The folks at GRS are very hard-working, knowledgeable and most importantly sensitive to the struggle!
Our hopes for having children were dwindling, so our last resort was to make an appointment with Georgia Reproductive Specialists (per a friends recommendation) or settle on adoption. We started... seeing Dr. Mark Perloe in 2012. After testing both my husband and myself, the percentage of us having children was 3%! And of course I asked, “3% out of 100%, or 3 out of 10??”. 3% out of 100% was the answer we received. After many discussions considering IVF, adoption or accepting that we wouldn’t have children, we decided to begin treatment with Dr. Perloe. I will never forget Dr. P saying, “you will not leave my care until you are pregnant!”. His "bedside manner" is amazing; that of a friend, not just a doctor! Well, he made good on his word! In March 2014, we welcomed our girl/boy twins into the world! We never knew life could be so much more amazing than it already was! Many thanks go out to Dr. Perloe and the staff at GRS. They are ALL so nice and welcoming.. we actually enjoyed our doctor visits each time! I highly recommend this practice to anyone.VIEW MORE »VIEW LESS »
My husband and I had an amazing experience at GRS under the incredible care of Dr. Perloe and his amazing nursing staff. Dr. Perloe's expertise and knowledge of the latest research in fertility treatments provided us great comfort and reassurance during an emotional and stressful experience of trying to conceive. His sweet nurses (Jacquiline and Yolanda) were always there to answer questions about medication schedules, explain genetic test results, laugh with us or lend a tissue and hug when the hormones got the best of me. They are an incredible practice and we are so grateful for their help and love. We also are extremely grateful for their commitment to military men and women; the discount they offer to those in the military made our fertility treatments more affordable and provided this as an option for our family. Thank you GRS!
I was diagnosed with unexplained infertility by my OB so my husband and I made an appointment with Dr McCarthy-Keith. During our very first appointment it was clear that she was a very warm and caring person, and a super intelligent and professional physician. She was so thorough in discussing all of our testing and treatment options and patiently answered our hundreds of questions. We are so grateful to have had her as our doctor through this difficult journey to conceive. She always had so much optimism about our situation and that helped to keep our hopes high. I'm now 12 weeks pregnant and the only thing I have to be sad about is not getting to see Dr MK and her staff anymore, as it's time for me to go back to seeing my regular OB.
My husband and I had been trying for over a year to have a baby without and luck. So we decided to visit Dr. Conway in Alpharetta and she made us feel so at ease. She is down to earth, funny, and got us a plan of action when we met her. We went ahead and got the IUI procedure and got pregnant the first time! Yeah!! Her entire staff were so helpful and professional. We will be back for our second child!!!!
My partner and I had a great experience with GRS and Dr. Kaplan. Dr. Kaplan is sharp,no-nonsense and is an absolute pleasure to work with. My eggs needed a bit of help- Dr. Kaplan put me on a quick and successful fertility treatment plan- I got pregnant 2.5 months after the first time we met-first insemination! The staff is wonderful and I had fun working each of them. My largest advice for others, when working with GRS,is- be nice, be pleasant, and know that every patient has special needs so just relax and be patient if another woman/family needs extra attention. They would give you the same extra time. I saw many patients treat the staff poorly. Your entire experience will be better if you're cool and nice. DON'T STRESS- GRS will take care of you. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!
Dr. Perloe is a miracle worker. My husband and I came to him when we were ready to give up hope. We had been told that donor eggs would be in our future and that looked unavoidable. Thanks to Dr. Perloe and his miraculous team of nurses we succeeded using my own eggs. In fact, we are expecting our twins in the fall. Dr. Perloe, Sheila, Yolanda, and Tracey refused to give up on us, where others would have. GRS is a place where all patients feel like family. I would refer anyone I know to them. Thank you Dr, Perloe and the entire GRS staff!
After several doctors, surgeries, and IUI attempts, I decided to visit GRS and Dr. Perloe. After one visit, I knew I was at the right place. The staff was sincere and caring. Dr. Perloe was kind and straight forward with a definitive plan of action. And 10 months later, I delivered my "miracle" baby. I can also say that anytime I've needed information regarding other health issues that were not within the scope of GRS, the staff have always been fantastic in recommending specialists, etc to see that my needs were met. I truly can say GRS is the "creme de la creme". Best decision I ever made.
In the early 1990's I began to see Dr. Perloe for treatment of PCO. I had dreams of having children but little hope. Back in those days, PCO was just about a hopeless case for having children. Dr. Perloe gave me hope, support and comfort. I often say if you want to know if God has a sense of humor tell him that you want to get pregnant just one time! I can imagine him smiling down on me and saying okay have it your way. You can get pregnant just once but you are going to have three children! I won the lottery February 6, 1996 when my beautiful triplets two boys and one girl were born at 32 weeks pregnant. Dr. Perloe was a constant comfort and a ray of hope to me during many dark days. My children Joshua, Jacob and Janna just celebrated their 16th birthday! It has been a beautiful journey for us and I am forever grateful to Dr. Perloe and his amazing staff in more ways that words can express. I can tell you that Dr. Perloe does this work because he has a passion for practicing medicine and is a gifted physician. Next to the great physician, I think Dr. Perloe has a special place waiting for him in heaven. He is more than a doctor, he is a gifted healer!
