Great Barn, Great Lesson Horses, Great Trainers
My daughter has been riding at Foxcroft for 9 years and we have been very pleased. Foxcroft has a wonderful variety of lesson horses and the facility is well maintained. The trainers are encouraging and push the riders to do their best.
Integral part of a young lady's develoment
Our daughter has been riding at Vogt for 3 years now - and we all love it. She had started at another barn with top notch facilities, but she wasn't getting a consistent teacher experience so we tried Vogt. What a difference! The old barn offers valet service with lots of grooms and barn hands that run things so the girls can just show up, have a lesson, hop off the horse and leave. Vogt, on the other hand, teaches the whole experience from tacking and grooming to full care of a horse. Yes, it's a lot of work which may not be for everyone, but all the girls there love it. TLEC is now The Stables at Towne Lake
The Stables at Towne Lake is a full service H/J/E lesson and show barn. We no longer are connected to the former business. The head trainer Jennifer L. Buck has 36 years of experience riding, showing and running a facility. We offer lessons, camps, leasing, boarding, half leases, sales, training and showing. Our show schedule consists of the GHJA show schedule and barn shows. We offer lessons with 3 different trainers depending on your level, schedule or goals. Please call Jennifer Buck @ 302-750-3309
Wonderful and horse-focused
I've been riding with Doe Rae for many years, and not only has her guidance helped develop me as a rider but it has also empowered me in other areas of my life. She teaches young girls that they can handle more than they think, and knowing that you can be the master of a 1500 lb animal makes other challenges in life seem doable and even small in a lot of cases. Not only is there a strong focus on developing students into well-rounded riders as well as strong individuals outside of the ring, but also a stronger focus on caring for and treating the horses with respect. Horses are never overworked or mistreated, and their health and safety is always put first.
