We offer free woodchips and delivery to your house at no cost. This is a great way to help the environment by recycling the trees we remove into useable, moisture retaining, ground cover...and its free!
Professional dealings, prompt communications, gave a good quote and showed up next business day to take out three diseased pine trees. I told them to not add any expense or trouble to avoid damaging... the yard, and they still left a reasonably small amount of damage - a few divots, but the cleaned up well and did very little damage to adjacent plants (and of course, no damage to the buildings!). I was a bit concerned during my research because this company has some obviously bogus reviews here on Kudzu (mostly around fall of 2012 - about 3.5 years ago) but I see no need to resort to such practice (I suspect they hired a "reputation" consultant with low scruples). They did a great job, quickly and for less than any one of the eight quotes. Only one of those eight were anywhere near as professional, and their quote was basically three times as much (they claimed they needed a crane for one of the trees - Redfern got it safely with a Cherry-picker, saving $$$). I strongly recommend them for tree removal - it still is expensive, but when you see these guys sin action, you see they earn what they charge!VIEW MORE »VIEW LESS »
I needed to have two bradford pears, a river birch, two maple trees, and an oak tree pruned. Redfern's initial quoted price for the work was identical to one of its competitors, but Redfern provided... a 3.00% discount for paying in cash which broke the tie. The crew showed up on time, performed all the work as promised. They had a crew of about six guys and they completed the work in just over an hour. They were thorough in cleaning up all the branches and leaves from the yard and driveway. This is the second time I've used Redfern, and the second time they did an excellent job for me. I plan to use Redfern again in the future, and recommend them without hesitation to anyone who needs tree services.VIEW MORE »VIEW LESS »
Quality work overall but be very, very careful about getting every detail specified in your quote. Amir is very good at making you feel comfortable about the work and then forgetting what they agreed to do. I was short changed and felt overcharged compared to other quotes I received. Their prices are too high compared to the quality of service.

Please note that it states on ALL contracts that stump grinding is not included unless specified in the contract. You were given the contract from the beginning. The tree that you're referring to was taken down free of charge (because you were referred by a family member) and did not include stump grinding. However, when you decided that you wanted to grind the stump (while the crew was there), we sent the stump grinder out. He would have been able to grind it for you but said that he could not accept responsibility for possible damages to the fence because it is old and had to be moved. You then decided not to grind the stump because we couldn't accept responsibility for the fence. I'm sorry mam, but we are not a professional fence company and couldn't accept that risk. Also, we spent a considerable amount of time at your property to remove those large dead trees by your fence-line. We even took extra care to make sure the grass was not damaged, which was also stated in your contract. If you felt that you were short changed, I would hate to see the quality of work from someone who could have done it cheaper.
After several estimates by local tree service companies, we decided that Redfern Tree Service met all of our qualifications. First, we received a prompt estimate. We were impressed with their professional attitude and they answered all of our concerns. We requested to have our 4 oak trees trimmed as soon as possible; they did the job the same week! Their estimate was in line with the other companies and they delivered exactly what they promised: efficient work, professional equipment, and thorough clean up afterwords. Great company, service, and price.

We had 2 large magnolias removed from our backyard. There is very limited access to the back. The crew did a great job of removing the 2 big trees plus 2 smaller ones. They took great care with our deck, patio and out building. Blew the yard, deck, patio and driveway clean when they were finished. We had one small communication problem and Azur took care of it immediately with much apology, even though it wasn't really his fault. The price was very fair. I would definitely recommend this service and will use them again if needed.

After getting several estimates and talking with multiple companies in the area we went with redfern and am so happy we did. They had not only one of the best prices the customer service was the best I've experienced in a long time. Katrina was excellent in returning phone calls and emails and always polite. Amir made me feel at ease and his knowledge was topnotch. Azur was able to quickly schedule us in and they worked hard. The crew itself was professional and courteous. I would hire them again and again and never look elsewhere. Thanks again my yard looks awesome!

Thank you for the great review. We are so happy that you were pleased with the work. It truly was a pleasure doing business with you and if you ever need anything at all, please don't hesitate to give me a call. Thanks again for the great review.
The receptionist was very RUDE both times I spoke with her. I asked for a quote to have some dead limbs removed; was told someone would call - they did not. When I called today she told me that "YOU had an appointment and YOU weren't there." When I said I did not receive a call and there was no appointment, she told me that the guy stopped by at 4:30 yesterday and no one was home. However, I was home at the time and no one came by!! She then said that I would have to pay $25 to get someone to come out again!! NO THANKS!!!