After 4yrs of trying to conceive and maintain a pregnancy I fell into the hands of the most loving and caring doctor-DR McCARTHY-KEITH. I started seeing Dr McCarthy sometime in late November. All b/c of her wonderful knowledge, and dedication with my prayer I fell pregnant on my first round of treatment with no iui!! My husband and I were actually making plans for the iui b/c we didn't think the medication would work by itself nor did we expect it to work on the first try. Well now I'm almost 10weeks with a due date of Sept 2012. Dr McCarthy and her team of nurses (Pam & Sherri) is excellent.I can't say enough good things about them. They called round the clock to make sure I was fine and feeling well. What more can you ask for from a doctor and her staff?????
I am so grateful to Dr. Mark Perloe and the staff at Georgia Reproductive Specialists. Dr. Perloe and his nurses, specifically Yolanda and Sheila, are what I consider, the best fertility team around. Together, they work harmoniously to get you through what could easily be one of the most difficult challenges of your life. Dr. Perloe brings a sense of confidence and competence that immediately puts you at ease. From the moment you meet him, you get the immediate feeling that Dr. Perloe knows what he is doing, is up on the latest developments in the field, knows your particular challenges and is ready to formulate a winning plan for your specific situation. Even when I doubted myself and my body’s ability to accomplish the goal, I never doubted Dr. Perloe. Yolanda and Sheila execute his plays with professionalism and compassion that far surpasses the professional/patient relationship. They provide the perfect balance to Dr. Perloe’s intellectual precision as they treat you with so much kindness and care. They talk you though your next treatment when you want to give up, hug you when you want to cry, and celebrate with you, even the smallest victory. Hats off to this remarkable team.
We are extremely grateful that we chose GRS and Dr Perloe as our fertility specialist after interviewing several others. Dr Perloe is very knowledgable, professional, and thorough. Infertility is scary and confusing, but we felt confident with his treatment and now have two healthy babies to his credit! GRS was a pleasure to work with and Dr. Perloe's nurse Sheila is the BEST - and kept us optimistic! We will definitely use Dr Perloe again for any family needs.
The staff members are very professional and treated both my wife and myself with respect. I am truly pleased from the service we received. I would recommend this practice to anyone who has had difficulty getting pregnant.
It's hard to find the words to describe how wonderful the Dr's and staff are at GRS. My husband and I came to GRS for IVF and from the very first day we were there are experience was amazing. The nurses are very kind and compassionate. You feel like an individual and not just a number. Anytime I had a question or concern, they never left me waiting. And not just the nurses, the office staff is just the same. My husand and I feel as though we made friends at GRS. Last but not least, Dr. Perloe is an amazing doctor. We knew what to expect and never left unaware. He made the dream of having a child of our own a reality. I will forever be indebted to GRS. Thank you
I had the privilege of meeting Dr. McCarthy-Keith after my doctor left GRS. Without hesitation I described Dr. McCarthy-Keith to my nurse and told her I wanted Dr. McCarthy-Keith because whenever I saw her in the office she always looked so pleasant. I’m so happy that I chose her... she is a fabulous doctor, a rare find…. She’s warm and caring - the sweetest, most down to earth Doctor you could ever talk to. She truly takes time to listen - intently to your questions and / or concerns and responds thoroughly. Trust me when I tell you, while going through the fertility journey you’d want to deal with a Doctor that has as much knowledge and compassion as Dr. McCarthy-Keith. I unequivocally highly recommend her!
I first went into their office afraid, confused and to be honest a little embarassed for even needing their help. It became very apparent after meeting Dr. D. McCarthy-Keith that I was in very capable and caring hands. She took a considerable amount of time with DH and I explaining what we should expect step by step. She answered our questions thoroughly and completely. Her entire support staff is amazing- true professionals. Everyone was friendly and genuine. The fee charts were very transparent, so we didn't encounter any surprise or hidden fees. Ok...let me get to the exciting news. We're pregnant and expecting our angel in July 2012! I pray that my DH and I don't need any further assistance getting pregnant again, but if we do GRS is the only place we will consider. I can't imagine a better place to go. Thank you and God bless GRS and the entire staff. Dr. McCarthy-Keith...YOU ROCK!!! We will forever be grateful.
I want the LGBT community to know about the wonderful experience we had at GRS. This office is staffed by friendly, encouraging folks that support all people who want to be parents and require assistance. Through the entire process my partner and I felt very comfortable and experienced a tremendous amount of support from, literally, all of the staff. I am most familiar with Dr. Kaplan and her team who I came to know so well, and they are wonderful people. But you also come to know the faces of staff from other teams that always seem to smile at you when they walk by you in the waiting room. It's a good place. We appreciate them so much, and thank them all very much for helping us to conceive.
When I didn't have a period for 6 straight months after going off birth control, my OB referred me to another reproductive specialist in Atlanta. That experience was a nightmare. I felt like no one listened to me, they just put me in their "standard process" of try this, if this doesn't work, try that. Before I knew it, I was on all sorts of drugs, with no explanation as to the side effects or possible long-term effects. Scared, and no where closer to pregnancy, after about 3 months of treatment I decided to go to an acupuncturist and try a more natural route. My acupuncturist recommended I see Dr. Perloe based on my symptoms (which were somewhat PCOS-like, and is his specialty), and the experience has been great. He was always up-front about the facts and what he was thinking in terms of my treatment plan. He listened to me, including when I would come into his office with my own research and information. I felt like a person - a specific person, with a specific problem - for whom he created a specific plan. I never felt forced into any decisions, and they let me proceed at my own pace with the information they provided. My only complaint would be that I still don't actually know what my "official" diagnosis was, despite a number of different drugs we tried. But in the end, my periods returned and after 2 years of frustration I'm 10 weeks pregnant. I would definitely go back if necessary for a second pregnancy.
