nice oriental selections
Another store I have come to for years, not only to buy items to cook with but they offer an array of things for gifts such as oriental dolls, oriental china and such. Living in Korea years ago I learned oriental cooking and love coming here.
Hot Bar RAWKS!
While this is actually a grocery store, it's the hot bar that keeps me coming back. If you want a delicious home cooked meal and a great take out salad, head to City Market. They must have a whole staff of Grandmas in the back cooking up their delicious and hearty fare. :-)
When we're tailgaiting or entertaining, Lowes Foods is our destination of choice. Their deli and bakery are outstanding, as is their beer and wine selection. Grocery-wise, their prices are a bit high and selection sometimes spotty.
It's almost a Harris Teeter!
If I didn't know better, I'd have sworn this was a Harris Teeter. It's that nice! I don't shop here much because it's way out of my way, but it is an enjoyable experience because everything's so new and clean and modern looking. However, I DON'T like the angled aisles and I find it more difficult to find things. Since the layout is different from a regular Food Lion, things are not always where I expect them to be. Consequently, shopping takes longer -- never a good thing!
Our top choice.
This is our family's preferred Food Lion location. The staff is friendly, the produce good, and they have a larger variety than the store that's closer to us. When we have the time, this is the Food Lion we shop.
