When I first met my husband, he told me that he was a recovering drug addict and that he'd been clean for 2 years. That was 7 years ago, and the only difference it made in our lives for 5 of those years was the fact that my husband never drank. 2 years ago, his mother passed away and he took it pretty hard. I didn't know it, but 2 months after her funeral he relapsed. I had no idea that he was using and the only reason I did end up finding out was because he had been arrested and called me from jail. I had no idea what to do and called a friend of mine for advice as her daughter had a drug problem. She recommended I call A Forever Recovery. Her daughter had gone there the previous year and had been clean since going there. I was able to get my husband in right away and the whole process was easy and quick. Everyone who works at AFR was really helpful throughout my husband's entire stay. During his program I talked to a staff member at least once a week to get updated on how he was doing and his progress through his program. My husband went to AFR 9 months ago, spent 6 weeks there and has been home for 7 ½ months. He's been doing much better since going to AFR. He's much happier and healthier now.

I've gone to A Forever Recovery twice. The first time was a year and a half ago. After graduating from my first program I stayed clean for 6 months and then relapsed. I went straight back to AFR knowing that it was a place where I could and would get the help I needed so that my relapse wouldn't spiral into something that I couldn't handle. Going to AFR was actually a great experience. The detox part wasn't fun sure but it's the only rehab I've been to where I felt like I truly mattered. The staff there are so incredibly exceptional. The level of care and compassion they show to every client there is pretty amazing. Working there isn't just a job to them. It's something they do because they completely and honestly care. It made the whole experience of going to rehab completely different. The reason I chose AFR in the first place was the different programs they have there. Being able to choose which program I was going to do after I was detoxed and could think clearly was something that really appealed to me and it made as big of a difference as I thought it would. When I relapsed 6 months after completing my first program I went back to AFR because I knew I'd get the help I needed. I finished my second program 8 months ago and I'm doing better than ever. Going to AFR changed everything for me.

There are a variety of drug and alcohol rehab centers out there to help you and A Forever Recovery is a great choice. A lot of rehabs use holistic in the process of trying to overcome one's addiction. One thing that I have learned from others is that if somebody does not want to be helped, then there is not one person out there that can help them. Without wanting the need to get help for yourself, you can be categorized by people that do not understand how drugs and alcohol become a disease. To avoid it, you have to just choose not to do them. There are many people out there who have decided to use drugs and alcohol, and they are now suffering from it. It is very hard to overcome living with addiction. For they attach to your fat cells and continue to stay there for a long time, the proximate time value is around 5 to 7 years. But the damage that can be done to your brain can be permanent. This is why it is a very good idea to get you enrolled in a drug and alcohol rehab center. Not to mention by abusing these drugs and alcohol, what it would do to your family's life. The effects that it can have on one's family can be permanent if a user is abusing and they have children. Simply put, drugs and alcohol destroy brain cells, families, lives, jobs, and even futures. There are a lot of people out there who are very knowledgeable and would want you to get the best help possible, so make sure you choose a program like A Forever Recovery.

Going to A Forever Recovery made me able to get my life back. I was on pain medication for 2 years and I went to another rehab before going to AFR. After relapsing 2 months after I completed that first rehab my husband and I were close to divorcing. I was on drugs so I would've lost my kids. Instead, I went to AFR and because of that my family is still together. I wasn't expecting the facility to be as great as it was. The staff there are amazing, each one of them is completely dedicated to helping the clients get and stay clean, sober and happy. Doing the program at AFR helped me not just with my addiction but with every aspect of my life. I can talk more easily with my husband. I know when I need help and don't just try to brush it off or hide the fact that I do. Instead, I can talk to him about it, Openly and honestly and can ask for the help I need. I can handle all of life's little problems better now. My work ethic is better. Mainly though, I'm happy again. Honestly, I wasn't even sure that was possible anymore. I was on the verge of completely losing everything that ever meant something to me and instead I'm clean, sober, my family is in one piece and I'm happier now than I've ever been. A Forever Recovery is an amazing program with amazing people working there. I couldn't have found a better place to get help.

AFR is a great program. There can be so many places to choose from when looking for treatment but worked for me is A Forever Recovery. These people create a programs that is tailored to you as a person and that is what I liked the most. It is great having things to work for you and not just having something that is not really something that you feel like you are a part of. Because of AFR's approach you feel like you are a part of the program and that makes such a good difference. It gives you a well rounded feeling that you can not get from being in some traditional model program.
