A feast for the eyes and the soul. Pretty things everywhere you look, super service, and the absolute best selection of Johnny Was and/or JWLA t-shirts I've ever seen anywhere! Will definitely be back for more than the three I just bought.
Cute Cute Cute!
From the jewelry and the purses to the gorgeous dresses this place is over-flowing with creativity! Even though it is a little pricey, i still love it!
I needed a decent suit for dinner. My wife insisted we do the obligatory rounds of restaurants while in New Orleans, and clearly, I packed none of the above. Since I didn't want to wear the powder blue loaner dinner jacket at Antoines, I had to find a suit, quick! I asked the hotel Concierge where to go for men's clothes in New Orleans. I was told to go here. It's not in New Orleans, but it's just as well. They had a really stock selection! The place was shaped like an oversized walk-in closet, with the front half steeped in ultra-preppy stuff, to the uber-urban midway through. The rear of the store is devoted to career wear, featuring more of what I was after -- designer suits, sport...
the Barney's of New Orleans
My wife discovered this store from her trusty guidebook. Rubenstein's was described as "the Barney's of New Orleans". Leave it to my wife to travel all this way and find one of the more high end New York-like stores in the South. I guess it's considered one of the finest retail establishments in the country, filled with posh designer digs and high-quality lines. She went through several boutiques, including dragging me into a men's haberdashery, and let's not forget, the jewelry counter that just so happened to have the perfect cocktail ring for her dress that evening!
This location has the best the selection of sandals is the best. They also had lots of shoes in my size.
