The Chocoholic's Chocolatier
The orange/chocolate angel food cake at the Elegant Truffle is HANDS DOWN the best cake ever! I've never been much of a fan of angel food cake, but this one made me change my tune--it is above and beyond outstanding. I've tried several of the desserts from the Elegant Truffle, and Jennifer does a fabulous job with all of them. She clearly uses only the freshest, highest quality ingredients, and when you're a self-proclaimed chocoholic like myself, you can certainly tell the difference. The chocolate-covered strawberries are simply decadent, and I have yet to sample the truffles...however I would venture to say that they are just as delectable as everything else in the shop. So next time...
If you have not yet tasted these pretzels they are absolutely delicious!!! The selection of pretzels available will make your mouth water.
The only frozen yogurt place we go to.
Go Get Yogurt offers a good variety of flavors including a dairy-free option. My son, who can't have milk, loves it. The flavors taste great. There are many choices of toppings to pick from. Some of them I've never had the option to choose from at other yogurt places. And the generous amount of toppings are carefully placed among the layers of yogurt. This is operated by an ex-military man who is enjoyable to talk to. They will accept coupons from other yogurt places as well as their own.
Best in Town!
I saw Y&M Wholesale off of the 5 one day and was curious what a wholesale candy warehouse was like, I wandered in on a whim and found one of the coolest mom & pop businesses around. The staff is very helpful, even though they were slammed when I went in there, they made me feel welcome. They had just about every kind of old school candy plus tons of new stuff I'd never even heard of and of course all the brand name goodies like snickers and all that jazz. I felt like I was in candy heaven.
Deliciious to the point where you will think about it the next day. Worth the money, and it's a great gift to give for birthdays or as a token thank you.
