construction done right

We have know Richard, and have used Acme Services, for nearly 20 years, primarily for maintenance of our own home as well as rental property. When there is a problem, such as a leak, Richard does not just repair it, he first finds out what caused the problem and then fixes it. We have recommended Richard to many of our friends who have used Acme for major renovations and additions to multi-million dollar homes.

About six months ago we planned a major renovation to our home, and without hesitation asked Richard to do the work. As an architect I knew I would make changes throughout the process and so did the project on a time and materials basis. Acme Services came through again, not only with master craftsmanship but also with a very reasonable rates. Our project included the renovation and expansion of an existing climate controlled wine cellar for the storage of about 1500 bottles, construction of a stone-walled tasting room, home gym, and acoustically paneled digital 10-seat movie theater. Acme took care of everything from demolition to electrical and mechanical systems, installation of a new heat pump HVAC system and structural changes including relocation of the main beam of our 3-story home.

We are now enjoying the wonderful workmanship of Acme Services, and would not hesitate in the least to recommend Richard and his staff.

They were very pleasant, thoughtful and reasonable in price. I would certainly use them for any work I had in the future.

Great job, you gotta hire this guy!

Richard and his crew did a complete kitchen renovation for our family. They did it all - demolition, tile floors, cabinetry, plumbing, electrical, painting, etc. And every single piece is top notch! I can't say enough great things about the experience. Richard charges a fair price and does exactly what he says he will do. He has incredibly high standards for his work and the finished product - exactly what you want when someone is working on your home. He does a great job providing advice when requested but largely defers to your wishes. An all-around great experience.

Finally Found An Honest Contractor

I found Richard on Kudzu,I read all the reviews and decided to give him a try. Very nice, friendly and honest man. We needed to have a dryer vent in ceiling replaced and rerouted to a different located outside. Came over on time and examined the project very carefully and explained best and most cost effective way to repair. He showed up with helper on time to start repairs, they worked carefully and professionally to remove old vent and install new hard dryer vent piping. They replaced siding and outdoor vent casing,then repaired drywall and ceiling in laundry room. They cleaned up all old materials and left for day. When Richard came back he did final mudding and stippling on ceiling. Laundry room and outside looks great. He also gave us tips on other repairs at no charge. Very honest and did a great job. We recommend him very highly and have already recommended him to friends and co-workers. Hopefully they will use him in the future, because we will.

Never look for a contractor again!

Someone I didn't know recommended Richard to a friend. I was looking for someone to renovate my bathroom, and she mentioned Richard. I am so happy she did!! You will love working with him. He does what he says he will do. He made suggestions that really enhanced my finished bathroom, but he is not pushy in any way. He cleans up after his work every single day. He found some old issues, which made the project last a little longer, and I was glad to share my time with him for that much longer. He finished today, and I will truly miss him. He has a great sense of humor, is kind and considerate. My bathroom is beautiful, and I could not be happier.

You will never regret working with this contractor

After a complete debaucle with our first contractor, we found Richard on Kudzu. There is a reason that he has all 5 star ratings. He is prompt, reliable, professional and his personal standards are exacting. Richard built a screened porch for us which is really an outdoor living room. When he finished, there was no punch list. That is how high he holds his own personal standards. We will be enjoying this room for many, many years to come and will always choose Richard for future projects.
