Rude service, 8/07/2014

My mom goes here because it is one of the few places that has Vietnamese physicians that accept Medicare. We were scheduling a Sat appt once and they told her they like to save those for people with... "real" insurance. They eventually schedule her, but that is rude. Today, we had the rudest thing happen. They hung up on me. I have always been on my mothers records so they can release and discuss her records with me. I call needing something and somehow they have lost any record of that. They refused to admit fault. Fine, lets just figure out how to get the information needed. Can my mother call in and verbally authorize me to get the info. No. Can I bring her by this weekend and get the info? No. So I ask why not. I mean the patient will physically be in the office with me to give consent to get her own records. Why can't we get the info. Apparently there is only one guy that handles paperwork and he will not be working. I ask if a nurse (not even the doctor) can take a look at the file on Sat and tell us. I just need to verify that she has or has not had a certain immunization. He told me that is not the nurses job. They are there to care for patients and this type of service is only done by him. So I need to come in Sat to have my mom sign papers. Then wait and they will take days before they can process. Seriously? I was hung up on so when I called back to speak to Dr about his poor staff, they proceed to deny me the option. Left VM and still waiting on a call back.
