Great Golf Course
Nice country 18 hole course that has some water, lots of sand traps and a nice driving range. They also have a fully stocked club house for anything that you would need. It is a soft spike course.
Great north Dayton course
The Dayton area has a ton of great golf courses run by local cities. Cassel Hills is Vandalia's course; a twisty little bast*** with rolling fairways surrounded by mature trees. The course is kept in good shape and like all munys, very affordable.
Worth a visit
Good muny course. New management in 2005 is more attentive and running a tighter ship. The layout has always been challenging. Beware of sharks however; regulars are very friendly but any who shoot poorly for a few holes then offer to go double or nothing are setting you up for a fall.
Hard to beat
A redesign a few years ago took two good courses and made them better. Outside is long, hilly. Greens are largely unprotected; fairways wide. Inside is a little tarty with some links-style ponds and funkiness added to make up for the relatively short layout. Inside is the perfect course for new golfers ready to leave Par 3s behind but not ready for Augusta yet.
Outstanding city course
Very nice layout; huge trees dotting the fairways in perfect locations to frustrate even the best golfers. Good staff and conditions. Try to hit the water tower off the driving range.
