Well worth the trip !
We were so pleased with everything from the cozy decor to the friendly staff, the varied menu selection and the good value. Truly not a chain restaurant, but more like someone got hold of great-grandma's recipe file and cooked up all our favorites! The salad was fresh and crisp, the chicken pot pie must have been made from scratch and the desserts! Our family of six shared bites from one another's selections and couldn't pick a favorite! We will have to make many more visits to determine the very best one!
Very nice hotel
My husband and I were driving to Saint Louis and on the way we stopped at the hotel for a night sleep. It was very nice, friendly and helpful staff...
Delicious special entrees & sides!
Wonderful place to meet and eat with business associates or friends. Delicious menu items and wonderful salads and soups. Also can provide a terrific variety of hors doeuvres to entertain there or "To Go"! Easy to work with when planning Events! I particularly like the Creamed Asparagus Soup and their Roasted Pear Salad for my lunch!
Friendliest Place in Town
Breakfast is a very good bargain, food is tasty and usually fresh. I absolutely love the biscuits and gravy and scrambled eggs. The polish sausage is too spicy. The brisket is also one of my favorite items as well as the rolls and baked beans and the tropical fruit salad is to die for. They seem a bit pricy for most of the items already being pre-made and them just having to heat them up though. Overall a good bargain and they have the friendliest staff in Manhattan. Our family goes at least once a week, usually for breakfast.
need better menu
the menu is to confusing, need to simplify it, the food is delicious, the prices are reasonable, the service is excellent, but the first time you walk in, you are overwhelmed, and don't know what to do.
