave it that way" when I disagreed, he called me a liar. I cursed, told him they were dishonest, and hung up. Another company charged $195 to fix it and seated the stone at no extra charge. What theives! See city search for my full review.
I called and got a quot for $295 to pump out septic tank for regular maintenance. I asked if there were any other hidden charges and was assured that it would only cost $295 for the 1500 gal tank. When Bill opened the tank he said it had a filter that would cost $125 to clean it. I said I will clean it my self and washed it off with a hose and took me 1 min to clean it my self. Then he opened up the other side of the tank and he said it needs a crust buster for $250 to get the crust on top stirred up so the hose will suck it up. I looked at it but I really didn't know what it would take to break it up so I said no. I didn't want to pay $250 for this. He then said he would charge me $295 for the service call and would put a lean on my house if I didn't pay and I was stuck so he then spent all of 5min to crust bust for $250! I think they would have to do this on all pump outs so don't buy that line of crap! He also added $18.50 for fule charge and 5.75 for environmential fee and tax on the $295 for a total of $569.25. I wish I would have read Kudzu.com first! This seems to be the norm for this company. I also got a e-mail from my neighbor: “I saw you had your tank cleaned today. I live around the corner and had mine done a couple months ago by Rooter Plus. Just a warning that they will try to sell you on a new system totaling about $2500, even if you really don't need it! Might want to get a 2nd opinion. Its their M.O. as we were told by the health department
Called for routine pump out, 4hours late, then went from $195, to $800, then $4500.oo. got job done another company for $400, this co is dishonest and a ripoff.
