Slow to respond

Twenty minutes on hold after my car overheats on the downtown connector in Atlanta and then a two and a half hour wait for a tow on a Monday afternoon, totally unacceptable.

AAA Auto Club - Good Deal, Good Service

I have been an AAA member for quite a few years but rarely have had to use them. This morning I had a dead battey so I called the 800 number to get a jump for my battery. Within 10 minutes of calling the 800 number I had the AAA truck at my residence. Not only did they arrive so quickly but the AAA man even offered me a complimentary bottle of water. Nice touch!

I originally signed up just as a test; however, after a few months, I knew I had a good deal...the peace of mind for emergency service plus all the discounts on top of it really does mean that it pays for itself...would not be without it!!

Couldn't live without it

If you own a car and drive a lot, like me, you need AAA. One service call pays for your membership. At times, you may wait for what may seem like forever, but the response times of the emergency roadside service seems to be getting better. And I love the maps and TripTiks. And AAA is recognized nationwide, so if you're out of town and need a map of that place, it's easy to find another AAA and walk right in a get a map.

The card fee has already paid itself off. I used it frequently for travel. I wish the towing could be expanded to above 5 miles though.

Thankfully I've only used my AAA service a few times in the 16 years that I've been a member. It's definitely worth the money and is recognized in every state. Always seems to be those dark, rainy nights or during rush hour through... All service personnel have been helpful and empathetic. Keep up the good work.

They AIM to Try

I have been a member for nearly 10 years & never had to use any of their services. Last fall in their magazine they feaured a AAA travel GPS. I attempted to order it before the holidays,finally after several attempts it was available to purchase. They refused my credit card, claiming that my P.O. box was not secure. This is the same address I have had for the entire AAA membership. I pay the membership but what if I need road assistance?

The experience was almost fun. The tow truck guy was efficient, nice and friendly. Made what could have been a horrid experience, something that we actually have fun thinking about now. I definitely recommend getting a membership if you don't have one already.

Great Organization

I have been surprised by how valuable this membership has been over the years. The low yearly fee is worth it. Members can go into any office and get free travel materials. Members can also receive discounted passport photos (about half of what kinkos charges) and discounted tickets to the aquarium and movie theatres.
