Best elementary school in RISD
We are so happy both our boys are attending HPPM. I'm always hearing nightmare stories about other schools and other districts of all the problems they have. I'm so thankful we do not have them at HPPM. We had one major issue we brought up to the principal and superintendent with regard to safety concerning visitors to the school. Within a short time afterward (I'm not sure how much affect we had on the matter, if any, as I think it was already being considered) the issue was addressed and fixed. Our kids love it there. I only wish we lived a little closer.
A Surprising Change of Heart!
I used to be afraid of sending my kids to this school until I realized that if your child is a conscientious student and takes all pre-AP classes they will do fine. My daughter is a 7th grader and just loves it here and we love the fact that she can even walk to school! Sure there are rough kids at the school, but she's fairly well sheltered from it. The teachers seem really caring and genuinely interested in seeing our child succeed.
great neighborhood school
Even though there are over 2000 students, I still get the neighborhood feel. Plus no need to run downtown for entertainment - we have it all here and for a great price - football, volleyball, basketball, the Wrangelers, Highlandette Revue, the musicals. It's great to be in Lake Highlands!
My daughter got great grades here and i liked the way they transitioned them from elementary to switches classes and preparing for high school and college and managing time between rooms and classes.
best in irving
This school was exemplary! They really had a top notch staff in the office as well as some of the best teachers around. I was sad to see my daughter leave to move on to middle school. I really enjoyed volunteering here.
