Septic systems are a serious source of groundwater contamination. Septic systems are designed to drain away human waste underground at a slow, harmless rate. An improperly designed, located, constructed, or maintained septic system can leak bacteria, viruses, household chemicals, and other contaminants into the groundwater causing serious problems. It is recommended that you have your septic tank pumped and inspected every 3 to 5 years. RooterPLUS! - helping keep Gerogia's groundwater safe.
We moved into a new home recently and first of all we made an appointment for the day we moved in for 12-4. They didnt call until 4 to inform me that they would be coming later that evening due to... "unexpected repairs" at another house. They never showed at my house and finally called later that evening saying theyd be there the next day, first thing. Luckily he did show up early and began looking for the septic. As he was working, I left for work. He said he would let my wife know any repairs that were needed outside of the regular $175 pumping. An hour later my wife let me know that it needed $3,000 worth of repairs. She said that the technician was scraping stuff off and said that it needed to be repaired as well as the baffle tee and the tail out. We are new to sceptic systems and werent sure. After reading all of these reviews I am sure that this is a scam. I will be getting another opinion. After refusing the repairs the $175 pump ended up being $500 somehow.I would search around before hiring them again.VIEW MORE »VIEW LESS »
Scheduled an appointment for 12pm-4pm window time for residential plumbing issues. At 2pm, An employee named Michelle said they were running behind. At 3:40pm. She called again and said they didn't... know if they were going to make it as they were very behind. I told her that I've been waiting all day and it's ridiculous that they couldn't make it within a four hour window. She pretty much hung up on me. I'm extremely angry and will find another company. The only reason I called them was because they serviced my septic tank and did a decent job. I'm so over crappy customer service like this company. Michelle needs a reprimanding for treating customers like that.VIEW MORE »VIEW LESS »
Alvin and Jimbo were very informative and friendly. They explained everything before hand and did a really good job. Thanks.
I called twice to ask about their low pump out price. I was told that they can offer such a low price because they take their tanks to an area that charges one low fee. They came to my house and immediately began up charging...charging for things I was never told about on the phone, even though I mentioned my situation. My husband sent them packing......Shame on you....Consumers Beware....
I called Rooter Plus for a simple septic pump job, thinking it would be around $200, at most $300 since that is what I was quoted. Before he even put his backhoe in the ground, he was talking like it would need additional work, as though we had called with a problem. He dug it up, and described some things that needed fixing, estimating around $2500. Of course he made it sound pretty dire. Then he quoted $500 just to pump the thing. He sited that it would require a lot of work to get the truck back there, but then told me he just intended to run over my yard, landscape rocks, etc. Where is the difficulty in running things over to get to the back yard?? Seemed to me he came looking to offer a diagnosis where there wasnt a problem, and inflated his charges before he even got out of his truck. NOT a company I would do business with. Red flags everywhere, its just a matter of paying attention to them. Do yourself a favor and call a local small business; they may quote more upfront, but the price will be the same when they get there. Plus they may be able to offer solutions to solve the problem since they are thinking for themselves, and not trained sales-monkeys with heavy equipment.
Avoid this company. They will up-sell you with products and services that you do not need. I received a low-ball quote to pump my septic tank. When they were finished they gave me a bill for over $3,000. I have spoken with the Forsyth Health Department and they have had many complaints with RooterPLUS. There are other companies in this line of work that are trustworthy and honest. This company has no ethics or morals. Their owner refused to speak with me. Save yourself $1,000’s and do not use this organization. Put this company out of business.
We had no choice but to call around for the cheapest price ... Rooter Plus quoted us $195 to pump out our tank (imagine how releived we were)...... only when they got there, they said they had to charge us an extra $100 to dig to get to it? It took him all of 10 minutes to dig it up with his equipment. Ironically, since we told him that we only had about $300 till pay day, he up-charged us to that amont. FISHY FISHY .... Then when he was finished the toilet still wouldn't flush .... he said there were roots in the line and if we wanted him to clear it out it would be an extra $460!!!! My husband told him not to fill in the hole but put the cover stone back on, that way, when we called another company, they wouldn't try to charge us another $100 to dig it up. We didn't notice until he was gone that the coverstone wasn't on there properly and we could see into the tank. I called them and told him that they needed to come back and seat that stone. He told me "no, your husband told the tech to leave it that way" when I disagreed, he called me a liar. I cursed, told him they were dishonest, and hung up. Another company charged $195 to fix it and seated the stone at no extra charge. What theives! See city search for my full review.
