I had a bad phone experience with Amber, who was quite rude, but I later found out she worked for a phone service and not for Casteel directly. John, the plumbing manager, went above and beyond the... call of duty to make sure I was well taken care of and completely changed my mind about the company. The bad service never ends. When Selling service agreement "filters are free" fast forward to time of service "filters are $60". When installing new AC, "no new drainage pipes needed". When... unclogging drainage pipes 3 months after installation, "here is a quote for the cost to install new drainage pipes. When taking the attic stairs and molding down to fit the new AC system they said "it will look like we never touched it once complete" After a week of the attack stairs and molding not being re-installed they were reinstalled without molding, now we have an unpainted square around the attack stairs. On initially contacting Casteel Heating and Cooling, the experience was an unexpected pleasure. From the courtesies expressed by the receptionist who first took my telephone call to the professionalism displayed by Bobby Loebl is one that very few service companies can make claim to. As part of my decision making process I scheduled seven heating and cooling companies for proposals and during Bobby’s visit there were two other companies present. Although most offered the same choice of equipment and some at a much lower cost, the follow-up, courtesies and professionalism the staff of Casteel Heating & Cooling made the decision an easier one to make. The installation team of Jeff Dempsey and Jason Rice were great. They kept us informed during the entire process and took the time to review programming and owner maintenance. Max Bayard #0101375
Casteel was recommended to me when our A/C wasn't working. I called to set up an appointment, but was not informed that there was a service call fee of $79. The guy came out, was at my house for all of 15 minutes. He said the motor wasn't working so we needed a new one. He quoted me ~$1300 but suggested we get a new unit because it is 13 years old. After calling another company, he installed a new motor & charged us $520 including the cost of the motor. This price difference is too significant to me to consider using Casteel again.
it is such a relief to finally find a company you can trust. I've used Nate for my service - he is great. Then I had to replace an old unit, met their design sales guy, Ryan - very nice and knowledgeable, then finally the guys that put in the new system, Joe and Eric. Super people. Very professional, courteous,. Everyone I have encountered with Casteel have been super. They are definitely there for their customers - just like the good old days. Thought that was a lost art.
Had my system replaced. Both technicians (Jesus and Heisen) are well qualified, prompt, friendly and great workers. The system was installed an my duct work changed to my requirements. All trash was removed. They also provided instructions on working the new thermostat. I am extremely pleased with the work.
Jesus and Heisein replaced a furnace and evaporator coil. They kept us advised on what they were doing and the progress of the job. They did a top notch job and left the area clean. Highly recommend this company and these men. #102069 Darrell Ingram
I have been a realestate agent for 16 years and I have seen a lot of HVAC systems. Some old, some new and some ready to die. I have used my home inspector, who is very picky and usually finds issues with every HVAC system! I just had Casteel install two new Trane HVAC systems in my own home, so of course, I had my inspector check over the job. He was impressed! He is never impressed. He said they did a fantastic job!! My installers, Michael Frye and Careron were professional, courteous, and knowledgeable. They were to best!! Also Lamar Pittman (System Design) took time to answer all my questions and checked back with me during the job and after it was finished! Great experience! Thank you!!!!!
Great job today ripping out the old duct work and replacing with new duct work. Best part about this was they only replaced what needed to be replaced, they were able to reuse some components saving money. Other companies would have taken full advantage of the situation. Jesus, Hilario, Heisen did a great job today getting the job done, extremely professional and truly cared about the work that they did. We were looking to replace our Air duct system downstairs and contacted four companies (Casteel, Bardi, Seasons Comfort, and Cool Air). All except one (cool air, see separate review) were responsive and courteous. However, Casteel really went above and beyond. Our system design manager was Chris Michel. He came out and gave us a tremendous amount of knowledge and advice even before we signed up to do things. He was amazingly responsive, returning every email and call within minutes. We wanted options and he gave them to us with no issues. We decided to go with Casteel and their work crew was great. They went to extra mile. When anything came up, they addressed it. Even after the job was done and paid for, we called Chris because we were concerned our carpenter was restricting the air flow with some subsequent work, and Chris offered to come over and give us advice, no questions asked. Great service and we highly recommend them.
We chose Casteel based off of a referral from a friend. They came out immediately to look at our issues and even came back the next day with a resolution and price. Initially they weren't going to be able to install our new heating & AC unit for another 2 weeks- but since they knew we were looking to have it installed sooner if possible they called and moved us up a week, which was great! Joe Vanderbilt and Jason Carver got to our house on time, went over the process, asked if we had any questions, then worked about 8 hours with no interruption to our day. No mess left behind either. I would recommend Casteel if you are looking for someone who knows what they are doing, gives you honest feedback about what you need(without trying to up sell you), and completes their business in a very timely manner. Told by the tech that there were multiple problems totaling over $2500 in needed repairs. Included a picture of "mold" that wasn't even from our unit.Also said our unit was 4 lbs low on Freon. An HONEST company ran every "extra cost" test and reported our unit was prefect, completely full of Freon, and has absolutely no issues or mold. A complete waste of the $79 service fee. Stay away!

Just had both my furnace and air condition replaced for 2 floors in my home. Casteel service technicians, Andy, Jesse, Larry & Mike did an excellent job. From start to finish they installed all equipment in one day. On schedule, clean up and protected floors both upstairs and downstairs. If I could give them more than 5 stars, I would. I've been with Casteel for a couple of years now, and I've been very satisfied with their service so far. My experience with Casteel was excellent today. The service technician was on time and very professional, knowledgeable and courteous. Although I had to replace the fan motor on my A/C and hated to spend the money, I feel like the technician gave me sound advice, and the price was reasonable, and I feel confident that I will get many more years out of my A/C unit.
