All r-22 (Freon) is recovered and turned into an EPA reclamation facility. All new equipment we sell and install uses the environmentally friendly refrigerant R410a. Fast and Professional, 11/23/2014

I recently had a heating system go out right before the first cold snap of the year. Reliable was fast and professional from the start. They were able to get Woo over for initial troubleshooting... the same day, and once he determined a system replacement would be most economical he immediately got Tim on the phone during his off time to schedule a sales consultation the next morning. Tim quickly provided the most cost effective recommendation without any high pressure salesmanship, and was able to schedule the install for the next day. Jason and Chuck quickly and professionally got the new systems installed and when completed it was as if no one had even been at the house. All in all Reliable provided great value very quickly, and was exceptionally easy to work with.

These guys are great!

So I continue to call Lee Cook, my sales guy for service although he has already sold me the system. Yet, he always returns my calls. This time about a new thermostat. So Ezekiel Cobb came out to install my new Trane wifi thermostat. When Zeke was finished, I asked him to check my system as the inside temp was warm all week. He got it cool but said he thought it might be my breaker. Then Jake Arthur came the very next morning to indeed track it to a burnt out breaker. Quick fix and I am good. Then of course Atlanta crazy weather and thermostat is disconnected because of storm hit. But Chris Graham is on the case right now and I am good to go again. He reset the wifi and my daily temp schedule. Reliable has the most professional, courteous and pleasant service personnel. They answer all my questions and I usually have a lot. And I appreciate that as much as the service! Thank you, guys!

Great Value and Great Service! AAA+

Recently had a New Furnace and AC Unit installed in my home. Not only did Reliable offer the best consultation(Thanks Forest!) and value quote of the three companies I had come out, I also received best in class service. Marty, Jason, Matt, and Josh worked extremely hard all day and into the early evening to get a difficult install job done. Even at 630PM, they made sure that the work area was cleaner than when they arrived and also took the time to walk me through the ins and outs of the new system. Many thanks and will certainly use Reliable in the future for all my HVAC needs.

These Guys are Great!!!!

Just had my new AC and furnace units installed. The amazing team of Kevin George, Ryan Otwell, Lee Bass, Mark Chappel and Brandon Qualls did an absolutly outstanding job. Friendly, informative and top notch professionals. Answered all my questions. Clean job....do not call anyone else.....Relaible is the only way to go. I was a previous Universal customer.

Great company!!

Had Reliable out to make a minor adjustment to my new A/C unit. The operator, Chris Hamrick, called me two hours earlier than planned to see if he could come and was sitting in my driveway waiting for me!!! He knew exactly what the problem was and told me what to look out for in the future!!! Another great experience with this company!!!

An aweful experiance from installation to Checkup

This review is late coming, but we tried to get a checkup of our units and Reliable has jerked us around again. In 2010, we purchased 2 units from Reliable. 1 upstairs, 1 downstairs. Their sales person messed the quote up many times. Once we got it straightened out, they installed the wrong unit Downstairs. We had to staighten that out. They finally put the correct unit down stairs. It required an exhaust pipe (May not be correct term-it is High efficiency unit). They cut a Huge square hole in the side of the house for a round pipe. They put 2 inches of Silicon around it. They installed my upstairs unit. They punctured the system so the Freon (Whatever is the Cooling agent) leaked out. We had to call them back to fix it. We replaced the upstairs unit because of a Freon leak. We did not discover that reliable had messed up until the next day. The system was blowing hot air within an hour of them leaving. 6 weeks ago we scheduled a checkup for today (Hoped they would be better). My wife was told between 2 and 5. They did not show so she called. She was told that they do between 2 and 9PM. You have to cancel a whole day. They will never set foot in my home again. Dan Jape fixed the Side up my house after I spoke to him personally. We are done with them. I wish I had not scheduled the service with them.

