Air conditioner was failing after 25 years. Service Technician came out the same day that I called ( a Thursday) , and gave me options to patch and fix it, or replace the unit. The repair would be... around $600, and the replacement $5200. I felt that after 25 years, my money would best be spent on replacing the unit. That evening, the rep for replacing the unit called me, discussed the options, and sent me an estimate minutes later. It was quite reasonable, and I ok'ed the replacement. He then sent me an email letting me know it would be done on Tuesday. On Tuesday morning, the service technician called me to let me know he was on his way, and was there within 20 minutes. They did the work throughout the day, and let me know when they were done. They had to call a plumber in to cut a water pipe to get the old unit out (it's a very tight service closet), and them repair the pipe, and they did it at no extra charge! I was very pleased with the quality, speed and professionalism, and will definitely use them again for my A/C and plumbing needs.VIEW MORE »VIEW LESS »
Estes repaired my neighbor's A/C unit rather than mine. Their tech got the street number wrong. Estes management wanted to know if they waived the $59 svc fee would I keep them. I requested they refund the $149 1-yr service contract fee instead. They refused. Their mistake cost me a day's salary, considerably more than $149. We all make mistakes, but Estes doesn't stand behind its work. I guess they really don't need our business.

We always stand behind our work and we never shy away from taking responsibility. Friday morning we went to the wrong address and knocked on the door. Our tech introduced himself and said he was there to take a look at the A/C system. Unbelieveably, the homeowner let our tech in and allowed him to start his work even though they are not an Estes' customer and did not call for service. Only later did we find out that this was the wrong address. Sure it was our fault that we went to the wrong address, however, this was an incredibly unique situtation. By the time we discovered our error it was slightly after the promised window from 8-10am so we tried to work with this homeowner and we agreed to waive the $59 service call. This was not acceptable and she wanted the service call waived plus a free one year service agreement at $149 totalling $208. Again, we made a mistake and we went to the wrong address, however, I do not feel that this warrants doing one year of work for free over an honest mistake. Sincerely, Joel Heller Service Team Leader

Requested a refund on unused portions od HVAC & PLUMBING SERVICE AGREEMENTS due to perceived overcharges for work performed. I suggest grtting competitive quotes before using this firm.

Quoted me $1000 to do 2 hours of labor. The part is covered under warranty by Amana. Unreal. This was to replace a heat exchanger, so do the math on a zero cost part + a few hours of labor. This used to be a reputable company.
Met with the Estes salesman(Chase)on Monday of this week. He went through my home examining my current configuration and quoted me on what I asked for and what he suggested. He explained the differences and options for the two different systems and answered all of my questions at the time. After leaving, other questions came to mind and were answered with a simple phone call. After reviewing the 5 quotes I received from other companies, I awarded the job to Estes. The quote from Estes was not the cheapest that I had received, however I felt that I would get value for my dollar in the long run. The install date was set and I received a call the day before informing me when the install crew would be out. The following morning, the install crew consisting of David and Ryan arrived as promised, introduced themselves, looked over the job to be done and proceeded the installation with their knowledge, expertise and professionalism. They only encountered one minor problem which they quickly overcame with the support of the Estes home base. Approximately 5 1/2 hours after pulling into my driveway, they had removed my old equipment, replaced it with a Infinity System, gave me basic instructions on how the equipment works, and left my home in as good if not better shape then they had found it. Ryan and David are a credit to the Estes company. Seeing how this is my first piece of Carrier equipment in my home, the verdict is still out on that issue. So far, so good. No regrets
Yesterday Josh B and Marcus E replaced our 15 year old system. They arrived on time, explained what they were going to do, and for the next eight hours they did not stop. After completion our home was cleaned and the new system was explained..what professionals. Today, Michael Eagle and Philip Kebe sealed and added insulation to our attic. They arrived on time, explained what they were going to do. About seven hours later the job was completed. Again totally professional. From my first dealing ever with Estes through completion, I can not say enough positive about the company and their personnel and quality of work. Thank you Estes Air....what a pleasure it was dealing with you company.
two different ac techs did shoddy work. one did not clean the outside ac unit that had a serious dog hair problem another did not do a maintenance check on an outside heat pump because it was raining. I called him on it but do not want to have to police people I am paying good money too.
I would love to discuss this situation to you and if we have made an error we will absolutely make it right. We pride ourselves on our quality and I need to know some more information so we can address this with our technician. Under normal circumstances, if weather keeps us from doing what we need to on the outdoor unit the technician is supposed to tell you that he needs to reschedule the appointment to return and complete the work. The fear of replacing my a/c was put to rest when Mr Jackson(Salesperson)sat down and went over my needs in detail, then the install guys(Arron and James) came and were in and out in a very short time. They were professional and clean. Now my upstairs feels like the Antartic. I have 2 other units to replace. I already know who I'm calling!

