The quality of service and expertise is extremely extraordinary. My 12 year old son has always feared going to the dentist ever since he was five years of age. However, on July 25th 2014 he visited for the first the Vinings Center for Dentistry and truly enjoyed his experience. Dr. Lumpkin and her staff made him feel welcome and comforted. He went there for a cleaning and exam; however, upon reviewing his x-rays, Dr. Lumpkin stated he had an impacted decay baby tooth, that needed to be extracted immediately. Naturally, he was initially extremely scared because when he was five he experience an extration that was so painful he swore he never will go back to a dentist. Dr. Lumpkin and her staff comforted him and assured him it would not be painful. The tooth was extracted and to his amazement he did not feel pain and was throughly relieved of the fact he did not feel pain. He stated to me "mommy this is the best dental experience in all his 12 years of his life. He will not be apprehenison of going to the dentist, as long as it is at Dr. Lumpkin's office". My 10 year old also stated he enjoyed his cleaning and appreciated the staff teaching him how to properly floss". I live in Stockbridge, GA about a 45 minute drive to the dentist office, upon going to the office my sons asked why do we have to go so far, I stated it was the best in town. After their experience both of my sons,concur this was the best dentist ever". Kudos to Dr. Lumpkin, Jessica, and staff.
Dr.Lumpkin and staff were great! They were very thorough and friendly. Top notch equipment and customer based service makes this place stand out. I've never experienced such a pleasant and informative dental visit. I will definitely be back for my 6 month check up.

I have had to switch dentists three times in the past few years do too different reasons, however my experience with Vinings Center for Dentistry finally has me sold for good. They were very professional, helpful and provided me with everything I expect from a Dentist. They are more thorough with their cleaning’s then any dentist I have ever been too. They also gave me options in regards to different plans they recommend for me. I have never had a dentist go above and beyond to offer what they do. I became a patient of Dr. Lumpkin's earlier this year. I chose this practice due to the proximity to my office and the very positive reviews listed on Kudzu. From the very first visit I could see that I had made a great choice, beginning with the staff. Everyone in the office is friendly, personable, and takes the time to answer any questions you may have. As a patient, I have never felt rushed and I have been very satisfied with the quality of care and attention to detail. Dr. Lumpkin at the Vinings Center for Dentistry is the first dentist I am not afraid of visiting. Every procedure has been pain and anxiety free. It's not just Dr. Lumpkin though, but the whole staff really. Everyone at the office is great, scheduling is a breeze and Carla and Barbara are very accommodating in fitting you in. I can go on, but what else is there to say really? If you're looking for a dentist the VCFD is where it is at. One last thing: I chose the VCFD when they were able to fit me in on about 30 minutes notice (I worked down the street, so I would go there on my lunch breaks). Since then I've changed jobs and am on the other side of town, yet I'm still going back. It is harder to schedule and I have to miss some work but it is well worth it.

Dr. Lumpkin has been our family dentist for 19 years! I recall our very first appointment. My husband and I arrived for our appointments and were immediately told that Dr. Lumpkin was running late. When Dr. Lumpkin entered the room the first words out of her mouth were, "I am so very sorry that I'm running late -- I had a patient with an emergency that needed my attention." It was the first time a medical professional apologized to me for being late! We were sold! Years later, when I broke a tooth at lunch, I was told to come right in -- she would take care of it. That day I was the patient with the emergency that received her immediate attention. Dr. Lumpkin is meticulous in her work. She once sent a crown back to the lab several times because it did not meet her satisfaction. She explains everything clearly. Her staff is always friendly, professional and helpful. Dr. Lumpkin has been my dentist for the past 10 months. I have many problems with several of my teeth, most of which have surfaced in the last year. By far the best dentist and dental staff I have ever had! Dr. Lumpkin and Yung the hygienist are wonderful! Believe it or not, it's actually a pleasure seeing them both and not scary like you would think when you go to the dentist. It also helps that the office is very cozy and the staff is so friendly! I've been to several different dentists in the area and Dr. Lumpkin and her staff have been the best. She is always very informative and reviews any and all procedures before embarking. Dr. Lumkin has filled several cavities for me and they were quick and painless. She even saved me from a root canal - whew! Dr. Lumkin is very big on technology and the use of cameras/x-rays in her practice. This does sometimes cost a bit more, but it makes for a very thourough exam and helps her see and treat my teeth better. I would recommend her to family and friends.

Dr. Lumpkin spotted several cavities between my teeth that my previous dentist had failed to notice, and patiently answered all my questions as I subsequently flipped out over the news! As it turns out, I have been flossing incorrectly all these years... I wonder how long it would have taken before I realized this otherwise? I have been through quite a few ordeals with bad customer service (including the dentist), so it is incredibly refreshing to find an office of people who genuinely care about the patient and do their jobs well.

I had an awful experience at my last dentist and Dr. Lumpkin and her great staff fixed my issues, they are wonderful! I must start with that I never got to see Dr. Lumpkin and I have heard really good stuff about her. The staff told me twice over the phone that my appointment was at 9:30. I reached at 9:25 am . At 10 they tell me that the doctor was wrapping up her last patient and will be with me in a couple of minutes but after waiting for 1 hr I told them that I have another appointment and I had to leave. The person at the internal desk decides that it is my fault that I was early and tells me that my appointment was at 10 instead. I told her the person I talked to yesterday and the one who set up my appointment told me that it was at 9:30. She simply shrugged it off and made a rude face. I understand that doctors are sometimes running behind in their schedule but to blame it on the patient specially when I was there 5 mins before my appointment time really sucks. I am 8 months pregnant and I had to take half day off from work to come for this appointment. I was just looking for a simple apology and reschduling of my appointment but all I got was rude behaviour.
First I would like to thank you for your recent visit to our practice. I appreciate that you have heard good things about me, as I have made every effort to earn a good reputation over the past 24 years of practice. I must say that I recall the day that you came to the office very well. You came in on a Friday morning and the staff, as I recall, made every effort to get you in that day for a limited examination in the midst of an already packed schedule day. In an effort to accommodate you in as quick a manner as possible, they tried to get you into the office without a 3 week wait for an appointment time. I think the miscommunication on your appointed time came because we have in the past requested that patients that are new to the office come approximately 30 minutes early to fill out paperwork, etc. This request would be a 9:30 arrival for a 10am appointment. I believe I was running about 20 minutes late. It so happened that a patient that was already in treatment presented with an urgent treatment issue and it took much longer than I had expected. In dentistry, once I encounter such unexpected issues, I must remain with the treatment until the proper care has been provided. When I run late it is because I am giving every patient, every time, my full attention. We certainly respect your time and you were asked several times about rescheduling due to my extended attention to the existing patient in treatment. You were given an apology for your inconvenience, however, not all patients are receptive to these requests when they are aggitated. It is never the staff's intent to be rude and it is unfortunate that is was percieved in that manner. It is a rare occasion that similar situations occur, and if and when they do, our existing patients know that I am receptive enough that they can give me a call or email and let me know their concerns and not label a genuinely concerned staff and practice poorly based on one isolated hour. I am always available to have a dialog with my patients whatever their concerns or problems may be. Should you have any further concerns, please be invited to contact me at your convenience.
