We love our environment and are taking steps to help keep it healthy. We now use electronic medical records and e-prescribing prescription medication. We use rechargeable batteries and recycled materials whenever possible. Finally, we have a lobby dedicated to nature complete with lots of sunshine and a koi pond.
This entire situation is ridiculous. I understand that nothing is free. I didnt and dont ask for any hand me downs. I work in an ob/gyn facility and I was informed that treatment should not be denied... if im in a payment plan with haven ob/gyn. I was planning on paying "my full balance" earlier than expected around income tax time. Im a very dependable, sweet, and reliable patient but was treated like I was a criminal . And no...ur office was clear as to the ESTIMATED OUT OF POCKET EXPENSE. it was not fair on me so I COULD MAKE THE DECISION to if I could afford the surgery or not. I called my insuarance co prior to surgery and verfied and im paying northside hospital and anesthesiolgy bill to but they told me prior to. I had 6 fibroid tumors removed this summer. If I knew then what I knw now..I would have left those fibroid tumors in place until I got the money together rather than owe a bill and be refused to see the doctor for a small minor visit. But its ok...I knw better ob/gyn offices who will see me and not discrimimate. Im still going to pay you my money according to my financially agreement monthly. I dont think nothing is free. I work very hard to pay all my bills. I just can't believe I was refused treatment. Thanks Monica: for denying a paying patient who has never been late in paying the bill, always paying my co-pays when visiting the doctot, and ALWAYS made it to my doctors visits on time there at haven ob/gyn. U just lost one of the best patients..VIEW MORE »VIEW LESS »
I'm a completely new patient and I've never experienced a service like this from any OBGYN office. I'm considered to be high risk with my current pregnancy; so finding a capable doctor was top... priority. I read over 50 reviews and made an appointment right away. My appointment was around 11am & it was very quiet. The waiting area gave you a calm/peaceful feeling. I interacted with 5 office staff members and they all were personable. I saw Dr. Jewell & instantly knew he was the right doc for me. He answered all my questions and kept asking me if I had anymore. He was AMAZING!!! (So was his assistant). He even hugged me when I was leaving. My husband and daughter were with me & we all agree that WE LOVE THIS PLACE!!! After reading all of these positive reviews, you would be a FOOL not to make an appointment asap. BEST PLACE EVER!!!VIEW MORE »VIEW LESS »
Dr. Moore and Dr. Jewell are hands down the best doctors I've ever had. They run an extremely efficient practice. I've gone through 2 pregnancies there and never had to wait more than 10 min. In fact, I usually don't even have a chance to sit down before being called back. They explain everything really well, make you feel completely comfortable, are personable and likeable, and don't rush through your appointment. When I call the nurse's line with an issue, it's often the doctors, themselves, who call me back to discuss symptoms. Their practice really puts others to shame, and I'm spoiled now. I'm sure there are other obgyn's in Atlanta who are good, but I honestly can't imagine there are any as good as Dr. Moore and Dr. Jewell.
Both my sister and I have had our babies delivered with Dr. Moore and wouldn't dream of going elsewhere! Pregnancy is a stressful time and having a good doctor makes all of the difference. My sister is pregnant with her third child and relieved to be delivering her baby once again with Dr. Moore. We have both experienced other ob/gyn doctors and none were near the level of skill and quality of Dr. Moore and his staff. In my first pregancy, I had placenta previa and my husband and I were extremely nervous. I changed to Dr. Moore's office at 5 months pregnant and was not disappointed. He monitered my entire pregnancy via 3-D ultrasound and knowledgeably addressed each and every concern. I have a tendency to worry alot during my pregnancies! I appreciated that Dr. Moore never made me feel foolish or silly for my concerns, as some doctors have in the past. Of course, it is important to realize that no person or doctor is perfect, and every pregancy is different, as well. However, if I have to wait an extra 10 minutes in the waiting room, because my doctor is taking good care of his other patients, it doesn't bother me. He will do the same with me. Doctor Moore ALWAYS took time with me and that is definitely worth the occasional wait. I felt I was in good hands in his care and would highly recommend him to other pregnant women.
I completely understand emergencies and from this experience just learned a lesson to 'not try and fix what is not broken' in terms of changing drs. Since I was referred by a relative, I was kind of shocked that I didn't recieve any direct type of correspondence with an apology or at least acknowledgement of my situation (other than the response on Kudzu). Also, I had scheduled 1 1/2 hrs to physically be in the office for this visit--I had to be back at noon to work and knew that wasn't happening. I nor anyone I have discussed this with believes I have 'unrealistic expectations' at all. It has never taken me longer than that for a visit with an obgyn in the past. This does not necessarily reflect on the doctor, but I was embarrased and offended by the way I was spoken to by the receptionist. Regardless I am sure Dr Moore is a good dr... Just not a wonderful experience w/staff on my end unfortunately. I am very happy to hear the situation is being addressed with the office staff member.