This afternoon when I talked to you I was nothing but nice. We scheduled your appointment on Monday and by Thursday you had forgot about the appointment. We intentionally scheduled it for later in the afternoon b/c you told me that you worked and I explained that the owner of our company lived in your area and he would come by on his way home for the day (to accommodate your schedule). You even apologized to me for forgetting about the appointment. When the owner of our company came to your house to do the estimate, he tried to call you and you didn't answer your phone. When you had called him back two hours later, of course he wasn't able to come back to the same area. You even told me that you weren't home yesterday and you left a message for the owner apologizing for calling him back so much later, now you're saying that you were home. After coming to your house twice, and nothing coming from it, we have to assume that you're not serious about the estimate and therefore have to impose an estimate fee. While your time is valuable, so is ours.
Dropped tree limb on carport roof (single tree cutter talking on cellphone) denting newly revised gutters and hitting front grill of car. Laid same limb on 5 azalea bushes vs. ground. Paid extra for another tree to be cut into firewood and they gave me just the tree cut into sections for me to finish into firewood? Called owner to complain 6X in last 5 months and he promised to come but have given up.

Have been doing business with Redfern for about 5 years now, hiring them for both small and big jobs. Recently, I had some trees cut down in my back yard around my kids' tree house. The trees were dangerously close to my kids' play area and appeared to be unsafe (dead). Redfern came out with a great attitude and completed the job for me with no problems. They cut down the trees that were unsafe, and gave me peace of mind. They're work quality and pricing is great; great complany!

I am extremely happy with the performance of the company. I recently had 5 large trees that I needed taken out in my back yard, a few of which were in danger of falling on my house. The workers were on time, very polite, worked diligently, and got the job done in no time. When it was time for clean up, they made sure my yard was in great condition before leaving. The price was also great for the work that was done. I would absolutely recommend them, and will definitely be doing business with them in the future.

I did pay the invoice for the work that was actually done. The check was cashed by Redfern on June 28 and posted to my account. Please try to be truthful in your responses - you claimed I have not paid for any work and yet you have cashed my check already. To the readers: proceed with extreme caution is using this company.

When we spoke you mentioned that you wanted to get rid of the underbrush, which we did. There was never any mention of wanting to sod the area, grading or clearing. We also have left many messages for you in order to meet up and resolve the issue but have yet to hear back from you. All of that said, we still haven't received the payment for all of the work that was done, including the trees that you added while the crew was on the job site.
Used Redfern twice over the last 15 years, on a small job (5 trees)at my old house and a big job (25 trees)at my current home. Excellent each time. Last time they dropped a a tree thru my roof, what a mess. The owner IMMEDIATELY had the damage repaired, inside and out, as good as new, perfectly done. NOW THATS A COMMITMENT TO CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. I really like them and will ALWAYS use them and recommend them. Here's a company you can build a long term relationship with that will always deliver.

Redfern removed 10 large trees from property. Access was difficult for equipment. The crew placed plywood on lawn and kept equipment on this path. Tree cutting by design is quite destructive and messy. Redfern did a great job keeping the mess to a minimum. I would recommend them to anyone.

We had a large dying tree in a very dangerous spot in our yard. I was concerned that it was going to fall on our house. I called Redfern and they were very prompt to respond. Everyone from the person who answered the phone, to the actual crew members were very helpful, polite and courteous. They got our tree down quickly and without any damage to the house. You can't even tell that it was ever there! They made me feel very comfortable and at ease.

I hired Redfern after getting a few other estimates. I found their price to be fair and they were very professional. Crew did a great job and even cleaned up afterward. I would highly recommend them and will definitely be using them again.

I have worked with A LOT of tree companies over the years. I have had some great inexpensive companies, some very professional (not inexpensive) companies, and some plain bad companies. I have never run into a company like Redfern. VERY professional and almost always the cheapest bid by far. Get a price and you will thank me.

We had Redfern Tree remove 16 tree's prior to our pool instalation they did an excellent job, price was in line with other tree company's. I was really impressed with the clean up they did after removing the tree's. They had the best plan for removal in a difficult back yard.
