New review - 2017
The last review of SSH was in 2014 and it was terse and unforgiving based on 'management.' Much like reading reviews of hotels, you need to look past a person who had a personal problem and then rates the entire place poorly based on their one experience. I hesitated writing a review because I don't want the lottery to get so full my 2nd and 3rd children can't get into the school. My son just completed Ga-Pre-K program and if you are searching around East Cobb and don't want to pay college tuition for Pre-K, the Sunshine House is a great place. Our son's teacher was excellent. She kept parents fully informed and provided great feedback on his development. The classes aren't small, its...
Great Teachers !
My son absolutely loves Kids R Kids. He's bonded with every teacher he's had, and the teachers are very nurturing. He's learned so much since he's been enrolled in the program. My husband and I absolutely love the "extras" they offer compared to other childcare centers in the area with comparable rates. The only area we hope to see improvement in is front office friendliness. My husband and I both on several occasions have walked into the school without being acknowledged by front office staff. Some days we don't even receive the minimal acknowledgement of a wave. I'm always pleasant during drop of and speak to whomever is at the front desk, and I'm not always guaranteed the same respect in...
Our family moved to the area about 4 years ago and after visiting several of the other schools, we felt most comfortable with Kids 'R' Kids. Our oldest started at age 1 and youngest at 3 months. Fast forward to now, our oldest is in Pre k. I can honestly tell you that every new classroom along the way has been an absolute joy to get to know the teachers. It's obvious the owner puts a lot of effort to finding the right teachers for each class and the teachers prepare their students to hit the ground running when they start elementary school. I sometimes whine internally about the cost associated with having two kids in this school but I would never consider the alternative. My wife and...
My son has been attending Goddard since he was 9 months old. My youngest has been there since she was 10 weeks. They are now 3 1/2 and 5 years old. I can't say enough wonderful things about this school. All of the staff know my children by name and are so loving and nurturing. I am amazed at what my children are learning in their classroom. I love the security features (facial recognition), the indoor and outdoor playgrounds, the low student-to-teacher ratio, as well as the bright, cheery classrooms. I feel confident that my children are well cared for while they are there and to me, that is priceless.
Re: Proceed with Caution
We value all feedback from our current and former families. We would like to clarify a few items. We would have liked more than the 7 1/2 days to earn your confidence. Your sons attendance is documented through our Child Care Manager clock and Tadpoles. 16 photos were sent over your childÂs week and a half, showing your son engaging in mealtime, floor activities, and Thumbs Up! outdoor time. On your sonÂs last date of attendance, although not noted in your review, as we explained to you, the teachers had already notified the Leadership Team of your sons ÂblistersÂ. We were about to call you when, by coincidence, you dropped by. At the time of your arrival the...