Let me begin by saying NEVER is it acceptable for my office staff to be rude to patients. That being said, let me expound on this incident. This patient booked a new patient appointment at 10:30 and informed my staff she had to be back to work at 11:15. If she had walked in my door, immediately left a urine sample, had vital signs taken, sat in my office to explain her medical history and current problem (remember she is a new patient), gotten undressed, been examined... (you get the point) it is unlikely that she could have left my office by 11:00 to be back to work on time (assuming there is no Atlanta traffic and she works close by). I think she set herself up with unrealistic expectations and no one could live up to them. Now, I deal with medical conditions and sometimes emergencies arise. On this particular day, one of the pregnant women who went before her happened to be bleeding and needed to be seen immediately. Anyways, I hate waiting at the doctors office and try very hard to stay on time... but emergencies happen, sometimes an appointment takes longer than we scheduled... and I get behind. This person who works in doctors offices should know this. I realize that you have more contact with my staff than me and strive to have an excellent staff. I will not tolerate rudeness and will deal with this situation. Finally I did not call to apologize because this person within hours of the appointment posted this public bashing of me on the internet. I do not take kindly to my good name getting trashed and am glad this person has decided to go elsewhere for healthcare.
I moved from New York to Atlanta and found Dr. Moore on Kudzu.I wonder if the reviews here are real because my experience with him isnt the same. I like him, but didn't like the way he took care of me during my pregnancy. He made me come in alot more than I needed to for tests and tests and tests that my insurance didn't pay all for. He then forced me to be induced because that is when he is on call. I only seen him two times all day and then he just did a cesarean at the end. The nurse told me that he probably would do a cesaerean as usual.I dont think he gave me a chance to deliver. Yes he is nice and can be sarcastic and arogant but I think he needs a better attitude and respect for pregnant people. i shouldnt of believed the things I read about him here cause its probably made up. This now is a real patient with a real review. Thankyou.
There are so many negative things here, I'm not sure where to start. First let me say, I believe strongly in letting patients make the ultimate decisions on their health care. Things like lab tests, epidurals, C-sections, inductions, and episiotomies are all done after explaining the pros/cons and letting you make the final call. I follow the standard of care established by ACOG (the American College of Ob/Gyn) and don't order any unusual/unnecessary tests. I cannot speak for all insurance plans, but I try and warn if there's a chance a lab won't be covered. Again, you can always decline a lab, test, or ultrasound if you don't want them. I never force anyone to do anything- especially inductions or C-sections. I have a low C-section rate although I think it would be a lot lower for everyone if we didn't have so many lawsuits- but we'll save that for another day. I think the nurses at Northside like me and doubt they would say "he'll probably do a C-section as usual." I also wonder why she stuck with me if she was unhappy- there are a lot of ob/gyn's in Atlanta. I think most of my patients like me, but no practice fits everyone. If you are unhappy with your doctor, change- I have people change practices to me all the time because they are unhappy with their current practice. Finally, I know all of my patients (I'm a solo doctor) and I couldn't find anyone who was induced, from New York, and had a C-section in the past few months. I also noticed this person made a real effort to state they were 'real.' I love Kudzu and think it's a great thing that patients can write reviews on their doctors. However anyone, even competition, can post things and I think this may be such a posting.
I wouldn't go anywhere else, even if you paid me to. Dr. Moore and his staff took excellent care of me throughout my pregnancy and afterwards. He is a very cautious physicians, which puts my mind at ease 100%. I never feel that I am being rushed, and I am able to have all of my questions answered before leaving the office. I would, and have, recommended Dr. Moore to friends and family. I have also seen his nurse/midwife Carol a few times, and she's great too!
If your looking for the most caring, considerate, & knowledgeable OB/GYN & staff .. look no further this is it!! After I found out I was pregnant, I went to another OB for 3 visits, I was very uncomfortable with that doctor & decided to look on Kudzu. I found Dr. Moore & scheduled a visit ..... WOW! WHAT A DIFFERENCE!! This is my 1st pregnancy and I had no clue what to expect. Dr. Moore met with me & told me a little bit about himself, spelled out what I should expect through the pregnancy, answered questions I never even thought about & provided a great "goody" bag before leaving. I like the consistency of seeing the same doctor, unlike the feeling of being a number in one of those mecca cookie cutter offices. Dr. Moore provides the 3D/4D sonograms that are AMAZING! Several of my friends expecting now have only received the older b & w type. I can go on & on about the doctor which is important, but let's face it, half the time in the doctor's office is interacting with the staff, & the staff here is above and beyond helpful as well! I have now started having problems with "that previous" doctor and his absurd billing practices and Brittany in Dr. Moore's office has done so much to help & guide me during my ordeal with them. I've consulted w/Brittany in the past with Insurance questions unrelated to Dr. Moore & she is always eager to help! EVERYONE here goes above and beyond to make sure your pregnancy is as comforting and wonderful as it should be!!