After getting multiple estimates for my HVAC replacement, I went with Estes, I chose them for their honesty (Brandon) my salesman and because i have used them in the past to repair my old system, I highly recommend them. The new install is extremely clean and neat, just as i had asked for.. Great job Estes.. I went with the Greenspeed Carrier unit, and so far very cold air..

Unfortunately I have a dinosaur of an ac system. I have been praying that it would last just another summer. Well, it stopped on a day in the high 80s. I knew I needed to buy a new system, but I have just put it off a little longer. I have used a "friend's" company and now I am regretting that decision. I called several AC companies and Estes was the only one that could come the next day. I work 60 miles from my house, and although Evan was ready to come to my house, he was nice enough to put me last on his list in order to give me time to get home from work. Evan was extremely professional, knowledgeable, and courteous. He explained what he was going to look for, what he could do to fix my situation, and what the cost would be. The maintenance fee is such a great deal with the guarantee of two visits to maintain the equipment and efficiency of the system. He never seemed rushed or impatient with the dinosaur system. He gave me good advice on replacing the current registers with high velocity ones. I have been very impressed with the customer service people on the phone when scheduling Evan's visit. I know I need a new system, and I have already asked Evan to arrange for Chase to give me an estimate after looking at my current situation. I do not mind paying for a system, if I know who is doing the job knows what they are doing. I may have been scammed a little by the previous AC company; however, I am confident and certain Estes will do a superior job.
Our regular technician Hank has always given us the straight scoop. Our new system install was quick and clean and with good instruction.
Install of full upstairs furnace and AC systems plus downstairs AC and coil in one day. Best service I have ever had. I cannot say enough good things about Aaron and James. I would recommend them to anyone!!!

Very poor experience with Estes and their installation of home automation at my house. They left the initial install with it not working... failed to follow up (or even seem to care). They offered excuses and pointing blame everywhere else.. but never made efforts to actually correct all the problems. I even offered to pay for an experienced installer and they declined. So after major $$ outlay.. I have REALLY expensive light switches that do exactly the same as the $1 version. Thanks Estes! Wish I never knew ya
Estes is a standup company and we accept full responsibility for the performance our products and services and the satisfaction of our customers. The issues this customer is referring to are completely 100% out of our control. Our involvement in this situation is simply we were contracted to install light switches to tie into a third party's existing automation control. The automation control provided by the third party is not operating as it should and connecting to the light switches (nor the door locks installed by a completely different contractor). We have attempted to reach out to the third party for assistance to get the issue resolved for our customer and we have been unsuccessful. After researching many local HVAC companies I chose to have Estes install a new furnace. The Estes salesman wrote a proposal for a two stage furnace. I did a search online and discovered that no furnace with the given item number existed. I contacted the salesman for clarification and was told that he thought I was talking about a two stage blower. We never discussed a two stage blower. I also learned that the size of the furnace was much smaller than the unit that I currently have. When I contacted his sales manager, he defended the misrepresentation as an error. The manager verbally committed to honoring the initial price for an actual two stage furnace. He wanted to schedule the installation, but had not given me a proposal reflecting the equipment and price. This was on a Friday, but I was told that I needed to wait until Monday. I emailed my concerns of having to wait two days to the owner of Estes. He responded that it was just a confusion and they would get me a revised proposal. I responded that I would review the proposal and consider my options. I also shared that I don’t believe that this is the first time this has happened with Estes. He retaliated by stating that he was not pleased with my “insinuation” that Estes had mislead its clients and he withdrew the proposal. I found Estes to be unsupportive even with my documentation proving that I was knowingly misled.

Estes Heating and Air Conditioning is not perfect and mistakes are made. In this case we did put the wrong model number on the proposal. When this customer called us to inform us of the error we did everything possible to correct our error, including honoring our price for the mis quoted furnace even though the furnace he wanted was more expensive. The proposal was then resent to the homeowner over the weekend for his review and so we could order the proper furnace and have it in stock for his installation. Unfortunately no matter what we did to correct the isue the homeonwer was never going to be satisfied so that is when we decided that it would be in both parties best interest for Estes to walk away from the job and let the homeowner have another contractor perform the work.
