Reliable Heating & Air sells Energy Star rated equipment and recycles several tons of metal, steel, aluminum, copper, and cardboard each week. All r-22 (Freon) is recovered and turned into an EPA reclamation facility. All new equipment we sell and install uses the environmentally friendly refrigerant R410a. Our technicians are EPA certified and trained in the proper handling and disposal of the HCFC R-22 (Freon).
David & Lee cleaned my ducts after a new HVAC install. Early arrival, Professional Guys, quick service, A++++++
Lawrence Overstreet did a great job and was very helpful! He explained everything in great detail and answered all of my questions
Contacted Reliable Heating & Air on Tuesday morning tech came out that same evening, outside unit threw a fan blade & possibly burned out the compressor. Called Wednesday morning to set up an estimate for new system. Lee Cook came out and inspected our old system then explained what the minimum equipment that would be needed to be replaced. He explained different options from questions we had asked, then we decided on the Trane XR13 high efficiency 3 ton all aluminum coil Air conditioner and XV80% afue BTU variable speed gas furnace. Initially would not be able to install new system until Sat. Lee called that evening evening and said they had a cancellation and would be out Friday morning at 9am. Lee Bass & Brandon Qualls came out to install our new system. They had the new system installed by 5pm. We could not be happier with Lee Cook for explaining the different system combinations and the installers Lee Bass & Brandon Qualls for putting in the system checking it out and cleaning up after. Plus we get our $89.00 service call fee refunded to us. John & Sherri
We wish to thank Technicians Torri and Donnie for the terrific job they did installing our new A/C Condenser Unit and Coil replacement. Throughout the day we never had to question anything they were doing, and they went about their responsibilities in a very professional manner, in line with the quality that one has expected over the years from Reliable Heating & Air. Sheila & Aaron Stieglitz
Reliables technician did not inspect our unit and just added coolant. Another Company came out and found the problem after an inspection. Reliable added too much coolant and their "customer no service" dept. was no help. THEY DO NOT CARE about service. Everyone you know should avoid Reliable (funny company name)
The customer service rep informed me she looked into your complaint and refunded the $200 service call fee and charge for Freon. I am glad she was able to help. It does take an hour or two for someone to research the details of a complaint and I apologize she did not respond faster, but a couple of hours is normal for a response. Thank you for your business.
I called them expecting to have a quick fix on my AC earlier this summer (perhaps load some more freon as it was not blowing cold air). Tech came and told me that outside unit is irreparable and needs to be replaced. Tech said that it was no use loading more freon because it would leak out in a matter of days (not even a week!) I wasn't ready to replace my unit so I called another company (this time referred to by my neighbor who owns a small restaurant - Pat's Heating and Air). He checked my unit and he loaded freon and told me to call him if unit stops blowing cold air. Here it is, we are approaching the end of summer and my AC is still going strong. Reliable doesn't really care for their customer or prospective customer as they are pretty much covered for you pay them just to check your unit ($85.00) With Pat, I paid him $260.00 to load freon and check my unit while Reliable quoted me 2 or 3 times the amount I paid Pat and told me that freon would leak out in a matter of days. Bottom line, go by word of mouth - ask neighbors and friends. Reliable tech didn't stay long and ran off with my $85.00 - that was the easiest $85.00. I wonder how many of these $85.00 house calls does 1 tech have in a day?? Cha-chinggg!!
When a unit has a Freon leak, it never fixes itself. We are in a "no win" situation on leaky units and many times in the past when we simply filled up a leaky unit, a customer would get very angry when the Freon leaks out and they have wasted their money. Your unit will stop cooling and you will have simply avoiding fixing the issue. We offer the customer the choice of filling up a leaky unit or replacing the unit as there is no fixing a leaking Freon a/c unit. Nobody knows how soon a unit will leak just like nobody know how soon a car tire will leak out when their is a leak. I apologize you felt the tech misled you and will gladly refund your $85 dollars if you feel like he did not properly diagnosis your problem, which was a Freon leak. The day you turn on your a/c and you have no cooling, you will realize he was truthful. We are very careful about simply putting hundreds of dollars of Freon in a leaking unit due to being attacked here by others for wasting their money on a gas that will be gone. We do care for our customers with a passion and it is simply a case of someone not liking the reality of the fact they need a new system when it leaks. Many times, we are simply the bearer of the bad news no one wants to get and the customer takes that frustration out on the messenger. Freon is quickly being phased out by the EPA and is going up in price every month. Thank you for your feedback. Dan Jape, owner
I wanted to thank both Nick, Sales Rep and Jason Thomason, Technician and his assistant Jason for great service. My A/C finally broke down during the heatwave in July. I am a repeat customer having purchased a furnace a couple of years ago. Since I had a previous estimate earlier this year, within 2 hours of my 1st call Nick set me up with window units until the job was completed 2 days later. I could not have asked for faster service and experienced technicians.
Terribly unprofessional, disorganized, and rude. While some of their employees are very nice, technicians like Kevin ruin for the good ones. The don't always call when they are coming. They won't speak to tenants about problems that concern them. They don't communicate effectively with the owners of the property. They break things without telling you. They turn off gas without turning it back on. They will only work with you if you get very upset with them. Avoid these people.
