Great all year round!
I highly recommend a visit! This victorian style conservatory is filled with beautiful flowers and plants even in the winter months when I find it especially inviting. They have a koi pond and waterfall, benches for relaxing and children can feed their fish for free, just ask for some fish food. The gift shop is amazing and the friendly staff are on hand to answer any plant questions you may have. A concert is held inside once a month throughout the year. It is always the second Sunday of each month at 1:00- 2:30pm
Still has it
This place still has the power to make me feel like a kid. I don't think the exhibit has changed much over the last few years. Whenever I go, it's j...
The best we've found in WA so far!
We have been to children's museums all over the state of Washington and this one's the best by far. The big ones in Tacoma and Seattle are okay, but offer little in the way of programs and activities for older kids. The Olympia museum is the most fun you can have on the first Friday of the month with only a donation if you want and can afford it. We love this place even for teens.
Okay, it's not the best art museum I've ever been in, in comparison to museums in Chicago or New York, but it's pretty I like the modern art best. Also, the upstairs Japanese house and African mask gallery.
Great free museum! Always have interesting stuff and hey it's free with free parking, what's not to like.
