Reliable Heating & Air sells Energy Star rated equipment and recycles several tons of metal, steel, aluminum, copper, and cardboard each week. All r-22 (Freon) is recovered and turned into an EPA reclamation facility. All new equipment we sell and install uses the environmentally friendly refrigerant R410a. Our technicians are EPA certified and trained in the proper handling and disposal of the HCFC R-22 (Freon).
Had a complete HVAC removed and new Trane and the old house electric panel removed and new one installed. Salesmen Ted Burge did a good job explaining what we needed after I told him what I was... needing. A three day installation was agreed on. The first day was tear out HVAC. This was all day and some to get done. Chuck K. and Russell D. worked very hard. Day two started very early installing new HVAC, went well. Charlie Austin arrived to bring parts and check on work. Things were not going as fast as thought so chuck called to see it help could come on next day, this was set up. The third we had Jason A. and Josh to help with the installation. The Electrician Travis and his helper showed up to change out the panel, this went fast, all hand were working hard. Charlie came again with parts and checking on workers. Early evening we had heat, I called my wife to come home. We had other people bring parts and removing parts, at one point we had five Reliable trucks in the yard. I called because of water in my basement near my furnace/AC unit. After 4 visits and more than $200 they sent a plumber. The plumber quoted me a price on the phone, then gave a different number on the printed quote. I did not notice (my fault), but now I am out $350. No apology from Reliable. The worst thing they did was charge my credit card without calling me. I spoke with their billing department prior to work being scheduled and was assured that nothing would be charged without my approval. They charged over $2000 on my card without authorization, and without giving me the opportunity to inspect their work. Bushleauge! Beware!
I think the best answer to your review is to simply post the emails you sent and the responses sent to you. Our plumbing manager offered to refund the $350 that you mentioned you did not read on the proposal, but you hung up on him before you gave an answer. I do appreciate you giving us 3 stars in "quality of work" but apologize you were not pleased about losing the ability to "fight" us over the charge.
Our plumbing managers response: I am very sorry about the confusion on the payment for the work we did at your rental home in Doraville, GA. If you wish us to credit the money back to your credit card we will be happy to do that. I made the assumption that it was ok to charge the credit card once you gave me permission to do the work. I assure you that we would not have charged your card for more money you had approved. Your response back to our manager: I do not want to change the payment method. I wanted the ability to judge the quality of work before paying for it. When I did not receive a phone call, I lost the ability to fight the over charge. I was simply charged and there is nothing I can do. You told me it would be $2200 and I asked you directly if that $350 would come out of it. You can deny it all you want, but we discussed it on the phone, and I feel cheated. I will absolutely be leaving reviews of my experience on every social media outlet I can find.
Plumbing managerís response:As for the quality of work, You have a one year warranty on the repairs we made and we will honor it. As for our conversations we do have differences. Before I sent you the proposal I review what was in it with you. I told you that the cost would be $2550 and that if you accepted the proposal with in the next 30 days that we would take the cost of the camera off. You said at that time that you did not have $2200. That you were expecting a check from your boss and that you would call when you had the money. You requested that I not discuss this with your renter. I did not discuss anything with your renter. You call me the following week and told me to go forward with the $2200 job. I am very sorry for any misunderstanding. I try to avoid these types of issues by putting agreements in writing.

I've been using Reliable Heating to service my A/C and heating for several years. They've always been on time, courteous, and economical. I recently had HVAC put in my basement. I called Reliable first - then just to keep them honest I called two other HVAC companies that were highly rated on Kudzu. Neither could beat Reliables price. I didn't negotiate, I just wanted to make sure I was getting a good price from Reliable, and they provided the best price. Then Bobby and Trey came to install the system. They called first, came on time, got the work done in a day, took the time to answer my questions and respond politely to my requests of moving something here or there. They cleaned up completely before they left. On another note, I was in a long line listening to the two people behind me who worked for competing heating and air companies. One was saying how Reliable always beats them and the other was saying how he'd been trying to get a job at Reliable but their standards are too high. That was the best recommendation for Reliable that I could have gotten.
We were I hope the last call of the day for Henry but he came to the door with a smile. He was very professional, took his time despite the time of day. We were the priority, not getting home after a long day. He was very thorough in his review of the equipment. Reliable has made multiple calls to our house and we have always been very satisfied.
I recently had a heating system go out right before the first cold snap of the year. Reliable was fast and professional from the start. They were able to get Woo over for initial troubleshooting the same day, and once he determined a system replacement would be most economical he immediately got Tim on the phone during his off time to schedule a sales consultation the next morning. Tim quickly provided the most cost effective recommendation without any high pressure salesmanship, and was able to schedule the install for the next day. Jason and Chuck quickly and professionally got the new systems installed and when completed it was as if no one had even been at the house. All in all Reliable provided great value very quickly, and was exceptionally easy to work with.
I definitely would recommend...very professional and honest...exceeds in customer service as well...prompt and no big sales pitch..
I have used Reliable for many years on my existing HVAC system. I was told by them that I needed to replace my 2 systems. I chose them because they had the cheapest price however I am already having problems with the coils on my downstairs unit. The salesman had told me that they had a problem with this batch of coils but I never thought it would happen to me. Hopefully in the spring they will replace them. I have a 10 year parts and labor warrenty.
Reliable employees Jason and Josh called ahead and arrived on time. They were both methodical and detailed in their work. They removed the old unit and replaced it without any gotchas. When we fired up the new unit they checked everything and verified all the systems. They cleaned up after themselves and left everything in order.
I just had Chris Pirrone and his helper Randy Rodrigez clean my ducts. I didn't know there was so much involved! These guys work their butts off doing a good job and I would recommend them to anyone. Chris was infinitely patient answering all my questions, and I was VERY pleased with the amount of STUFF that came out of my ducts and that I will no longer be breathing so much dust and heaven knows what else. Thank you! Also, I had my semi annual preventative maintenance check a couple of weeks ago, and Jeremy Dodson spent a lot of time answering my questions too and he was very thorough. Its great to know that there are folks that really care about the quality of their work and don't mind taking a little extra time to explain things!!

Lee and Brandon were great the day they worked outside installing a new air conditioner , arrived when they said they would, work was done and everything worked, and I was told I was going to need a new furnace very soon. A few weeks later we were ready to have that installed and Joey and David F. arrived when they said they would, cleaned up and the price was just as they said it would be, no surprises. I was very happy and would use them again! I will still need another air conditioning unit and they will be who I call in the future.
Lee and Brandon installed a new HVAC unit at my house today. They couldn't have been more professional and informative. Lee answered all of my questions. He walked me through all of their work. They wanted to be sure I was 100% satisfied with their work. I absolutely am 100% satisfied and will be calling on them specifically once I need a new replacement. Great work, great value, Reliable is the team I will be calling in the future should I need service.
Tech made me uncomfortable, asked personal questions, tried to sell me jewelry. Service quality tbd. *Update- they have gone above and beyond to help rectify the situation. I am so thankful this appears to have been an isolated incident that was handled promptly.
