Reliable Heating & Air sells Energy Star rated equipment and recycles several tons of metal, steel, aluminum, copper, and cardboard each week. All r-22 (Freon) is recovered and turned into an EPA reclamation facility. All new equipment we sell and install uses the environmentally friendly refrigerant R410a. Our technicians are EPA certified and trained in the proper handling and disposal of the HCFC R-22 (Freon).
We used a different company but felt like they were constantly trying to up sell with products and services. It got very frustrating and we felt like we could not trust them. My sister in law uses... Reliable so we decided to as well and I am really happy we did. We got an email letting us know our technician was on the way and a phone call as well, which is very nice as we have dogs and needed to put them up. Lawrence Overstreet was our technician as well as Kenneth Lee. They were both super friendly and talked to us about our system and the ducts. I really felt like I could trust them. They were knowledgeable and very helpful in deciding our future course of action. I will absolutely use Reliable again as well as recommend them to friends. Home has dual units and the upper level needed to be replaced. Received quotes from a couple of companies and selected Reliable based on price and equipment. Installation was performed on one day and insulation added on another. Previous system did poor job of cooling bonus room above garage. Proposal included reworking ductwork and adding insulation. Results have been great and I have even turned up the thermostat as it was too cool. Would definitely recommend this company.

We purchased a system a couple of years ago.The service has been lousy. They never come out to do the twice annual services. We had had installation problems.I totally regret my decision to have chosen this company for my HVAC needs.Their real name should be UNRELIABLE!

Run from these scam artists. They promise the world and deliver nothing. 15+ K dollars for new systems that are going out one by one in less then a year. Left on hold 30 minutes and told it may be days before they can get out and if you use another company for an emergency it voids your warranty. Dufus 1 and dufus 2 should stop making commercials and do decent work and stop ripping people off. I am planning to sue them.
I apologize you experienced problems with your systems. The last year and a half have been trying in the air conditioning business. We are normally very busy in the summer with problems, but starting in late 2013, all air conditioner manufacturers starting experiencing problems with oil that is installed in all air conditioners, regardless of brand. This oil is intended to stop rust inside an air conditioner compressor but it had the unintended effect of causing a component to stick open bringing less than perfect cooling. Since we work an all brands and types of air conditioners, this sticking valve has reeked havoc on our schedule. The industry did not realize what was causing these issues until late 2014. At Reliable, we have performed over 18,000 service calls during this time period in an effort to fix all these sticking valves. This oil is no longer used in air conditioners, but we are still feeling the effect of this as we unstick or replace all these valves. This problem is shared by all manufacturers of air conditioners as they all shared this oil with rust inhibitor. This problem has caused long delays in providing service to our customers as we are staffed for our normal work load and normally experience with less than one half of one percent of all new air conditioners. The valves were sticking on 10% of all new air conditioners resulting in a huge work load for us and all air conditioning companies. If you will call Mark Wall and give him your information, he will be glad to make sure you are repaired as quickly as possible and not make to wait any longer. I bought a new A/C system from Reliable just 2 years ago. I have paid extra for them to check it each year since. That was supposed to give me even better service should I need it. Well it ain't working after 2 years, and there is NO service at all. Seems that they would rather taking paying customers than those that have a warranty! They told me when I bought it that I'd have this great 10 year warranty, and lifetime if I kept paying for the extra yearly checkup - but what good is that if they won't come help you when you need it. They told me they have 24-hour service, but now they say that means someone is always answering the phone, not actually working for you. They told me they had weekend and night service, but apparently I'm not an emergency since I bought 2 systems from them and 1 is still working. I really get that others are worse off, so I've tried to be patient, but so far I have ZERO from them after a week! They said they would get to me within 72 hours, or I could have an appt for a week later - I said the 72 hour sounded best, but its been far longer now, more than twice that, and nothing. Do NOT believe them when they talk about service - you will get none. I could easily pay to get anyone else to help, but then my warranty would be invalidated - no one wants to help you when its just a warranty since they won't be getting any more money!
