I recently visited intown bicycles for a repair and other service needs. Fantastic, friendly staff and good inventory of products. Great location also with free parking in the back. I highly... recommend.VIEW MORE »VIEW LESS »
I went to Intown at the suggestion of my cyclist boyfriend to purchase a new fitness bike. Mike was patient, knowledgeable and helped me settle on a bike I would be happy riding and that had the... right fit. About 10 test-drives and 2 visits later - his custom adjustments made the bike just-right. Very happy with my experience at Intown!VIEW MORE »VIEW LESS »
The owner is helpful and friendly, but not very knowledgeable. I bought my bike here, but after the last service had to take it back three times as the brakes did not work and in the end I gave up.

I love their shop. I had two downhill bikes repaired a few months ago and they charged a reasonable amount and the work was done well and on time. Thanks.
I've lived in Atlanta for 18 years. I'm a longtime News Anchor and Producer, Marketing executive, Keynote speaker and writer. I have been 'into' cycling seriously for about 7 years - starting with my purchase of a folding bicycle from Intown Bicycles to cart around in my MINI Cooper. I then used this store again for service on my road bikes - until now. I went in over the weekend to have a bike basket installed for my new puppy. The owner suggested that he'd charge $25 to install the two screws (were his loose). He then suggested that he didn't want us waiting in the store while the work was done 'odd' and when the basket wouldn't fit and I offered to buy another from him (overpriced), he wanted another $10 to install a ONE SCREW bracket. There is more that I don't have room to share here - but bottom line, these folks have lost a longtime customer who used referred them a great deal. The cliche' is "It's the economy, stupid". I'd reiterate, It's the economy, STUPID. Business owners in this environment should not milk their 'GOOD' customers and lose them for $10 but instead foster those relationships. I might add also, phobic, perhaps a bit racist from encounters I've witnessed, and more attention is paid in this store to MEN than WOMEN. Want counsel - go elsewhere. JMO!
These people are a lot nicer than some of the other places around town and are at least attentive and make an effort to get things done. They don't have a whole lot of selection, they were never able to resolve the problem I had with my bike (and it took them two days to say they couldn't fix it), and one of the tools I bought there was about eight bucks more than it should have been. Also sought to charge me five bucks to put on pedals(!)--given that it takes about one minute to put on two pedals where no pedals had previously been mounted, that comes out to an hourly rate of about $300. For all these reasons, it's tough for me to give them great marks, but they really are some of the friendlier, more approachable people I have dealt with in the intown area. So why did I give them decent marks? Because the mechanical problem I was having is not one I would expect most people to have, and I'm sure they are more than competent with standard mechanical issues. Additionally, regardless of price and selection, the snotiness of most bike store mechanics is what turns me off the most, and these people don't even have a hint of that. So all in all, I may consider using them again if I have basic tasks that I don't have time to fix myself. That said, if
Always take my bike here for yearly tuning. Great staff. Make sure to check out their website for special offers and coupons.
This is my kind of shop. You don't get the attitude from these guys like in most intown shops. They are willing to help and work with you, even if you don't read every new bike catalog that comes out.
Can't beat the customer service. They've always done a great job for me, and have had everything I've needed. I highly recommend Intown Bikes.
I like to build single speeds. The folks at Intown are well versed in the old stuff, especially Mike the owner. The prices are not the cheapest, but fair. The staff is very nice, the place is neat, and they usually have what I'm looking for. Plus, I like the vibe in the place. I give them the thumbs up.
