Best place to train
catkd teaches both kids and adults and teaches respect and self confidence. This studio has great instructors and amazing students. As an adult who trains with this studio i think it is a great place, i don't feel funny or weird training with kids who are a higher belt rank than i am because there are 3 class sections, kids beginner class, kids advanced class, and an adult class. It really is a great place to go and the people there are friendly and great to be around. Plus they give you a 2 week free trial and there are no contracts!! Cant beat it :)
Great children's program!
There are a lot of martial arts schools in our area, but this is by far the best one for children! Instead of having just a children's class and an adult's class, there are multiple classes for each age group or ability level, so the kids get lots of attention from the teachers. The teachers are all very patient and energetic!
Sensei Hamilton is an amazing teacher. It is a very rewarding experiece to study under him in a traditional Dojo setting. He dedicates many hours to helping each of his students achieve the understanging and execution of the martial arts. From the moment you enter the grounds of the Dojo, you feel as if you are in Japan.
Top rate instructor
I would highly recommend that anyone interested in learning martial arts should talk to Paul Zeak. He teachs TKD for all ages and has amazing patience with youngsters and great way of teaching not only the physical aspects of martial arts, but the respect of self, country, and others. Runs a fantastic program with a lot of one-on-one instruction. I cannot put into words the transformation he has helped make in my son from being shy and timid, to being assertive and confident.
Great for kids and adults
If you have trouble with discipline, with yourself or your child, I'd recommend karate lessons with CS Kim. Master Bruno runs this class, and he is really great with the kids. He can also work your butt off as an adult, but you get a lot of positive reinforcement and it's a great chance to meet people. The only down side is the price is a bit steep, especially when you throw in the cost of tests. But if you've got the cash, it's definitely worth it.
