Great all year round!
I highly recommend a visit! This victorian style conservatory is filled with beautiful flowers and plants even in the winter months when I find it especially inviting. They have a koi pond and waterfall, benches for relaxing and children can feed their fish for free, just ask for some fish food. The gift shop is amazing and the friendly staff are on hand to answer any plant questions you may have. A concert is held inside once a month throughout the year. It is always the second Sunday of each month at 1:00- 2:30pm
The best we've found in WA so far!
We have been to children's museums all over the state of Washington and this one's the best by far. The big ones in Tacoma and Seattle are okay, but offer little in the way of programs and activities for older kids. The Olympia museum is the most fun you can have on the first Friday of the month with only a donation if you want and can afford it. We love this place even for teens.
This was quite interesting to see. We found works by Dale Chihuiy and other artists. It's incredible what they can do with glass and how they shape into so many different things.
This is an up and coming Zoo. It has been renovated over the past few years and is quite interesting. They have shows at various times of the days in different areas of the park. They are very informative. The aquarium has lots of fish related to the area. It also has a "petting" area for them as well as regular animals. A great place to take children. Lots of places to sit and have a picnic as well.
Are you hot? Wanna get wet?
Wild waves water park is a great water park. My family really enjoys this place and we go atleast once a year while we are passing through on our way ...
