On the waterfront
This quaint little inn is located just steps away from the Cape Fear River. You are in the center of old downtown Wilmington and a lot of history - you are in the heart beat of the city. Rates are very reasonable and breakfast is not too bad.
Talk about hospitality - No. 1
This place is designed with a Scottish flair about it, but they serve up the most Southern hospitality I have ever been provided. Wonderful place that is cozy and they have a wonderful full service restaurant on the property too. Most wedding receptions in the area are held here too. I have been there when a wedding party was going on in the gardens. Nice place for a romantic get-away. You need to try this place.
This hotel is located close to Camp Lejeune's main gate. It's a very clean and nice motel. They have meeting rooms and I have attended recently a bridal shower that was held here. The service seems to be quite good and there's also an indoor pool. The meeting rooms are in various sizes and the prices for rental includes clean-up by the hotel. Only one problem - you have to cater or have it catered, they do not handle that for you.
This is another local B&B that we go to periodically. It is located in the 'heart' of Kenansville. When you drive up you see this lovely colonial style home and you can just feel the warmth of this inn. The owners are friendly and try to make your stay as pleasant as possible. Pricey, but it's worth the pampering!
My wife and I have stayed at several hotels, especially when we moved cross country but we have found that one of our favorite hotels is Wingate Inn. ...
