I've used AA Power Equiptment for a few years. At first, I felt like they did a great job at a very reasonable price. Since then, I've had two problems with items dropped off for service and repair. I dropped off a Homelite trimmer last year because it wouldn't start. I was paid $90 for a new carborator (apparantely more than a brand new trimmer of that model), and it STILL won't start. I took it back earlier this year, and one of the repair guys got it to start and told me to change the gas. I did that and it still won't start so a waste of a $90 repair and I still have to buy a new trimmer. Similarly, I dropped off my mower for routine service this year and was having no problems with it. Now the mower sputters and acts up and performs worse than it did before service. Pretty disappointing from a business I used to really like and recommend.

Dear JacketsFan04, we do have a 90 warranty on our repairs and so if you bring it back during that time, we can get to the cause of the problems. That way we can have an opportunity to make it right for you. Often times with the ethanol that they put in the gas these days, we've been seeing a lot more carburetor related problems. If you are still not satisfied with the repair, why don't you call us and let us know how we can make it right for you.
We recently brought in our chainsaw for repair. After evaluating the needs for our chainsaw, we felt that it would be better to buy a new updated version. AA Power carried the new chainsaw by Echo that we wanted at a good price. Plus they gave us a credit towards the new one since we brought our old one in to be looked at.

My Toro wouldn't start, but pulled easily. They called & claimed I ran it with low oil. I went to pick it up and now it won't pull. To top it all, they charged $ 40 to tell me they couldn't do anything! They are The Worst. I won't go back.

when you brought in your mower the mower wouldn't start. We told you that it was going to cost $40 minimum for us to look at it and it would go toward the repair if you repaired it. We also have your signature that you agreed to it. When we looked into the problem we found that the mower was ran with low oil, the piston had seized up and piston rod was broken. If you want that repaired, we would have to replace the engine costing $350-$500 which would be more than the mower is worth. When we pull on it enough to diagnose, the broken rod will sometimes lock up against the edge of the cylinder causing the starter to be stuck. When you picked it up, I asked you what can we do to make you happy, you said you want it to be able to pull freely again. I pushed the blade to free the rod and was able to pull on the engine freely until the rod got stuck again. I tried to explain to you what was happening, but you said you didn't want to talk about it. At that point, there wasn't much else we can do.
These guys provide great service. This is the first time I have used them. I had my Toro lawnmower and McLane edger serviced. The repairs were completed to my expectations and the service was completed when they said it would be (2 weeks). Based on my experience with other companies these guys run their company efficiently. The others perform poorly and are poorly managed(lousy workmanship, takes to long for repairs, overpriced). I have found a great place to have service performed for my yard equipment.

AA Power easily outperformed other vendors that I used in the past. I'm glad that I found them. Courteous, knowledgeable, and dependable. They've never disappointed. Very highly recommended.

I have been using AA Power Equipment since I discovered them in Roswell aboout three years ago. I bought my newest Honda mower from them over 2 years ago. They had the best price.I just picked it up on 1/14/2011 from having it's yearly service, and they did a good, quick job of correcting a couple of problems I was having for a reasonable charge. These people are very professional and competent. It is great to have this place in Roswell instead of having to go north of Alpharetta for sales and service on Honda equipment.CW

I have been using AA Power to service and maintain my lawnmower for about 3 years. Service is complete within 3-6 business days unless they have to order a part. I have had repairs done a couple of times and have had no problems with the repairs. They are friendly, respectful and reliable. Location is convenient; dropoffs and pickups are quick and easy.

I took my Honda mower to AA Power Equipment when it refused to run, and my limited mechanical skills failed to remedy the problem. Within a week they repaired it for a reasonable price with suggestions to prevent a recurrence of the problem. All I could ask for!

I dropped my edger off because it wouldn't start. It took over 3 weeks before I got a call that it was repaired. Then when my husband went to pick it up it was leaking fuel all over because they hadn't put the fuel line in place correctly. He had to ask for a plastic back (vs them offering one or offering to clean off the fuel from the exterior of the motor housing) to cover the motor housing to put the edger in the car. A few weeks later I am still noticing a leak and am about to take it back. It'll be interesting to see if they try to charge for fixing this new issue (which hadn't existed prior to taking it in).

Stacia, 1) The reason it took us 3 weeks to repair it was because the reed valve needed to repair your edger was factory back ordered. Normally it takes about 1-2 months for factory back orders to come in. Once we order it, we have to wait for the parts to come in before we go ahead with the repair. 2) We did reinstall the fuel line, however it was old so it did not stay in the fuel tank. That's why we replaced it at no extra charge to you. 3) We are sorry we did not offer you a bag, normally if our customers needed something, they would ask. 4) The fuel was leaking again was because the fuel line we normally used for your Ryobi edger is still a bit small for it so we installed a slight bigger fuel line for you at no extra charge.
My John Deere mower could not start and I took it to this place based on the reviews in this place. Based on their diagnosis, their fix was to adjust the governor spring and I also asked them to replace the clutch cable. Total bill was $100. I took the machine home and was only able to use it once before the same problem/symptoms returned. I took it back AA Power equipment for them to look at the problem again before 15 days even passed. Guess what, they now asked me to pay $115 on top of the $100 I already paid. They claimed that this is a different problem, same symptom. After complaining to them, they reduced the charge from $115 to $95 (Seems like they are asking me to pay for their initial misdiagnosis).Obviously, this sounds like an old trick for for profit maximization. They called me a week or two ago saying that the machine was ready. Yesterday, I went and paid to pick up the machine. Guess what, after paying them the $95, the allegedly fixed machine could not even start. I was so annoyed and left it again for them to look at it for the third time. Hopefully they will not ask for more $$$ this time around to fix the same problem. I am disappointed with AA Power. What a complete rip-off. Today (09/02/10) I spoke to Nun at the shop and I guess what he told me? AA Power is stumped. They can not figure out what is wrong with the Lawn Mower. This is exactly what I had suspected from the beginning. Hopefully they will re-imburse me for the $215 already paid.

Robert, The first time we repaired it, we replaced the broken clutch cable and adjusted the governor spring because you said the speed was too low. You picked it up on 6/22/2010. You brought it back on 7/24/2010 because it wasn't starting, obviously 2 separate issues. If the ignition coil was broken the time before, you wouldn't have been able to mow that 1 time. We diagnosed it to be the ignition coil and said the cost will be $115, we gave you a discount to $95 as a courtesy because you said if it's not worth it, you'll just go buy a new mower. We repaired it and tested it and everything ran fine. When you picked it up, it wouldn't start so we looked into again. Our guys spent a week on it because sometimes it would start and run fine for over 1 hour, other times it wouldn't start at all. We called Briggs and Stratton distributor for help, they couldn't figure out the problems either. So instead of spending more time on a $350 mower, we gave you a refund of $195 ($100+$95 = $195, not $215) so you can go buy a new mower as you had thought about originally. We are sorry for your inconvenience. We treat our customers the way we want to be treated, and we have done all we can in this situation. What more do you want us to do for you?
AA Power Equipment does quality work for a great price. I have been using them for 4 years and I have always received excellent customer service. I recently had to get my Toro lawn mower maintenanced and as busy as they were they were able to complete the job as they promise. Well done.

AA repaired the self-propel system on my Toro lawn mower within the one-week time promised and for a reasonable price. I was pleased that they were able to diagnose what needed to be done on this somewhat complicated repair issue and do the work for a reasonable price and on a timely basis.

I had my 10 year+ Honda mower in for a tune-up. They did a great job and it runs great. I requested a cost estimate on some additional, nonessential repair work that they promptly provided.