I was not an actual patient of Dr. Moore's yet but had a upcoming appt. Prior to my appt my baby's heart stopped beating and I had had an missed miscarriage. The acting physician that I was going to requested that I wait from Wednesday to Monday to remove the dead fetus. I was already hysterical due to fact that my 1st born had died. In also that they would not mind having me carry it over the weekend. I may have done harm to myself in the mental state that I was in. I called Dr. Moore's office and he squeezed me in immediately. He was a blessing and he also called the hospital and did my surgery for me after hours at 9pm. This doctor truly cares about people even those like myself that he doesn't even know. I will forever be appreciative of what he did for me in my time of grief and despair. Thank you so much... He will be my doctor for life! He also kept me very well informed in every step of this procedure. Thank you Dr. Moore.
Dr. Moore is an incredibly compassionate and sensitive doctor who really, truly cares for his patients. My husband and I had had 3 miscarriages in a row, and it meant so much to us how willing Dr. Moore was to let us come in for ultrasounds, especially in the first 10 - 12 weeks of our pregnancy -- the time when we were so scared of having another miscarriage. Thank you Dr. Moore.
Dr. Moore and his staff are the best. I live one hour from the office, but it was worth the drive. I had a great pregnancy and delivery. You can tell that Dr. Moore really cares about his patients. He took the time to answer all of my questions. I never felt rushed or had to wait for long periods of time. The staff is great. They are always polite, answer your questions, and return phone calls. Although my pregnancy is over, I will keep Dr. Moore as my obgyn due to his expertise and service to his patients. When it is time for our next baby I am at ease because I know we already have a great doctor.
We had moved to ATL in December 2006. Soon after that I found a female ob/gyn on Mt. Vermont hwy for my pre-pregnancy check up and left very disappointed. I had found Dr. Moore on Kudzu and I’m very happy with my choice. Dr. Moore has been very supportive and caring thru my early miscarriage (not due to Dr. Moore’s care), D&C procedure and now our second pregnancy. He always answers all of our questions clearly (very appreciated by my husbandand :) )and we never feel rushed thru our appointment. Also, having in-office ultrasounds saves us a lot of time and extra appointments.
I just delivered via c-section with Dr. Moore at Northside. His prenatal care was top notch, and it was always clear that he cares about his patients and loves what he does - especially the ultrasounds (which are really cool.) My c-section was planned due to some of my health issues and was much easier/less stressful than I anticipated. Dr. Moore made sure I had all of the info I needed and was great at keeping my husband and I involved and aware of what was going on. The surgery was very successful, and I am having a very good recovery. I would happily recommend Dr. Moore to anyone and am looking forward to continuing as a patient with his practice.
Dr. Moore is an awesome doctor and has been very helpful & insightful the last few months I have been going to him. He seems to truly care for his patients and not only provide you with the best service, but also help in a cost efficient way for those without insurance. I highly recommend.
I did....I got married and moved to Atlanta in February of 2007. I asked around for OBGYN suggestions but soon realized in Atlanta you find someone close to home otherwise you spend your whole day traveling to an appointment...I was looking for some resturant suggesitons one evening on Kudzu and thought...humm I wonder if they have doctors...so I put in OBGYN with my soon to be zip code and Dr. Moore came up. I remeber thinking "this is no way to find a doctor!" I read his website, patient reviews, went for my first visit and I am happy to admit...boy was I wrong...finding and meeting Dr. Moore and his staff has eased any and every care or concern I could ever have...since January of 2007...we has served as my doctor, successfully performed a small surgery on me, and is now preparing my husband and I for the birth of our first baby in January 2009!! He is someone I have total confidence in and truly feel blessed to call my doctor. J. Newman
This is the greatest doctor. I feel very special every time I come. I went through numerous doctors and was blessed to find Dr. Moore. He was with me through my pregnancy and delivered my son one year ago. I refer all my co-workers to him, and everyone is happy so far.
I am not a patient but my wife is and I thought we were getting special treatment from him but it looks like everyone that has reviewed him, has received exceptional service from the Doc. Swear it was a stroke of luck that we found him after going to Marietta OBGYN and having to deal with different doctors and they kept rescheduling our follow up visit after our DNC, made it uncomfortable everytime. But with Moore he sat us down the first visit, listened to us, and delivered our first son. His only flaw is he can't predict delivery time. He was off by 2 hours! :) Sorry, Dr. Moore.
Dr. Moore and his staff give the best care possible. I have been a patient of his for almost 4 yrs. He delivered two of my daughters by c-section. One three yrs ago, and the second 18 months ago. He was always there to address any concerns we had. He is very kind and is excited when he tells you about the pregancy. Thank you Dr Moore and the staff you are the best!!