Please accept our apologies for the time it has taken to get a technician to your home. We are experiencing an longer than normal wait time due to a problem the entire air conditioning community is having with product recalls and sticking TXV valves. We are working very hard to service customers who are experiencing problems and we do not put our warranty customers behind other calls. We take this long wait time very personally and will gladly have temp cooling deliver and installed in your home while you are not cooling. We called on Tuesday morning as our air conditioning had failed. We were told that Reliable was too busy to service us and were put on a waiting list. In previous service calls, we have never been told that. We indicated that the best time for our schedule would be Thursday or Friday if it could not be sooner. There was no communication from Reliable at all. On Thursday evening, my wife called to check when we would be scheduled for an appointment. She was told we could have gotten a Tuesday appointment (which was never indicated when we called on Tuesday) but that Reliable was still too busy to give us an appointment. We are still on a standby list with no idea when we may get to see a technician. Does this make me ever want to use Reliable? No, because I could be on the list forever. Not giving an idea of an appointment is a sign of a poorly managed company and operation. UnReliable has lost a customer that has spent $XXXX with them in the past.
Normally the heat comes on in stages and gives us a chance to service all our customers, but this year it hit us hard all at once. Starting a week ago, we experienced high call volume and decided to go to an emergency standby list that allowed us to serve as many customers as possible by cutting down on travel times. Our goal is to get to you as quickly as possible by creating an emergency standby; this enables our technicians to run more calls by dispatching in close proximity. I made an appt. to have my AC serviced a week ago, the appt. was scheduled for yesterday. When it became 5 pm and no service, I thought I was stood up. At 7 pm, the truck pulled in and the technician was apologetic that it was so late. He gave the outside/inside the much needed attention that was required, very professional & courteous. Explained everything in lay-mans terms and service was under $80. Reliable Heating and Air..you now have a customer for life!!! Heidi Smyrna GA
One of the worst companies I have ever worked with. The customer service and management are awful. They damaged two floors of our house with their (admitted) negligence and then took three months of dragging feet to repair the damages. After this our air conditioning went out and they said "there is no promise anyone will be out to fix the issue'. This is despite having a ten year contract and being up to date on our 'maintenance contract'. Atlanta Air Care has far better reviews and I am sure quite better customer service. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else for service.
Thank you for your feedback and comments as we can't get better without knowing what we are doing wrong. If a system we installs leaks water and damages a floor or wall we always stand behind it and repair. If a unit is over a year old and a drain line clogs due to lack of routine service, this is not covered by our 10 year parts and labor warranty and a customers homeowners insurance takes care of these leak repairs. If we have done the service and a leak occurs, which sometimes happens, we always do the repair. I can't address your concerns about how long the repair took, since here on Kudzu, we never know a customers name. We have our own sheetrock person on retainer and they normally do a repair right away and have it painted quickly, so I am not sure why it did take a long time to get done. I am going to assume there was an issue of what or how it happened. I am glad we got the repair fixed to your satisfaction. I apologize your air conditioner stopped cooling, but just like any appliance, air conditioners can break and I personally hate when this happens. We provide temp cooling for our customers or, if they prefer, we will put them in a hotel while the units are repaired. I never want anyone to be hot and I will do what I can to ease this pain. We offer a computer that installs on our customers air conditioners and this computer monitors all components of an HVAC system and sends us reports 24/7 if anything goes wrong or if anything is going to break, so we can actually fix a unit before it leaves a customer without heating or cooling. All we need is an internet connection in the home and we can be proactive in repairing a system and also measure the efficiency of a system. Should anything start to go awry, the computer will send us an email along with notifying you of the potential problem. Almost all HVAC systems that break will give a warning sign ahead of an actual failure allowing Reliable to arrive at a home with the parts and replace it before you have a no cooling or no heating problem. No other company in Georgia has this system and I will provide you with this computer system free of charge and you will never have to worry about a breakdown again! 97 degree heat, I had no air. Reliable had me covered with a great system, great price, and FANTASTIC service. Beau Manley and assistant did a FANTASTIC job of getting me up to code and installing new units after my 28 year old unit died! I am now cool and owe it all to the great service of Reliable Htg and Air!
My elderly father recently needed a replacement a/c unit at his house. Techs Chuck Kiser and Johnny Jones worked tirelessly in the heat to get the job done. They did a great job. They were friendly and easy to work with. Chuck explained the necessary information we needed to know. The price was good as well. Thanks, guys, it sure made things cooler for us.
