AA Power has been extremely responsive and completed the work under initial estimates. Their customer service is very good and easy to work with (i.e. explaining potential issues and determining the maximum we should spend to repair).

AA Power seems to have problems with batteries. The first time they serviced my lawn tractor, they fixed the main problem, but when they called to let me know it was ready I was told that the battery was dead and needed to be replaced. I told them that was a surprise because I had placed a new battery in it just two weeks before taking it to them. They replaced it at no charge. A year later, I needed another repair so let them work on it again. They fixed that problem which was relatively minor, but again told me I now had a dead battery. The battery was fine when they took it. That time I just paid for the battery and decided I wouldn't use them again. Shortly after that, my stepdad told me he had used them for his lawn tractor too. When they returned the mower, it was running on the truck with a toolbox sitting on the seat to keep it running. After it was off the truck, he tried to start it again before they left and the battery was dead. The person that delivered it didn't do anything about it and left. I chose them because I needed someone that could transport my mower to and from my house and also because of the good reviews. The only reason I gave two stars instead of one is because they did fix the original problem, but the battery issue will keep me away.

We apologize for your negative experience with our company. We do appreciate your honest feedback as we are always striving to improve our customer experience. Our mission to to bring value to you as our customer.
Our service team would like the opportunity to review the battery failure issue with your unit. Please reach out to us so we can attempt to determine a clear reason for the dead battery and to see how we can come to a better resolution. We desire to ensure your satisfaction if possible in this matter.
As part of our daily closing process we examine all riding mower ignitions to ensure no key is inadvertently left in the run position. In addition, our service techs crank each mower after a repair or service to ensure the unit is running correctly. Should they encounter a dead battery they charge the battery. If battery will not hold a charge we attempt notify the customer. One possibility is as you noted the battery was new right before you brought it to us. Had a battery been on the shelf at the retailer for while (we see this often with the big box stores) and discharged or low and then put into a mower not running, the battery may not have sufficient time to charge given that the unit has not been running.
As for the delivery person running the mower to charge the battery, our previous delivery person did do that several years back and we do apologize for that. We have made it a policy not to charge the battery while we're delivering, instead we will notify the customer to see what they want to do with the weak battery.
Our goal is to build a long term relationship so we would appreciate it you give us a chance to see how we can make it right for you.
Poor running lawnmower - in on Saturday, ready on Tuesday. Fixed right the first time. This after fighting another facility for 3 months, I'll bring everything to AA Power from now on. Great customer service. James Miller

Found out about this business on Kudzu when I needed repairs for our push mower. My first impressions were excellent. Their staff was helpful and courteous, and the mower was repaired (carburetor replaced) in good time, and the mower has been working great since it left their shop.

I've only been to AA Power Equipment one time (for an Echo string line trimmer that wouldn't start). The store is well organized and clean. The employees all seemed professional and friendly and willing to answer questions. They have a $35.00 minimum charge to diagnose the problem. If the problem is small as in my case, you might not have to pay more than $35.00 because that will also cover the repair labor. Their prices on equipment seemed very similar to the prices at the big box stores. I saw a lot of Echo and Honda equipment, which are both brands I own. They are 10 miles from where I live, but I will definitely take my mower there after the season for its annual tune-up. 9/2/16 UPDATE: After my second visit, I'm still pleased with AA Power. I took my mower and hedge trimmer in. I bought the hedge trimmer used from AA Power and it only lasted 2 years, but that's always a risk with used equipment. They provide clear paperwork and explain their pricing up front and then call with any additional information and to let you know the work is done. The diagnostic charge has increased from $35 to $40, but otherwise I didn't notice any changes.

I took my Echo blower in to have it looked at after someone else told me I needed a new carburetor. It was just over a year old. The next day they had diagnosed that it needed a carb adjustment. Great service at reasonable price = I will use them again.

I own a string trimmer I had not used in years and could not get the thing to start. AA POWER had it going again in only a couple of days and only charged me the diagnostic fee. I've had good results on mower tune-ups too.

I took my lawnmower in for a repair and the owner was very knowledgeable and helpful. He gave me a lot of information on how to keep the lawn mower and the carburetor working well. I never knew to top the fuel off after I finished mowing to prevent moisture getting into the engine. I was really happy with all their advice to keep me from having to bring in my lawn mower to be fixed again. Their tuneups are worth the price.

Requested pick-up, diagnosis, service/repairs & return of my riding mower. Did not respond to original eMail request. Had to call. Finally got the mower picked up. Diagnosis was it needed a new carburetor. Authorized and and a tune-up. Requested it be put in good running order. Three weeks later it was delivered and would not run. Dead battery! When I questioned the delivery person, he responded that I did not ask them to work on the battery. No, I asked them to put the mower in good working order. He thought it was funny! After paying a $440.00 bill to get the mower running it does not run! Will not use again. UPDATE: Owner has offered to provide a new battery and install it in compensation for my disappointment. Offer accepted.

bought new honda mower from them in 2012. Wasn't starting and took in and they told me needed new carb due to fuel damage. Complained to Honda Corporation as was still well within warranty, took back to dealer and they fixed it. Seems to start up now.