Reliable Heating Air Plumbing & Electric replied on 08-04-2014

I do apologize the scheduling system was not explained to you better on our side. We do not give a dedicated time on regular tune ups and maintenance as it is impossible to judge the amount of time the jobs scheduled ahead of yours will take and we do not want you sitting at home waiting on the tech to arrive. Instead, we have an automatic system that is set up to send you an email with a picture of the tech coming to your home and give a one hour notice to allow you to go about your day and then come home to meet the technician. I do not know why this was not explained to you at the time you booked your appointment. I am going to track down the customer service rep that booked your call and see what went wrong with this very convenient, automated system. I am glad any original hiccups experienced on the original install were fixed to your likely. Some people are surprised to see the new high efficient furnaces flue pipes come through the wall of their home. These are two pieces of three inch PVC sticking out the exterior wall and they have steam coming from them in the winter/fall. Please remember the new systems we installed have a 10 year parts and labor warranty included in your purchase price and if you continue to have regular service performed for the full ten years, you will receive a full coverage warranty for each additional year of service performed. The only way to void this long warranty is to have service performed by another contractor. The 10 year parts warranty can be transferred to any authorized Trane dealer, but not the labor warranty. I hope you will give the routine service department a chance to perform regular checkups and I will extend this service two additional years at no charge as to help compensate for the aggravation we caused by not explaining the scheduling system properly. Total Quality Even In An Emergency

2nd unit installed in spring just experienced a leak in the attic and water damage is visible in the drywall ceiling. I placed an emergency call and a technician arrived in less than 30 minutes and fixed the leak. This was last Friday. It is the following Wednesday and Micky the handy-man just left after repairing the ceilings that were damaged. They look perfect! Reliable has installed 2 new systems for me over the years and my recent emergency makes me very glad they are my HVAC go to team!

Disappointing

I called because of water in my basement near my furnace/AC unit. After 4 visits and more than $200 they sent a plumber. The plumber quoted me a price on the phone, then gave a different number on the printed quote. I did not notice (my fault), but now I am out $350. No apology from Reliable. The worst thing they did was charge my credit card without calling me. I spoke with their billing department prior to work being scheduled and was assured that nothing would be charged without my approval. They charged over $2000 on my card without authorization, and without giving me the opportunity to inspect their work. Bushleauge! Beware!

I think the best answer to your review is to simply post the emails you sent and the responses sent to you. Our plumbing manager offered to refund the $350 that you mentioned you did not read on the proposal, but you hung up on him before you gave an answer. I do appreciate you giving us 3 stars in "quality of work" but apologize you were not pleased about losing the ability to "fight" us over the charge.
Our plumbing managers response: I am very sorry about the confusion on the payment for the work we did at your rental home in Doraville, GA. If you wish us to credit the money back to your credit card we will be happy to do that. I made the assumption that it was ok to charge the credit card once you gave me permission to do the work. I assure you that we would not have charged your card for more money you had approved. If you wish to change your payment method please give me a call at 770-780-3510 and we can work out how you wish to pay for this work. Thanks John
Your response back to our manager: I do not want to change the payment method. I wanted the ability to judge the quality of work before paying for it. When I did not receive a phone call, I lost the ability to fight the over charge. I was simply charged and there is nothing I can do. You told me it would be $2200 and I asked you directly if that $350 would come out of it. You can deny it all you want, but we discussed it on the phone, and I feel cheated. I will absolutely be leaving reviews of my experience on every social media outlet I can find.
Plumbing managerís response:As for the quality of work, You have a one year warranty on the repairs we made and we will honor it. As for our conversations we do have differences. Before I sent you the proposal I review what was in it with you. I told you that the cost would be $2550 and that if you accepted the proposal with in the next 30 days that we would take the cost of the camera off. You said at that time that you did not have $2200. That you were expecting a check from your boss and that you would call when you had the money. You requested that I not discuss this with your renter. I did not discuss anything with your renter. You call me the following week and told me to go forward with the $2200 job. I am very sorry for any misunderstanding. I try to avoid these types of issues by putting agreements in writing.

Totally Satisfied

Our service call for AC repair was handled very professionally from the customer service person to one follow up call from schedule question. Then Technician Henry Lawrence. He literally diagnosed the problem (bad capacitor) and fixed in less than 10 minutes. He too was very professional and confident in speech and action. I will definitely use them again. I paid a reasonable price and received an email receipt within minutes

Prompt, RELIABLE, and efficient service

Reliable Heating & Air came out today to fix an electrical issue at my house. The technician, Allen Patrick, called me about 30 minutes prior to arriving at my home to let me know that he was on his way. When he arrived, he quickly assessed the problem, explained my options and the cost of the service, and promptly fixed the issue. He was friendly and professional and was able to resolve my issue quickly. Allen provided outstanding customer service and I really appreciate that. Reliable Heating & Air is a company that I will definitely use again and highly recommend to others.
