If you love antiques and wonderful service... :)
This is not a B&B, but a beautiful and affordable place to stay in historic Julian. We stayed specifically in Ruby's Parlour which has unfortunately a very creaky and old bed, but that was OK for us! It was most definitely antique and the owners have strived to keep all of the Historical House's original decor and/or furnishings. We have yet to enjoy Ed's Playhouse (a tiny cottage in the back garden) or the Sunporch. The price for the stay is excellent, especially in comparison to the local bed and breakfasts. There are lots of fun things to do in town especially during the fall season with the apple festival when Julian really comes to life with visitors! Just a note, if you stay on...
Relaxing and rejuvenating
Great, attentive staff, excellent service, wonderful food, fantastic hospitality, great location on a hill. We stayed in one of the lodge rooms on the second floor (blue/white wall paper, white shutters, yellow chairs). The bed was comfortable and the room decor was comforting. There were fresh oatmeal cookies in a jar on the dresser waiting for us. We rode our motorcycles up to Julian and once we stepped into the lodge, we were eased into "relax" mode immediately. Ahhhh..... I would recommend this B&B and I hope to stay again.
Awesome place to stay!
My significant other and I stayed here for our 6th anniversary in December and were very impressed. Scott and Martha rock! Amazing breakfasts in bed, beautiful surroundings and an absolutely relaxing and tranquil spa! It was worth the price and then some. Will definitely be back. Oh and their dog Dragon is sooo cute and sweet. You don't even have to get dressed for breakfast.