I called and got a quot for $295 to pump out septic tank for regular maintenance. I asked if there were any other hidden charges and was assured that it would only cost $295 for the 1500 gal tank. When Bill opened the tank he said it had a filter that would cost $125 to clean it. I said I will clean it my self and washed it off with a hose and took me 1 min to clean it my self. Then he opened up the other side of the tank and he said it needs a crust buster for $250 to get the crust on top stirred up so the hose will suck it up. I looked at it but I really didn't know what it would take to break it up so I said no. I didn't want to pay $250 for this. He then said he would charge me $295 for the service call and would put a lean on my house if I didn't pay and I was stuck so he then spent all of 5min to crust bust for $250! I think they would have to do this on all pump outs so don't buy that line of crap! He also added $18.50 for fule charge and 5.75 for environmential fee and tax on the $295 for a total of $569.25. I wish I would have read Kudzu.com first! This seems to be the norm for this company. I also got a e-mail from my neighbor: “I saw you had your tank cleaned today. I live around the corner and had mine done a couple months ago by Rooter Plus. Just a warning that they will try to sell you on a new system totaling about $2500, even if you really don't need it! Might want to get a 2nd opinion. Its their M.O. as we were told by the health department
Called for routine pump out, 4hours late, then went from $195, to $800, then $4500.oo. got job done another company for $400, this co is dishonest and a ripoff.
These "people" need to be shut down. They're FAMOUS in the industry and if you see a 5-star rating, then they've written it themselves. We were scammed and our neighbor was scammed before we could warn him. They should be ashamed of themselves.
We called them for just basic septic pump for a 1000 gal. tank. They were the lowest price at 195.00 until they got here, and suddenly it was going to be 295.00 because we had a dual tank and another 195.00 'mixing fee'...then our total was 525.00 'but they are eating the tax' they tell me. It didn't add up until I looked at the receipt. They wrote it up as 300.00 + 225.00! Do NOT trust this company, not even for an estimate! They are dishonest and will take you for whatever they think they can get away with! They even tried to sell us a new filter (ours is 4 years old) at 250.00 and 160.00 bacteria for the tank. Are they on sales commission?
RooterPlus is a company to avoid at all costs. Their crew destroyed the newly installed floor in my daughters home and then not only refused to pay for the damage, but lied about informing me that the water should not be used during the drain relining they did. They are more interested in covering their @#$# than proving customer service. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY OR YOU WILL BE SORRY
My septic tank backed up, so I called RooterPlus! to come out. The Plumber told me I needed new field lines for $6000, or, I could opt for field line and septic tank pumping for $3000, and hope for the best. I was really stuck, so I told them to go ahead, here is how my bill was given: pump tank $195 Crust Buster $225 Service Filter $125 Pump Field Lines $280 Oxidizer to treat field line $1625 Jet Main Line $320 Bio Tab $260 Total $3020 When I called several competitors, the consensus was that I had been had. Even with all of the above items, my bill should not have been over $1400. And, there was no way I needed new field lines since my house is less than 10 years old. I want the public to know about these rip off artists. I am in the process of asking for a refund now over the past two weeks, and whether I get one will say a lot for the honesty and integrity of the management. I will soon launch a web site so other angry customers can pool resources.
The plumber was nice but crook. The price he quoted was 20 times more than it should. The plumber wanted to replace the heat water for $1584 when the only think should be replaced was a the thermostat. Thieves be careful from them.
Do not call this company unless you want to get ripped off. They will give you a great price initially 229.00 to pump out the septic tank and then upcharge you for scud busters 250.00 line clean out 450.00, chemical treatment 3000.00. If you see your friends or neighbors using this company warn them. If you don't believe this post call rooter plus and asked them about their pricing... If you argue about their pricing after the work is done they will tell you that they will put a lien on your house.
Called them in Nov. for a Heat Pump that was not heating in a rental townhouse I own. The Tech. came out and put 1 1/5 lbs of freon in it. He did not say there was a leak. When my tenant came home the house was 57. I called Brookyn again and she sent out the tech again. He stayed for 2 hours and couldn't figure out what was wrong. The next day I sent out another company that immediatley found a leak. They fixed it that day. I asked or a refund of the $125 of the $205 Invoice that I spent with Rooter Plus for the freon they put in that leaked out again. The Service Mgr., Brooklyn told me that she did NOT believe me that the other company fixed a leak, and that the heat strips were what I needed to replace. I said that the heat strips were working fine and the problem was a leak that I personally witnessed. She said that she believed her Tech., thus calling me a liar and hung up the phone on me. I never raised my voice or was disrespectful on the phone to her. What a TOTAL LACK OF RESPECT for the customer. I WILL NEVER USE THEM FOR H&A OR PLUMBING!!
When my entire house backed up I assumed it was a problem with my septic system. I called rooterplus right away and they sent guy to check it out. It turned out my mainline was clogged. George was very helpful and knowledgeable. He jumped on the problem as soon as he got here. He pumped my tank and cleared my mainline and I haven't had any issues since. Thanks
I woke up to find my dishwasher had leaked everywhere. I did a search and randomly picked Rooter Plus. I called and the person I spoke with was very polite and competent. They had a plumber, Ryan, to my house within 45 minutes. Ryan was also extremely polite, competent, and was able to diagnose the problem within about 5 minutes. As it turned out, it wasn't a plumbing problem, it was a problem with part of the appliance itself. Ryan showed me what I needed and explained the problem in terms a non-specialist could understand. He had several places to recommend for me to call. And most surprising of all, there was no charge! I've never heard of a plumber coming out and not charging anything--at the very least for the time and gas used to diagnose the problem. I tipped him because I believed he should get something for his extraordinary service. And the next time I need, or think I need, a plumber, I'll be calling these guys! I highly recommend them.