I found out today after I answered your review that you are, in fact, the tenant and not the landlord. We are directed by most landlords to not discuss the details of any work we are hired by to perform. Property managers and landlords prefer we do not involve the tenant as tenants are not authorized to make decisions on repairs or problems. I apologize this is the way we are required to deal with a tenant, but we respect the person's request that actually owns the property we are working on. The only reason we turn off gas to a furnace is when we find an unsafe condition and we are required to red tag an appliance that can harm or injure the occupant. If you get your land lord to authorize the release of information regarding his property, we will be glad to consult with you just like any other customer. Kevin is under strict orders not to discuss the details of rental property by the owners, which makes sense if you think about it. Dan Jape, owner
I purchased a top of the line Trane furnace and blower from these guys in November. When summer rolled around we went to turn on the AC and nothing happened. I called them back out and they said they thought it was a wiring issue that they did not know how to fix (the system was too new). I had an electrician come out and fix that. 3 weeks later the system started giving a communications error message and the AC stopped working again. I called them back out. 9 (un)Reliable technicians, 1 Trane expert, and 2 months later I final have my AC back on. (un)Reliable advertises 100% satisfaction or your money back. I have asked for my money back to no avail. They will not hold up to their warrantee, to their promise. They misdiagnosed my issue for 2 months, all while never communicating with me, I had to call them to get anything to happen. Please be aware of this awful company, I would not want my worst enemy to be treated the way they have treated me and my family!
I do apologize you had issues with your furnace, but you will continue to have problems until you arrange to stop the water from leaking down on the electronic circuit boards and wiring in the new furnace. The water comes from your old a/c system condensate drain and the service tech informed you of this problem months ago. You purchased only a furnace and your believe that the water is from the furnace is just wrong. A furnace produces no water in the summer. Any water in furnace falls down from the 20 year old a/c cooling coil on top of it. We have come out numerous times and added Freon to your leaky air conditioner without charging you and the techs came out and found the bad wire all in an effort to make you happy but we were not hired to work on your a/c. You told our tech you would replace your own wire to your old a/c system. We have also made numerous trips due to water in the drain pan that is coming from your a/c and had nothing to do with the furnace that heats you in the winter. Trane provided the parts damaged by the water leaks but will not continue to honor the warranty if the water leaks are not fixed. Our warranty is "100% customer satisfaction" and we have made many trips helping you with a/c problem all at not charge trying to achieve this. We also provided loaner temp a/c units all in a attempt to please, but you are going to have to make an effort by replacing your old leaky a/c system.
Lawrence Overstreet did a great job on the 6 month service on our 3 Trane dual fuel systems. Top Notch!!
I just felt the need to share my experience about this company (Reliable) and the technician that was sent to my home to service my HVAC unit. I had a young man, Miguel (Mike) Espino, who was the most courteous, professional, and knowledgeable technician that I have ever worked with. He explained everything he was doing and patiently answered every question I had. I was so impressed by his level of service that I will surely only use Reliable for any future needs and will refer on to anyone else with the need for their service. Technicians like Mike are a credit to the organization.
On Aug. 11th I had a routine check of my air conditioning system done by Reliable Air. The Reliable Tech was Lawrence Overstreet. He was personable, prompt, professional, and courteous and did a good job. Ė Canít ask for more than that.
Jake and Chad worked for hours tracking a bad circuit. They pulled and checked nearly a dozen fixtures and outlets. They ended up replacing a breaker and we are very pleased with their efforts.
We had a new electrical panel installed by Justin and Chris from this company. They were professional, courteous and everything works great! Justin even took time to help me figure out another electrical issue we were having....at no charge. Very nice young men and I would recommend this company to anyone.
Had Lawrence Overstreet. This guy is very knowledgeable, friendly, and thorough. Overall this was excellent service, thanks!
I have the maintenance plan with the company and they come out twice a year. Today I was pleasantly surprised by my technician. He was a very knowledgable young man named William Minor. It was hot and humid outside but he was very pleasant and took time to answer all of my questions. Reliable keep hiring folks like this young man. He is an asset to any organization.
We have used Reliable twice for electrical service. First, we needed a dedicated 120 outlet with a 20amp breaker installed. Our electrician, Andrew, explained what was needed and gave us the best economical solution. Andrew is an easy going, kind, and thoughtful person and I felt immediately comfortable with him. Once we agreed on the work, he promptly showed the next day at our agreed time and completed the job as asked and on budget. The second time, I asked for Andrew specifically requesting he trouble-shoot a dead kitchen microwave outlet. Andrew took the time to find the issue (two outlets with burnt/loose connections) and make sure everything surrounding the issue was fixed and safe. When so often you worry about service work being completed correctly and at a reasonable price and when you can feel helpless waiting for a service person to show, Andrew the electrician and Reliable are breaths of fresh air. I would recommend him to anyone and will confidently use them again.
Just started my maintenance plan. My tech, William, was very thorough. He walked me through his procedures and didn't skimp on the advertised offerings.
