The first time I brought my dog in to get groomed here, I was extremely happy and have recommended them to others. However, the last two times I have been in, there have been "additional charges" that were not warned against in the beginning. A "handling fee" for matted fur (isn't that standard on dogs around the collar?), which there was no warning of, and a "New Year's Fee", so, one they were aware of, and another they were not, but they did not notify me prior to grooming either way. The price increased by $13, from $35. Secondly, the groomer, possibly the owner, was very unwilling to explain the charges to me and even critisized me for waiting longer than normal to groom. She also practically hung up on me when calling to notify me he was ready. "Hi, your dog is ready, we're closing in 30 minutes," click. I left feeling like I would rather spend the extra $10 to get my dog groomed at Petsmart, where I know there will be exceptional service. That is unfortunate considering I would rather support a small business. Also, the owner's name is Robyn H, who most of these reviews are written by.
