I had Shirley make 7 bridesmaid dresses that I designed from scratch for my wedding. It was a very simple design, but she had problems from the start and did not seem to listen to any of my specifications. She basically put it together how she thought it should look and then got irritated when I complained that it wasn't what I designed. She also did a VERY poor sewing job (uneven hems, off-center trim, puckered seams, etc.) and refused to refund me any $ when I told her I was unhappy with the product. I spent $162 per dress for something I wouldn't pay $10 for off a clearance rack! She also hid all my leftover fabric from me (which I paid for!) and kept it, telling me all she had left over was scraps. I went back into her sewing room myself and found YARDS of it lying on the table. I still can't believe how awful she has been to me, and with only 3 weeks left till my wedding, I am now rushing to find a new seamstress to fix all the problems with the dresses. The Better Business Bureau will be hearing from me very soon!
